Very smooth, two guys showed up, knocked it out very quickly. Went out of their way to clean up the area under the sink and wipe everything down.
Description of Work: Was great, needed sink replaced

Having been gouged previously by an HVAC company, I researched Angie's List and ended up calling McCully Heating and Air Conditioning. McCully also happened to be close to where I live. I spoke with Jim McCully to explain my furnace not working. Jim was very accommodating and scheduled a visit the next day. Jim took the cover off, did a quick diagnostics and was able to pin point the problem immediately. It was the circuit breaker, not the furnace. The breaker was a relic, but he found an exact replacement and installed it the next morning. Furnace is working fine. McCully will be my "go to" HVAC company from now on. It's hard to fine reliable, honest technicians and companies these days.
Description of Work: Checked for problems with heat pump/furnace and repaired it.

He had the perfect opportunity to take advantage of me due to lightening hitting my outdoor compressor. Instead he took everything apart and fixed the individual components (capacitor and wires) And got us cool again in 1.5 hours. Due o the electrical arching and melted components, he could have very easily said the whole unit was bad (somthing I have seen from larger companies). Additionally he came out after business hours after 6 pm and didn't charge us an emergency fee.
Description of Work: Came out to troubleshoot my air conditionaire after a bad electric storm. No ac and didn't call him till 4:30pm the day of outage. He came out same day

Horrible Experience
Description of Work: At the recommendation of a friend, I contacted McCully Heating and Air located in Waldorf, MD to have my HVAC system evaluated. I was immediately put in touch with Jim McCully (the father of the owner of the company I believe) and was given an appointment for the next day. The next day came and I didn’t hear from Jim McCully. I called and was told that he wasn’t going to make it out. Given the time of the day, I assumed as much. Problem #1: McCully Heating and Air lacks professional courtesy. If I hadn’t called Jim McCully, I wouldn’t have been informed by the company that my appointment was being cancelled. Jim McCully promised to come out the very next day. The next day I spoke to Jim McCully and he advised that the street address that I gave him was not located in Hyattsville, MD. Okay, now I am puzzled. He is actually telling me, the homeowner, that I don’t know where my house is located. I patiently wait for him to stop talking to clear up the misunderstanding. But before I could open my mouth to speak, Jim McCully starts to make churn out out a barrage of insensitive comments about the area that he believed my home to be located in. He even insinuated that I misled him about my true address to get McCully Heating and Air (that services Hyattsville, MD) to come out to service my system. This bizarre conversation seemed to go on and on with no end in sight. The more Jim McCully spoke, the more he started to sound like someone in the swamps of Mississippi in the 50’s sitting on a stoop chewing tobacco. I simply could not believe the words that were effortlessly flowing from this man’s mouth. I had to finally end the conversation because I just had to share what I had just experienced with my co-workers. Problem #2: Jim McCully, an employee of McCully Heating and Air is culturally insensitive, rude, disrespectful and an obvious dogmatist. McCully Heating and Air has the right to refuse clients for whatever reason they choose. My problem with McCully Heating and Air is how Jim McCully chose to resolve the situation. If Jim McCully had simply said, I apologize but we don’t service your area, I would have thanked him for his time and moved on to a business that did. Instead Jim McCully pulled me into a ridiculous conversation that at the end of the day didn’t get my need resolved. The biggest problem I have with Jim McCully is how unaware he was to just how insensitive his statements were about the area that he perceived my home to be in. If my house was located in the area that he thought, how rude is it to tell me that my area is not fit to drive your truck into and to recommend someone to service my unit who doesn’t care about what area he works in? Are you serious? I told Jim McCully that I was going to share this story with everyone that I could and he responded that the only reason I would do that is because I have racial hang ups. Go figure? I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone on the basis that it employs rude and culturally insensitive employees and lacks professionalism. If you see a McCully Heating and Air truck coming your way, run in the opposite direction. You could never be too sure about what’s up under the HOOD!!!

I called and scheduled an appointment to have my A/C serviced. I took off a half day of work only to be wasted. I called their 'technician' an hour before the appointment to confirm, left two messages, and called three other times. Not once did I get a response or a call back. They just left me out to dry and wasted my time and annual leave. Unprofessional, discourteous, and infuriating!
Description of Work: All I asked for was a service call to look at my inoperable A/C to assess repairs.

McCully Heating and Air have consistently provided excellent service, are on time and keep appointments. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled, they are very accommodating. They are honest, hard working, and extremely competent. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I experienced a heat pump failure two years after moving into a newly built home. The original contractor was less that cooperative in addressing the warranty issues. Once resolved, their labor charges for replacement were exorbitant. I contacted McCully Heating and Air and was treated much better. They are professional, courteous, on time, and very reasonable in their labor charges. I signed up for a winter/summer maintenance program and it was priced very competitively. The contract was straight forward with no hidden costs. They offer further discounts on accessories such as air filters, etc. Highly recommended.
