Perfect Painters

This company is awesome! They painted my house inside and out flawlessly! They also installed gorgeous vinyl plank flooring and carpet. I can’t say enough about the quality of the work! Workers were great and very efficient. The only glitz was in communication and that was partially because I’m difficult to reach. Would definitely give them a high recommendation!

From start to finish this was wonderful experience. Brayden came out and gave us an estimate within 24 hours of our online request. He was extremely helpful in this process . He quickly responded to all the questions my husband and I had before setting up our project. Edwin and his crew were extremely professional. They were on time, polite, and courteous. They worked quickly and efficiently. The interior of our house looks amazing. We are so happy with the job they did for us! We will 100% recommend Perfect Painters and more to anyone we know looking for a painter.

Job was bid as 2 days, prime bare wood, paint 2 coats enamel. Price seemed fair for that work. The good: workers on-time and pleasant, all surfaces were well sanded, final finish looks good. The uncertainties: no primer in sight. Asked painter and he said primer only used on new cabinets not repaint jobs. There was some pealing and bare wood exposed on cabinet doors. Enamel paint can says to prime bare wood before top coat. Job bid for 2 days and finished in 6 hours because they only allowed 30 minutes drying between enamel coats. Paint can says dry 4 hours between coats. Maybe will be OK because it was a warm dry day. Won't really know if job will stand up for a couple years. Based on 3 workers for 6 hours, allowing $100 for paint that works out to over $90 an hour. Even with overhead that seems excessive and I feel like I am overpaying for what actually occurred as opposed to what was bid.

Half of the work contracted was completed by Perfect Painters. There were a total of 6 different contractors who came to my home. One who went to get supplies and NEVER came back, two more came and had terrible attitudes after being an hour late, turned them away. The owners didn't believe me until I sent them the video camera footage, at which point he stated this wasn't the first incident with the guy. I decided to hire someone to finish the work (backsplash) and informed them I would pay the remaining balance AFTER I received a quote. They actually charged my bank card, the same bankcard they told me they didn't keep on file. I had to threaten to contact my bank and an attorney. The funds were released. I had someone else do the backsplash. It was less expensive, less stressful, and in a timely fashion. I did pay PP the remaining balance of the work completed. I would not use them again.

We recently quoted out the painting of our front hallway (includes vaulted ceiling) to 4 different vendors. We chose Perfect Painters because they offered the same level of service (and paint quality) as the other three, but were the most competitively priced (two of the other vendors over-quoted us for a very straightforward project - walls were in great shape: it was just a refresh paint job on the upper walls above the chair rails and molding. One was $1,100 more expensive than Perfect Painters!). When I told these vendors that they had lost the bid due to pricing, both suggested that they were "very comfortable" with the prices they quoted us and suggested that we might be getting a lower quality job from Perfect Painters. I can assure you that was not the case - the team arrived on time and quickly got to work covering the area in tape and plastic. The team of three expanded to 4 or 5 in the afternoon to complete the job in about 6 hours (2 coats on walls, ceiling and crown molding). They did an excellent job and left the space as they found it. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will use them again for my next painting job. Beware of other vendors out there who will jack up the price and try to justify it by suggesting that the job is complicated by elevation (the ceiling is about 19 feet high at the highest point - its called a ladder!, or the fact that they have to tape the banister!) Next time, I won't waste my time and simply have Perfect Painters do the job for me. They are honest and straightforward and the crew who did the job were very friendly and efficient.

