His price is very low, he's hard working, and he didn't even complain too much about the impossible parking in Adams Morgan (I did promise to pay a ticket for his slightly illegal parking spot, but he didn't get one). Now the AC is working better. I've already hired him to come to do my other two ZoneLines next saturday. What a joy to meet an honest repair person who also accommodates my work schedule.
Description of Work: Rick came on a Saturday to accommodate my work schedule. He looked at my GE ZoneLine air conditioner/heater that is installed in the wall of my condo that has not been working very well for a while. He took it apart, determined the installer had not done it correctly, and recommended a complete "tune up" and clean.

Description of Work: They came out to fix my window unit air conditioner. They diagnosed the problem. The unit kept freezing up. The technician was honest and said he would repair it but it would be more efficient to buy a new one. He did not charge me for diagnosing the problem but just the service call.

+ -1 moreI received a recommendation for the A/C Doctor's service through the Greenbelter's Community E-mail Listserv. I called and left a message and Rick called me back that same evening. We made an appointment to meet at my house at noontime today (5/30/2013). Let's just say he arrived at exactly noon. He was very polite and knowledgable about window a/c units. We live in a historic Greenbelt home (built in 1937) so it wasn't built for central air. Rick was upfront about his prices and promptly proceeded to clean the window a/c unit. He explained each step and was very careful to clean up any messes. When finished the a/c unit looked nearly new and was blowing much cooler air. I was very satisfied with this service and recommend that anyone with a window a/c unit call Rick to have him clean it.
