Poor workmanship. Do not use this company. Too much of a hassle to fix problems.

Great value and workmanship! I hired them to replace my roof and gutters. Only knock against them was that I wasn't informed ahead of time that the gutters would be installed on a different day and had to call them to know when that would be. Otherwise, excellent work!

Replaced both house and detached garage roofs. This was not an insurance claim. Sales rep: Pat I interviewed three separate contractors, so why did I choose Homelife? 1. Overall - their cost beat the other two contractors; in one case by $3k and the other by $4K. I broke down the components between the contractors to determine which package gave me the most bang for the buck. 2. I chose GAF products. Ridge vents, edge vents etc. You may not be aware, but here is a base, Silver and Gold levels which have corresponding cost levels. GAF has a Roof to Troops program, which was not mentioned by Homlife; I found out by their competitor and reviewing the GAF product's on line. While it is only $250, its money back into my pocket. The weather kept pushing back my removal/installation date, which is no real surprise. 50 linear foot of board was required to repair damaged roof. I had already known that it would possibly be in this range, from my attic inspection I had conducted. Parts offload/delivery was an issue due to power lines, but the shingles and remainder of items were delivered prior to the work. In all, the work commenced around 0700ish and completed around 5pm. No lawn damage. Clean up was good, I only found two nails, which from my view is outstanding. And the roof looks great :)

Had a pretty great experience with Homelife when we replaced our roof. The owner communicated often and was easy to speak with. Our driveway was cracked by the delivery company, not Homelife, and upon calling Ed (Homelife's owner) he promised it would be taken care of. The delivery company denied any fault but they agreed to pay for the cracks to be patched. Everyone I've spoken with about the price says it was a great deal and they were surprised at how little we paid. The roof looks great and it was completed in one day. The reason I only gave 4.5 stars instead of 5 is that the roofers had to remove several skylights in our house which allowed a ton of debris and dirt to fall onto our furniture and floor. It took us several hours of cleaning to get it all off the sofas, counter tops, and support beams (it's a vaulted ceiling). The owner, Ed, told me that he would have told us to move the furniture or put down a tarp but he wasn't expecting to have to take the skylights all the way out. Aside from that, everything went very well. I'd definitely work with Homelife again and I'd recommend them to a friend.

Awesome salesman and workmanship on the roof.

Pat the sales representative was very professional and it helped that he had roofing experience. He was able to answer all of our questions to our satisfaction. Not like other roofing contractors we interview, who representatives only know sales ( using pamphlets and power points) with no roofing experience. The roofing materials were delivered but because of the weather conditions installation was delayed for several days. Ed stayed in contact with us during this time. The roofing crew arrived on a day when we just had heavy rains and very low temperatures, causing ice to form on the roof. I did not allow them on the roof because of safety reasons. Two days late the crew arrived and went right to work and finished that afternoon. They did a good job of cleaning up. The roof looks nice and appears they did a good job. We just had rain, an it didn't leak. Now we are waiting for the company to install new rain spouts and gutters.

Homelife was very professional from my initial contact with them until their follow-up after my new roof was installed. Due to inclement weather the installation was postponed a few days, but Ed called me each morning to give me an update. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

My roof looks great and they were very professional and thorough. In fact, the materials were delivered on a Friday and they were supposed to start the work the following Monday. They postponed it because of the weather and were very good at communicating. I left for work by 8am and returned by 7pm and everything was done and there was no sign of them being there except the materials were gone. They did a great job of replacing my roof and cleaning up.

The roof looks great. The project was completed on time. There were a couple of issues that were resolved immediately by the owner/president of the company. The property was cleaned up afterwards except for some bits of asphalt and a fair amount of nails but I took care of that. I would recommend Ed and his team for any future roofing job. A class act!

Appointments were kept on time. Work was accomplished. Asked several times about cleaning up nails and workers assured me all was picked up. Have not heard anything from customer service during or after the job was done.

