First off, our salesperson was wonderful. Picked out just right the appliances, matched prices, bought extended warranties. The appliances were delivered in a timely fashion by professional, courtesy people. So initial sale goes off without a hitch..all A's at this point. What happens when something goes wrong is another kettle of fish. They do not support their warranty company. What I mean by this is everyone points fingers at everyone else no one to supports customer. For example: My refrigerator went out on June 17th 2014 service call into HH Gregg service company, appointment set for Friday June 20. Technician arrives two hours late. Comes in says refrigerator busted will be replacing. On Monday service company calls says sending out another technician to verify information on Tuesday. This technician comes in and says sealed system problem. and quot;Iand quot; must call Kitchenaid because this is a manufacturer defect and they are liable to fix it . I call Kitchenaid and appointment is now set. Appointment has been cancelled by repair company twice due to illness. It is now three weeks without a refrigerator. I go into HH Gregg and ask for help. I talk with manager at the Woodbridge store and he says he will ask if he can get me a loaner refrigerator to help and will call manufacturer to see if he can get me a quicker appointment. He says he will call back later in the afternoon with answer. He never calls back. So at long last Kitchen aid representative company shows up and actually takes appliance apart to see what is wrong and it is not a and quot;sealed system problemand quot;. So I am asked to pay because I am outside the manufacturer warranty time frame. I called back to the HH Gregg warranty company while the technician is here and was told they could not authorize payment because supervisors did not come into 9am. I told them I would hold said she could not be on hold for 10 minutes! I told her I have spent weeks without a refrigerator and hours on phone trying to get help. Said sorry! Would have supervisor call. No call. Called back got hold of supervisor said since original company misdiagnosed will pay bill but now needs records. Have sent paperwork but I am not holding my breath. I'm now out an additional money even though I have a and quot;warrantyand quot;. My greatest disappointment was no once cared about the consumer. If it was not an easy fix forget it. The burden was thrown on me to get a working appliance. Parts have been ordered and the manufacturer's representative is scheduled to return with parts on July 17, 2014. This company knows what they are doing at least. I just hope that next week I have a fully functioning refrigerator. So look at time frame..how many families do you know can live without a refrigerator for a month?

The service that they provided was very fast. We purchased the appliance on a Sunday and it was delivered on the following Monday, like overnight and we were impressed with that. Their price was good in comparison to other shops.
Description of Work: We went with HH Gregg for appliance sales and they came out some time in January or February.

Purchasing the applicances from HH Greggs was a nightmare. I won't go into all the details, but suffice it to say, it was painful enough that we would not use them again. Their prices are good, but almost anyone else will match their prices if asked to. Gregg wrote up the order wrong, one of the three appliances was ordered in the wrong color, the delivery/installation instructions were incorrect, and we had to entirely cancel the order once before it was finally done correctly. Even the day of the installation someone was calling to confirm incorrect information. Out of frustration we asked for a refund of our entire purchase, it took two weeks and two visits to their store to finally get our money back. Interesting that they can charge your credit card immediately upon purchase but its take two weeks to give you a credit. In all fairness, the store personnel were nice and cooperative, but all of that is sort of moot when they don't deliver on what was promised. We don't purchase a lot of appliances so it's difficult to say if Best Buy or Sears are much better, but they can't be a lot worse than this retailer. Gregg's corporate office asked for a review of the sale and my wife retold the story. It will be interesting to see if they respond or if this is all just for fun and games. 530/14 The saga continues. We submitted our request for our rebate in the form of a prepaid VISA card. Instead we got an HH Gregg gift card. What a surprise! We don't want the Gregg card even though it's for more money. Just another issue/problem with Gregg. Our advice - don't do business with this company!
Description of Work: We purchased and had installed a dishwasher, microwave oven and a gas oven. HH Gregg sold the appliances and Quality Kitchens did the installation. The installation went well and the workers did a fast and efficient job albeit it was just done yesterday. Hopefully, there won't be any problems with the install.

I bought a Whirlpool front end washer from HH Gregg 1 and 1/2 years ago. Monday, March 31st, I was doing a load on delicate. I went into the room and there was a leak. Upon opening the door, the rubber seal was all wonkie and a wire was hanging loose. I went to HH Gregg who referred me to there repair line. Apparently, the only company they have doing repairs for them of this nature is A and E Factory repairs. They SUCK. I called them. The earliest they could come was April 8th. I had to miss a morning of work. When they got there, they needed a part. They needed to re-schedule. They wanted to schedule for a week later. I was going to be out of town. The technician made arrangements to come the next morning and also have the part there. They came, worked on the machine, replaced the part, and left. I came into work. Today, I have been on the phone with customer service, A and E, you name it. Guess what. The earliest they can come is April 24th. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!

