Excellent works. 3 hours services was purchased from Angie's list and the job was finished within 4 hours as we encountered some challenges during the toilet replacement.

It went very well. The work is Good.

Jarro did amazing work, unbelievably quickly, was professional, and even offered tips on things we could do ourselves rather than spending money. Going forward, we will use JA Renovations and Home Improvement for all of our repair/building needs.

Great. He showed up right on time, and he completed all the work quickly and well. I hope to hire him again in the future.

Jairo did a wonderful job!!! He had a positive attitude, and welcomed any suggestions I had. My to-do list is no more. Realistic expectations are a must with any renovation projects around the house. I don’t have a list anymore, but if you do, call Jairo to get an estimate of exactly how much time it will take. Not having to worry about projects hanging over your head is well worth the effort.

Jairo has been two my house twice - once to hang a light fixture and then to install shelves. Both times he has been extremely professional and prompt. He does an excellent job and he is very knowledgeable about houses (which is important to us because we have an older home, so sometimes wiring etc. can get tricky). I highly recommend his services if you are looking for help around your home.

JA Renovations did an excellent job! First, the owner was very prompt getting back to me and answered all my questions thoroughly. We indicated what we wanted him to do, and he was able to complete everything on our list. Extremely hard working and did an excellent job. He even saved us some money. We had a leaky faucet and plumbers told us it's cheaper to replace the faucet rather than find the part and fix the faucet. JA took a quick look at the faucet and fixed it for us. Therefore we were able to return the $90 new faucet. We are very thankful! Highly recommend.

I had bought a custom made bookcase that I needed assembled and installed in a nook we wanted to use. I could've done it myself but I didn't have large clamps to assemble it appropriately and pricing out the clamps would've been more expensive than hiring this company to do it. I talked to the owner via phone and email and asked for reassurance that they would be able to assemble the bookcase. I even sent the step by step directions the cabinet maker gave me, and a list of all the tools and glue they would need, and the owner told me they could definitely do it. The contractor (not the owner) arrived on time, which was nice... but I noticed that he didn't have any tools with him that would be used to assemble a bookcase: no glue, no clamps, all he had was a hammer, drill and other "typical" tools. I wrongly assumed that maybe he wanted to see the job first and had additional tools in his van. Because we just had the room freshly painted and new carpet, I asked him to assemble the bookcase in another unfinished room right next door, and I had even set up two sawhorses for him. I handed him the instructions, he glanced at them and said "no problem." I asked if he needed wood glue (as I didn't see that he had any, and he replied, "No. I'll just nail it together." I pointed out that the instructions very clearly said to use wood glue on the sides and panels. After I had to convince him to use glue, he asked if I had any wood glue! It just so happens that I did so I gave it to him. That should've been my first clue, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. So I left him to his work. I checked on him a half hour later and saw him gluing the bookcase together as it was lying on the brand new carpet!! Glue was dripping down the sides and onto the carpet! Holding in my anger, I politely pointed out to him that this was new carpet (2 days old) and that glue was dripping onto it and I wanted him to work on the bookcase in the next room. I even helped him carry the bookcase and put it on the sawhorse again. I then left the room. I came down 45 minutes later and he was ONCE AGAIN gluing the bookcase together on my carpet! He had also leaned another part of the bookcase against my new wall with a nail outward, puncturing a hole in my wall! When I pointed that out, he said he would fill it in and fix it. He was gluing the last part of the bookcase together and ready to install it into the nook. That's when I noticed he didn't even clamp down the sections! There were NO clamps. I contemplated sending him home, but figured I had paid for 3 hours of work and he only had to stick the bookcase into the nook, what more damage could he do? BOY was I wrong. I left for a few minutes only to hear ferocious pounding from the room and raced in. Because the bookshelf was assembled incorrectly (as I said, he did NOT use any clamps) it would not fit properly, so he thought to "pound" it into place with a hammer. Subsequently, he struck ANOTHER huge hole in the wall (again he assured me that he would fill in the hole) and there were clear hammer strike marks all up and down the bookcase. There were large gaps all around the bookcase and it actually looked like a crazy door out of the movie, "Beetlejuice." It was that horrible. When I pointed out the shoddy job, he shrugged his shoulders, said he was finished and left. Upon inspection, my custom made bookcase not only was crooked with visible gaps in the seams (once again, he just glued them together) but there was paint along the edges. Paint? I called him back and he said the paint was on the bookcase when he pulled it out of the box. Interesting. Because the paint that was on the bookcase MATCHED the paint that we had for the wall. I looked at the holes he made that he said he would "fill" and there were large globs of paint covering the holes... he also tried to paint in the cracks where the gaps were! So basically, he found the can of the paint that was used earlier in the week to paint the room and painted all his holes, scratches, and mistakes. What's even more interesting, is that the paint was stashed away in a closet in another room.... I called the owner the same day and he asked for photos. We sent them to him and he expressed his apology for the work and said he'd come out and take a look in the next couple of days. He did come out and try his best to fix it, which was very nice of him, but at that point, there is not much you can do when the door was assembled incorrectly in the first place and also ruined aesthetically.

Not good. I think someone tried to contact me once. I tried unsuccessfully tried multiple times to call to set up a date/time for the service and received no response. I eventually asked for my money back and purchased a different handyman service.

I did not get the name of the person that came to my home, but he was extremely proficient. I am going to call this company, and have them look up his name so that I can request him for future service.

Excellant, professional and organized man who was willing to do what needed to be done and truly seemed to care about the outcome of the project. I would definitely hire them again.

Unfortunately he did not know how to use the "Command" picture hangers I bought so the wall pictures didn't get hung. There was not enough time to install the light over the pool table. However, he was able to complete mounting the TV in the sitting area of the MBR which was a major accomplishment. He had to make some adjustment because of how far apart the joists were. He did great! I plan to hire again.
