Description of Work: Mr. Haygood came by to service my furnace. The furnace would come on and after 30 seconds it would turn off. I called him and he came by that evening. After fixing the problem he stayed another 30 mins to let the furnace go through 2 on and off cycles. The problem was fixed and my family slept in a warm house that night.

+ -1 moreHaygood is professional, responsive, prompt and incredibly good at his craft. We have used him for regular maintenance and for problem solving / trouble shooting. On several occasions he identified problems that prior service people (and our home inspection) missed. His prices are fair, and he has always been available within a reasonable time when we needed his assistance. I would recommend him to anyone.

+ -1 moreThe furnace was dripping water inside my house. Water was running down the furnace and onto the floor. When Mr. Damian Haygood arrived on-time, he discovered that the outside condensate drain was clogged. Thus, the furnace was slowly draining water outside. This was the reason water was dripping from the furnace inside the house. Mr. Haygood cleared the drain, which fixed the problem. The furnace stopped dripping water inside the house. In addition, he checked the refrigerant pressure in the air conditioner to verify the air conditioner had sufficient coolant. As a result, the refrigerant pressure was fine.
Description of Work: Mr. Haygood cleared the furnace drip line (i.e., condensate drain) outside the house. This fixed the problem of water dripping from the furnace inside the house. He also checked the refrigerant pressure in the air conditioner.

Description of Work: This is actually the 2nd time I have used Haygood Mechanical. Damian is now my go-to guy for all heating and A/C needs. I first used him on New Years day 2010. The furnace in my house went out and wouldn't start. He examined the furnace and determined that the high winds triggered a safety mechanism. I was impressed that he came out on such short notice on a holiday. I called him again in April when the AC wouldn't come on. It was a little more difficult to identify the problem this time (it was an electrical problem) but everything is working fine now.

+ -1 moreWorking with Mr. Haygood was a wonderful experience. He was honest, professional and made clear explanations of what was wrong and how he would attempt to correct the problem. Even when faced with fierce mosquitos he did not complain, he just went and purchased repellent and came right back. I felt so bad I offered to pay for it but he refused. He then offered to and changed the filter in the furnace.
Description of Work: Mr. Haygood had to correct a problem created by a well-known, major heating and contractor in the area. They replaced a motor in the air conditioning unit and put it in backwards and wanted to charge an unreasonable amount of money to correct their mistake. Mr. Haygood came looked at the problem and was astonished that the motor was in backwards and corrected the problem.
