Cheryl from Maid Brigade calls every Wednesday to let me know when they will be arriving on Thursday to clean my home. Approximately 2 weeks after the initial deep clean, the team assigned to our house was scheduled to arrive around 12:30 but did not arrive until almost 4 p.m.. This was the week that they were to clean the entire house including the basement (approximately 7000 square feet). They stayed a little over 1 hour. There is no way our entire home can be cleaned in an hour even with 3 people - one of which was a trainee. Needless to say, the cleaning completed was not acceptable. Counter tops had not been cleaned as you could see dirt and food crumbs still on them. The floors had not been swept properly and they neglected to clean the bedroom and bathroom in the basement. The trash was not removed from the basement and the trash that had been removed from the house was dumped on the floor at the bottom of the garage stairs instead of being placed in the trash cans as required. The furniture and wood blinds had been haphazardly dusted. I immediately contacted Cheryl and left her a message indicating that the cleaning was unacceptable. When she did call me back, she did not offer to come back and fix the issues nor did she offer me a discount off of the cleaner. She asked that I leave a list of items that I wanted the team (Kelly and Brandi) to focus on during their next visit. While I did not leave a list for the team, I was at home and pointed out where items were not being properly cleaned. Brandi immediately became argumentative and started shoving our furniture around. She even left the furniture in the family room shoved up against the walls after vacuuming under the couch. Prior to them leaving, I showed both Kelly and Brandi the dust on the blinds in the basement. I also showed them where the counter-tops had not been cleaned properly. I indicated that they needed to sweep the hard wood and tile floors to ensure that there were no loose dirt on them prior to mopping. I stated that these issues were consistent throughout the entire house and needed to be addressed. While Kelly did "fix" the issues I specifically pointed out, she and Kelly did not go back through the house to correct the issues throughout the entire house and simply left. In addition, Brandi continued to exhibit an extremely unprofessional and rude attitude when I pointed out these items. Both blamed the fact that things were not cleaned properly on the products they use. I stated that I would buy the products that I wanted them to use going forward. The next weeks cleaning was mediocre at best. I decided to give them 1 more chance. Cheryl left me a message on Wed 5/18 indicating that the team would be at my house around 12:30 p.m. on Thurs 5/19. On Thursday, my nanny and I took my newborn son to his 2 month pediatric appointment in the morning and I dropped them back at our house a little after 12 p.m. so that someone would be home when Maid Brigade arrived. When I arrived home at close to 2 p.m., Maid Brigade had not arrived yet. I had two messages from Cheryl - one at 11:38 a.m. and one at 11:48 a.m. indicating that the cleaning team was outside the house because a "walk out" had happened early that morning. I contacted Cheryl and she stated that since I did not call her back she had the cleaning team go to another customers. I indicated that she stated that the team would be at the house around 12:30 and that I had been at the pediatricians. I stated that I did have someone at the house prior to the arrival time she communicated the day before and that it was not my fault that the team was able to come earlier than anticipated. Cheryl continuously insinuated that it was my fault that the team was not there to clean my home because I didn't return her call. She also insinuated that she had other customers that were more important and so had instructed the team to not wait until 12:30 to clean my home as committed but to leave. I asked to speak with the owner Lincoln and was told that I could not speak with him until next week. I asked Cheryl when a team could come out to clean my home and that since the cleaning had been less than acceptable up to this point, that I wanted a new team assigned. She said she did not know when that could be accomplished and "had I called her back when she left the message" that should have been able to get a team out to clean my home. At this point, I told Cheryl that we no longer wanted Maid Brigade to clean our home. The total lack of customer service, numerous excuses and trying to place the blame on me for Maid Brigade's issues is totally unacceptable. This coupled with the poor quality of the actual service provided led me to terminate my agreement with them.
Description of Work: Maid Brigade was hired to clean our home (3 levels including basement) on a weekly basis. They were to clean the upstairs, main level and the bath and bedroom in the basement every week. Every other week they were to clean the entire basement as well.

I specifically explained to them that I wanted the bathrooms cleaned because they were in terrible condition. After they left I had to go in and clean up after them. I did not even feel like I wanted them to come back into the house because they do guarantee their work. It made me feel uncomfortable having them clean my house as it is, but I did not want to have to tell them they did a bad job and to do it over. I felt like I was talking to them, and they did not understand me. When they came in the bathroom was my top priority. I did not understand why they came to me saying it was completed when it was not and then start on another section of my house. When I approached them, they said that was the best that could be done. They did offer to send someone else out to clean the bathrooms again, but I decided to decline and do it myself. It made me feel very bothered to have to complain about the job. I will never use this company again.
