+ -1 moreWe have been waiting for Bryce to return to our home . He was contracted through American home shield. He was an hour late the first time he came and barely worked on the issue and stated that it is not his responsibility to move the machine which we could have gotten someone to do had we known that in advance. The machine stopped working a day after he checked it. We have been calling American home shield since to get him back here. After a week we were told that he has not submitted his diagnosis and they cannot do anything until he does that. Here we are a week later and still waiting on Bryce who called me yesterday and promised a returned call later in the day to give a time he will be at the home - NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM. This morning I called several times to American home shield after bryce did not returned mu call or text just to find out after they hand me on hold to contact him, he lied and told them he said to me he would call between today or tomorrow. I was told to move the machine and did all of that with an elderly mom and he is a NO SHOW!! This is going on over TWO WEEKS. The most horrible experience. I don’t know how others are giving him good ratings unless he has a certain type of people that he give better service to but for us he act uninterested very nonchalant. We are people to Bryce with lives that don’t just sit and wait until you decide you want to come. Reliable is the name of your business and you have not been RELIABLE.

+ -1 moreAmazing! If anyone has ANY appliance issues, I recommend "Reliable Appliance Service" owner Bryce Kuhn 410-239-6723. Lives right here in Upperco. Our Samsung Dryer (only 2 yrs old) stopped working and after 4 weeks of runaround from Home Depot and their BS protection plan service company Asurion, all it took was a phone call to Bryce literally at 2:45pm, and by 5:15pm he had come and fixed the issue for less than advertised. Keep him in mind!

+ -1 moreDidn't hear from him about coming on Friday so I called him back. He said he'd looked up that model and could SPECIAL order the parts for $279.00 !!!!! I asked how he could order parts having never seen the machine. His response was " from what you told me it sounded like and was doing " . I told him I was not going to pay for any parts till he came and looked and listened to it run. At this point he said " I am not familiar with that machine and can NOT HELP YOU!!!
Description of Work: Needed my 3 year old Whirlpool repaired. Called this person., told him what was wrong and what was happening. He said he could come on Friday . .... this was on Monday. Gave him Model and Serial number.

+ -1 moreWe recently moved into a new home, and luckily we received a year home warranty when we closed. After a few months, our top oven was not getting hot. The bottom oven worked just fine. I called my home warranty provider and they gave me Reliable Appliances phone number to use as a provider - they said they notified him of my request. Bryce called me after I had spoken with my warranty company and asked some questions about the problem and the ovens serial number. He scheduled my appointment for the next day and arrived on time and ready. He was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. I am very grateful he came out before this storm hits. I will definitely be using him for future appliance needs! Note - I only had to pay my insurance deductible of $100 so I can't give a fair price analysis.

+ -1 moreDuring his first visit, he determined that the motor was in need of replacement. But a few days later, when he replaced the motor, it still would not work. Then, he found that there was some electrical part problem, so he ordered that part. Just to make sure, he put the old motor in and replaced the electrical part. He told us that he would not charge us for the motor if we didn't need it. But, the electrical part, alone, did not fix the washer. So he put the new motor back in. Both new parts resulted in a happy machine. Thank you, Bryce. We will forever use this company for all of our appliance repair needs!
Description of Work: This is the second time we have used this company to repair an appliance for us. The first time, it was a dishwasher. This time, we asked Bryce to repair the washing machine in our stack washer/dryer. With the dishwasher, it was once-and-done. Excellent! The washing machine repair was trickier (there was more than one problem with it) and required a couple of visits. But Bryce never dropped the ball, figured it all out, replaced what needed to be replaced, and now it's working perfectly.

He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail why it would be better to just buy a new one--given the age of refrigerator and the high cost of a manufacturer'a repair . I was very impressed by Bryce's professional manner, knowledge and quick response. I would highly recommend him and contact him again for appliance repair!

Description of Work: Mr. Kuhn came and fixed my washing machine, which had a problem with the drain pump in January of this year. He fixed the problem. Though he fixed the washing machine, he broke the plastic drain tub the washing machine was sitting in. When I asked him about this, he told me it was inevitable as he needed to maneuver the washing machine out and couldn't do it without damaging the drain tub. He said he had no idea how to procure a new one and that the same issue would occur again. The washing machine worked until this week. It suddenly stopped spinning and the error message was "not draining." I called him and he agreed to call me back later that day to settle on a time to come out and look at it. He phoned me at 10:15 pm(!) to tell me that he would be there between 10 and 11 the next day. He came to the house, looked at the machine for a few minutes and stated to my day care provider "I have to go get a part, tell her I will call her." He did not call me after two hours, so I contacted him. He told me he that my washer was too large to maneuver, that he couldn't get it out without potentially spilling water or damaging my carpet and that he didn't know what was wrong with the washer. He ended by saying "there is no upshot for me." He then recommended I contact the manufacturer and left me high and dry with a broken washer. I was concerned that perhaps his previous attempts to fix this machine had caused the current problem and he informed me that his service is only covered for 30 days. I will not use him again and I would recommend others being cautious of using him as well.

He was able to come out that same night and fix it for under $100. He even took a step farther and installed a piece that would prevent our leak from happening again. Loved the price and timing.

In the first instance the price was very reasonable; in the second, it was less so. A bit pricey to secure and replace a knob. Even so, I will definitely use Reliable Appliance again if the need arises.
Description of Work: This time the service provider replaced the knob on one of the range top burners. Previously, he replaced the control panel on the face of the range.
