Mr. Sandless Baltimore

Sam was very friendly and professional during the Pre-sale process. But once I hired him to refinish my floors, he outsourced the work to a subcontractor, and was nowhere around. There were so many issues with their work, but I’ll try to keep it brief. I was renovating my old home to sell, after we moved out. 1. While scheduling contractors, I tried to schedule the flooring first, but Sam told me it didn’t matter. In fact he suggested that I schedule the painters and others to do their work before the flooring, “because the other contractors might mess the floors up”. Boy was he wrong!!! His crew came in messed up the new carpets, the walls, vents and everything. I had to pay the painters extra to do touch ups, and hired two separate cleaning crews to clean up their mess. 2. Because he outsourced the work, the sub crew saw some issues with the selected color when they sand the floors and started the work, but they didn’t care. They completed the entire floors anyway!! The stairs and the upstairs looked horrible. When I reported it to Sam, he tried to convince me to “sell as-is” and he will work with the buyer. I refused and insisted that he fix it before moving forward. I believe in quality work. Long story short, he delayed my listing by another 2-3 weeks, he was less responsive during this process and many more. I would call and text multiple followups before he responds, sometimes days later. He ended up doing the rework and I added some extra money to his payment, simply because it caused extra to do the rework, though it was their fault. The over work was not the quality anyone would except, so I had to hire 2 other professionals to finish up the stairs and other parts that wasn’t done right.

Heath and Ryan arrived on time and did a thorough job. Attention was paid to detail.

Mr. Sandless was outstanding from start to finish! It took us a while to make the decision, but Lynn stayed in touch and when we were ready, so were they! We had the floors sanded the old fashioned way, then stained and sealed. Our job was a bit of a challenge as we had our original raw floors in most areas and pre-finished flooring in two rooms that never matched and now they do! It’s hard to tell that all of the floors weren’t laid at the same time. Our floors are beautiful! Thank you Sam, Heath and Jeremy!

Sam and his crew did an amazing job bringing my 100 year old floors back to their original beauty. They were all professional and incredibly thoughtful throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Mr. Sandless!

Perfectly! Very professional and very knowledgeable. The owner did a site visit and was very upfront and honest.

It was amazing! Sam told me that they wouldn't be able to completely get rid of the discoloration contrasts, but they almost did and the floors look gorgeous! I am over-the-moon with the results! The workmen were obsessed with details and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Not a speck of dust was produced. It was all done with a solution which was certified green. Had to keep the cats in a room for a few hours--that's all. Floor refinishing doesn't get any easier that that!

This was an excellent company to work with. Sam was very instructive in the process and the Technicians, Heath and Matt, were very professional and a joy to be around. They knew what they were doing! I chose the 3 day process (though it can be done in 1-2 days) to allow for movement of furniture after the sections were done. I didn't have to deal with the fine dust that sanding involves (though they did hand sand a few places that really needed extra attention). The floors look and feel great! I would strongly recommend this company in the future!

It came out as a good wax job. We could've done this ourselves for a lot less. We had a spill on the floor shortly after they finished the work. We asked them to come back and repair the section, for which we would pay. They never showed. They were late on the day of service. We had to wait almost a month on their schedule.

Compared to sanding floors in other houses in the past this process was neat and clean and the floors are beautiful. There were no harsh smells and we comfortably stayed in the house between the2 days it took to finish all the floors. Sam did an excellent job of explaining the process and was thorough with the estimate. Heath and Matthew did a great job on the floors and moving the heavier furniture as needed. Heath was particularly good at explaining the process as he did the job and giving details on how to care for the refinished floors.

The guys did an excellent job on our floors. Everyone that we dealt with was pleasant and professional. Our appointments were handled punctually and scheduled at our convenience. We had a great experience and recommend them highly!

As I have already stated, they did a wonderful job! My floors look absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone that does not want to deal with the old way of dusty sanding etc,

We were told that our hardwood floors in our living and dinning rooms could not be refinished. We had several estimates to replace these floors and the cost was well over our budget. We called Sam at Mr. Sandless of Baltimore and our floors are beautiful. Heath Garcia and Matthew are the best!!!