All in all, I am very happy. Mostly it was because of the professionalism and diligence of Travis, the store salesman who intervened to make everything fine. There are multiple levels of people: the store staff, the delivery team, the repairpeople, and the follow-up grade-takers. Everyone is good except that they ended up using the delivery personnel to do a repair and that was bad. Everyone begs that you give them all and quot;5'sand quot; in the follow-up grading. This is apparently very important to their careers. So before I realized they had deserved zero's I gave the bozo's who broke the machine and quot;5'sand quot;. Oh well. So there's no justice in this world. But since all's well that ends well, I must admit I will use HHGregg again. They may make mistakes, but they are very responsive.
Description of Work: Went the Bailey's Crossroads HHGregg and met Travis, the washing machine salesman. Travis is GREAT. He told me that the kind of machine to get was an Electrolux since the door is reversable. So I ordered one and asked that the door be reversed. It was delivered on time and with no problems except that the door had not been reversed. The next day a pair of bozos turned up and reversed the door, but broke the machine in the process. So I complained and they said they would replace the machine on Saturday. Saturday came and went and no one called or came. So I complained again and got a new machine and it was upgraded and the door was very precisely and correctly put on exactly the way I wanted it. And the machine is a dream.

Purchased several appliances. The salesman was not responsive to my phone calls about my back-ordered range. Two phone calls not returned. No response until my son called, and demanded an answer to availability of range. They suddenly had range when I threatened to return the other appliances-washer, dryer, refrigerator and dishwasher. The price was right...but a hassle. Also delivery time is arbitrarily decided on by their automated system, which called at an off-hours time, and did not allow me to change the delivery time to a more convenient time. In other words, automated system called at 9:00 pm on Sunday stating that delivery would be made between 8:30 and 12:30 the following morning. I had requested afternoon delivery. This forced me to rearrange appointments for the following day.

We needed to replace an old gas range in a recently purchased home. After comparing prices we decided on HH Gregg. Brea was very helpful explaining the various brands and features. We had them install the range as well. Scheduling was very easy and they arrived on time. Bill did an excellent job, very conscientious, very polite and very neat as was his assistant. He also checked that the exhaust vent was working properly. We would use this company again for any future appliances.

The H.H. Gregg warranty service is confusing and terrible. Our Whirpool washer that we purchased from H.H. Gregg in October 2011 began leaking recently, so we called for a repair service. When we bought the appliance, we also purchased their 5 year extended warranty thinking this would cover anything in the event something went wrong. When we purchased the washer we were never told or given any information on who to call in the event our appliance needed a warranty repair. So, in this case we looked up the phone number for the H.H. Gregg store on the internet (Fairfax, VA where we made the purchase), and called the store. After several prompts through their automated system, a female operator answered and we explained the situation. She advised us that if our appliance was under warranty there would be no charge. Since it was, we had her schedule us an appointment. However, the operator was apparently from a local repair company, Aand E Services, contracted with H.H. Gregg. However, she never identified with whom she was associated, and this was a big mistake. We ended up getting charged $98 for a service call by Aand E Services that is now NOT reimburseable. On top of all this, although the Aand E technician was nice, he could not figure out the problem and he misrepresented the findings on his report saying the problem would and quot;not duplicateand quot; even though he acknowledged that it was leaking. After this disappointment, we looked up and called the H.H. Gregg warranty department to follow up on this issue, and they gave us the phone number of yet another company, Warrentech, with whom they contract warranty service through. Warrentech advised us that since we called Aand E Services directly they could not reimburse us for the service call. We tried to explain to them we believed we were talking with H.H. Gregg when we initially called, but instead got Aand E Services after going through all their automated prompts. We also told them that the washer was still leaking, and we would like for another repairman to come out to try and fix it. Warrentech contacted Aand E Services and had us scheduled with them again but the second guy never showed up. Needless to say, this is just a snapshot of what we have been going through to get our washer fixed. We are still going through this process because our washer still leaks and Warrentech is now trying to get another company to come out and look at our washer. We have been very disgusted and disappointed with this whole experience!

The Sterling location was the only place we could find a refrigerator that met the dimensions of our current refrigerator. The sales pitch was low-key and they allowed us plenty of time to browse without feeling pressured. Delivery was on-time and the delivery/installation men thorough and efficient. They also took care not to scratch our hardwood floors during the delivery.

Description of Work: I talked to a salesperson on the phone about ordering a Whirlpool dishwasher that was highly recommended in Consumer Reports. I went to the store, but they didn't have that model. A young man was very helpful and placed the order. This was early on a Saturday evening. He said they could deliver it on Tuesday and that someone would call me the night before with a time frame. They did call the night before and the next morning, the installer called and said he was running ahead of schedule and he could come earlier. I said that would be fine. He installed it quickly and efficiently with no problems. I had gone to Lowe's to check out their dishwashers, but they could not deliver it until the end of the month. I didn't want to be washing dishes that long, so I was happy that HH Gregg could deliver it so promptly. I was very pleased with the whole shopping experience.
