Direct Carpet & Floors LLC

I purchased wall to wall carpet with free installation from Floors Direct and the salesman/owner Tim required payment up front. I paid $627 (payment in full) on 10/6 and was promised a 3 week turn-a-around. This price was much lower than their competitors, so I accepted the payment in full after questioning this policy and be assured that everything would be fine. After 4 weeks, I contacted Tim and he kept giving me the run-a-around on an install date. Finally, he called me after sending me several text messages where he indicated the carpet arrived but was damaged and that they could not do the job. When he called, he said he had to pay more for the carpet than he charged me initially, he was losing money on the job, and that he would just give me a refund - or I could wait and he would have the manufacturer send new carpet. At this point, I did not want to deal with this company and accepted the offer for a refund. He said he would have to wait to get the refund from the manufacturer before sending it to me and that it would take 2 weeks. It has now been 4 weeks. I told him I would report him to the BBB and consult with my attorney if I did not receive my refund by Dec. 5th. He then threatened to sue me! He told me that it is not his fault the carpet was damaged. I PAID THIS COMPANY FOR GOODS AND SERVICES AND HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING TO DATE. It has been over 3 months since I was initially promised a refund and have repeatedly been told that it is being or has been mailed. The owner is a crook. Stay far, far away from this company. He likes doing business by text and I have all his promises of a refund in writing and am happy to share with anyone who is interested.

we ordered new carpet from his store before we move in our new bought house and rental house. we had agreed that he will installed carpet for our houses after two weeks. But we forget to make sure the installation date on the contract. So he delay the installation again and agin. Till now, he didn't install our carpet. We are searching lawyer to sue him right now.