I contacted this company by phone to arrange for an estimate. I had at least one room, with the possiblity of 5 rooms that needed floor work. I waited 2 or 3 days and never got a call back. So I called a second time, still never got a call back. I thought that perhaps they were having phone problems. I finally tried to reach Mr Sandless via email through the website. This worked and Sam called me the next day. We arranged to met on a Tuesday around noon. That Tuesday Sam left me a phone message a few minutes before I was to leave work for home saying that Tuesday wouldn't suit and switched our appointment to the next day, Wednesday at 1pm. Wednesday he never showed. There no phone call of explanation or an apology for wasting my time.

It went very well. The provider arrived in a timely manner. Cleaned my floors several times. Dried my floors. Then, the provider applied a couple coats of stain, since my floors were damaged. After they dried, he applied a heavy coat of polyurethane. They floors dried within an hour and a half. I put the furniture back in my living room after 24 hours. My floors look beautiful. I am pleased with this provider and the services provided. I would use them again.

Very pleased with the initial visit to scope and price the job. Sam was very informative and promptly got me on his schedule. His crew arrived the day of the job, Heath and Matthew went straight to work preparing for the days work. They were all business and took great pride in their work. They used a buffer to scratch and etch the finish before applying 2 base coats and 1 finish coat. The floors look great and I didn't break the bank.

Sam Almengor is the owner of Mr. Sandless. Following some internet queries for refinishers to do a child's bedroom and stairway, Sam called me immediately and explained his company and work that he does, which included sandless refinishing. He was very enthusiastic about his work on the phone, and so I invited him to my home for a quote. Sam was very professional. He arrived on the day and time he said he would. He was very professional, taking his time to inspect the floor which needs replacement of floor boards and some repairs in certain areas. He explained thoroughly what he would do, how we would get the replacement materials, measured in detail, and explained the type of wood he would use, in addition to the finishing process he would use. Before he left, he provided a price which was slightly higher than the price the supplier I chose to use provided, so I would deem him very reasonable. He also said he'd start the job the same week and finish. Just going by our experience in soliciting a quote from Mr. Sandless, I wouldn't hesitate to call him again as he was very easygoing, professional, and quality concious which is what I like . I recommend him to others considering refinishing their floors.

This was the first time we have had any major renovation done to the house since we bought it. There's still much to be done, but the floors had to be taken care of first. As a contractor, Sam has all of the qualities you would want: honest, reliable, and easy to get a hold of. We initially wanted to have the work done in October, but uncertainty with the Government shutdown pushed things back a bit. Two months later, he still honored the original quote. The work pretty much speaks for itself; it's outstanding. The technicians showed up both days on time and ready to work. One of them seemed much more knowledgeable than the other, but they worked well together and got the job done. They answered all of our questions with straight and honest answers. They explained as much about their process as they could and made us feel more comfortable about it. There is really a remarkable difference in the appearance of our floors since the work has been completed. Our once dingy and dull floors now have new life and at a fraction of the cost of new. Overall, we couldn't be happier. The work was done professionally, on time, and at the agreed upon price. One last thing about the Mr. Sandless process: it's green and virtually dustless. This was a concern for us because we have a one-year old and he was able to stick around while the work was being performed. We would definitely recommend the company and their process to anyone looking to have the same work performed.

My living room floor was so messed up and looked horrible (polyurethene chipping everywhere and the coloring was so bad) and the dining room floor was so dull with no shine. Now my floors look awesome. Better than I ever imagined. The staff was so professional and nice and did such an outstanding job. I would recommend them to everyone. I'm going to have them come back to refinish the hardwood floors in the bedrooms.

The 3 men worked very hard and Sam wanted the floors to be perfect.. just what I wanted, too. He was here both days, supervising the work and also refinishing the floors. We had too much furniture to move it all to the kitchen, so they worked on the living and kfamily rooms the first day. On thbe second day, they moved the china cabinet for me and refinished the dining room. At THanksgiving, my guests commented how pretty the hardwood floors are. I was given a 5-year warranty on the work. What a nice group of men to work with and I'm so proud of my floors now. They are beautiful, w/o all the mess!!!