Below is the information I sent to the production team today (Tuesday November 3, 2020) and the salesman. It sums up how things went. Greetings Andrew, Sam, As we close out this process, I want to go on record with my concerns regarding the work done, as I have had the opportunity to inspect everywhere that was painted. Here are all the things observed that will be noted in my review. 1. Painter painted back and side splashes of vanities in bathroom on first floor. Even after doing touch up, he removed the paint, and then instead of putting painters tape on the vanity, he repainted the walls in the bathroom, put white caulk on the vanity when I originally had clear caulking, and repainted it. I even wrote in spanish what needed to be done, and provided it to the painter and it was still done incorrectly. I am extremely disappointed about this as now I have to incur additional costs to have the paint removed, the walls repainted, and the clear caulking put around the vanity. This is most annoying as it is the bathroom guests use when they enter my townhome. 2. There is paint in many unexpected places. The painters took the wall plates off the socket receptacles and light switches, which makes perfect sense. But why did they paint the actual receptacles and some of the switches. I indicated to Sam I was replacing the wall plates, not the actual receptacles. Now I will have to replace them as well. There is paint on many cords, not clear why they did not just unplug them, particularly the lights. I left them in so they could see. There is paint on the inside of one of the hand railings on the stairway which suggests sloppiness. The painters did not put painter's tape around the railing. There is paint on the curtain rod hooks affixed to the wall. I can see painting nails, but the curtain rods? There is paint on my wooden doors, and on windows. 3. Despite indicating in an email to Andrew, and telling the woman who called me on Wednesday October 28, 2020 that I was not available until after 3pm on Thursday October 29th , the painter showed up to do the touch ups at 8:30am on Thursday, right before my video meeting. He indicated that he was not informed by you of the time he should come. That was unprofessional. The painter ended up coming back the next day (Friday) to do the touch ups. 4. The painter had considerable difficulty taking down the blinds in the kitchen, because they had put them up incorrectly when they originally did the painting. In fact, the painter wanted to just paint around the blinds. I told him no. Not only did the painters put the blinds up incorrectly, but they also did not wait until the paint dried before putting it up, which messed up the work. Also, because the blinds were not put back up correctly, one of the strings popped resulting in the blinds not laying properly now.

I ended up going with another company that was a lot less in price.

It went well with the exception of the crown molding I paid for and never received. This was one of the items that I stressed and was assured the it would be done. I reached out to Ryan, to no avail! Maybe once they see this review I will get my crown molding as agreed upon and paid for. Still waiting on a call back.

Wonderful. First day they power washed the entire house, second day taped and painted the house in about 10 hours.

Mike came out to do the estimate was very courteous and straightforward. Andrew (GM) and Crystal sent Dustin to my house day 1 to review the job and assess the rotted wood situation for all windows. Dustin, a truly gifted carpenter with your best interest in mind, spent an hour reviewing his plan of action and gathering information about where to get materials and which materials to get. He reviewed everything with me, and by noon of day 1 there was new material on site and Dustin was working hard with a smile on his face the entire time. Day 2 the general manager Andrew worked to move things along by having the painters arrive on the heels of Dustin finishing up his work. Several windows had brick moulding and sills replaced right as painters were ready to get to them. All 37 window trims were undoubtedly professionally painted to the new color. I asked for a add-on during day 2 (some trim work on the roofline) that they handled quite well despite the height. This is a well trained, passionate group of painters and a carpenter who can work magic who knocked it out of the park. A small discrepancy in the final bill was worked out within 8 hours of completion as well with no trouble. I would highly recommend.

Reasonable, clear estimate was received promptly and work was scheduled promptly and completed in a timely manner. Everyone we dealt with was personable and professional. The wonderful team sent to do the job worked diligently and neatly. They did a great job with the carpentry as well as the painting. Wow! These guys were perfection itself. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. It was a crew of 5 and, boy, were they industrious. The only break they took was for a short lunch. The walls required two coats of paint--and they were so organized that they finished the entire project in one day. Besides painting, they filled in nail holes and repaired cracks where trim had pulled away from the walls because I keep the humidity extremely low in my house all year. They taped, had drop cloths and plastic to protect my floors and furniture (which they moved themselves). I could not have asked for a better experience.

Ryan from Perfect Painters came out to the house after I reached out to them via Angies List. He immediately did the measurements and reviewed my requirements. We agreed on a price, which was within my budget, and a few days later work began. The whole process (demolition, hanging new drywall, plastering, carpentry, and painting) took about 4 days. I was pretty impressed with the guys who performed the work. We had to make a change "on the fly" because the crown molding wasn't available and we went with rails on the walls instead. Overall very happy with the work and final result.

I couldn't be more pleased. The crew of painters went above and beyond my expectations, plus they were so pleasant with whom to work.

Perfect Painters were very professional in every aspect from planning and pricing the project to following through. The proposal thorough and priced competitively. The agent answered all questions we had and explained what to expect. The painting project foreman and work crew were punctual, professional and courteous and they were very respectful of our house and furniture. They worked very hard and completed the project in one day to include two coats of paint. The team who performed the modifications to our house were equally professional. I was very impressed by the initiative shown by the team in trying to locate the exact piece of material that I had requested. The foreman visited hardware stores all over the area until he located the exact article many miles away in Baltimore (we don't live anywhere near there). I would certainly use them again and strongly recommend them.