I hired homelife for a recent roof replacement. I went with them because of Ray who seemed like a genuine guy and wasn't pushy about making a sale. So everything was going well until I received a call from the owner of the company who reported that I needed 14 pieces of wood replaced. 14 x 50 is roughly $700 more than I budgeted. I do appreciate the call but I personally felt that 14 pieces of wood being replaced is a bit excessive. The second issue is that they replaced my skylight, and when I walked in my living room every piece of wood an nail from the replacement was on my sofa and actually damaged my sofa. I should ask for reimbursement for a new sofa to counter balance the additional wood cost. I had to shampoo my sofa due the the dirt that fell from the roof. The second issue is that the workers should have used a magnet to pick up the nails, instead they used a leaf blower to blow the nails on the grass. So I had to do an additional sweep of my driveway which I found several nails on the driveway and my back patio. So I guess they would like me to get a new roof and new tires. No my I'm afraid my niece playing in my yard, before she falls and slips on a nail left by this company. The roof looks nice yes, and I wont take away from the quality of work that that they did. But please be careful in your cleaning up practice and making sure you leave the home the way it was before you leave.

The roof looks great. They cleaned up after both days of work. There were still some tiny black bits of the asphalt on the deck and a few nails that I cleaned up after the job was complete. Also I was home during most of the roof removal and saw that they threw down all the bits of the old roof. I saw a piece of metal edging from the top of the roof line on the deck. Later I noticed a scrape on the french door and the frame that didn't come out when rubbed with a magic eraser. So will need to be repainted.

A company with honesty & integrity that you can trust will do things correctly and will not try to sell you more than is required. They kept me up-to-date on the status and did a quality job. I had other companies that came out to give an estimate and they spent hours trying to get your business by using hard sell methods. Homelife came out, told me what needed to be done, and then let me make the decision. I would highly recommend them for any roofing project.

Communication and adhering to promises made to customers is critical for a business !! ~No information at the time that I signed the contract regarding a 3% fee when using a credit card for payment . ~I was informed that a general contractor would be on site all day during the roof replacement period, but no one was available. The gentleman that was "In charge", spoke very little English and did not comprehend what I was saying. ~No one from the company ever came by to conduct a final walk through with me. ~During the installation of the roof, they broke one of my flood lights and did not inform me ~I was charged $50 a sheet for 12 pieces of wood, which I was assured that I would not need that many pieces of wood when I signed the contract. Not to mention, I found a invoice in my yard stating one piece of wood is $18, but they assured me that they aren't making money when pieces of wood have to be replaced. ~I should have gone with another contractor when it came to having my roof installed...You live and you learn !!

We rec'd at least 6 different quotes and Homelife was the cheapest and still offered the same quality and warranties. We were very happy with the workmanship and communication we rec'd.

Homelife Remodeling Inc. is great. Even though we had some miss communications due to weather but the quality of workmanship is well worth it. Thank you Ed.

They were great to work with and kept me informed every step of the way. They used quality materials at a fair price, completed the installation in one day, and did a great job cleaning up before they left. I especially liked that they didn't give a high pressure sales pitch; They let their price and past performance speak for them. I would hire homelife again should I have a need in the future.

Workers were very professional and they worked together as a team. They cleaned up everything off the ground and left no evidence anywhere. They did a really good job. I would recommend Homelife Remodeling to anyone.

Quick responses to all questions before the job. Price was fair and competitive compared with other quotes we received. The job was done professionally and much faster than I thought it would be. Would definitely recommend.

Work was done as scheduled and of excellent quality. Workers were polite, professional, competent, and made sure I understood what they did and were very willing to answer any questions. Homelife was a pleasure to work with from the President, Ed Chmar, who was readily available if I had any questions and was always ready to explain what the overall engagement's expectations were and the lasting benefits of both the product and its and his company's guarantees, down through the workforce. We have a large, complicated roof that would normally take two full days to finish. But, because an imminent heavy rain storm was predicted for later that evening, they responded by bringing in additional staff to complete the job in one day . And, true to their word, they did not want to be paid anything until I was totally satisfied. I wish all companies were as reliable and ethical as Homelife. I would highly recommend them.

It has been well over a year since they did the job and there are no problems - no hidden leaks, no shingles falling off, no nails showing up in the yard from the tear-off. Overall a very good job at a very competitive price. Plus a great warranty - which I hope I never need! I have tried using them again for repairs on other properties, but they only do full roof installs (plus repair their own work, but no repairs on pre-existing). So I would definitely use them again if and when the need arises.

They worked quickly and cleaned up before leaving.
