Description of Work: Action responded promptly to my service call to troubleshoot a failed gas furnace that was under warranty. The technician was professional and knowledgeable. However, after identifying the fault as a defective inducer blower assembly, they quoted a $165 "processing fee" to return the defective component, plus $330 labor to install a new part. They refused to provide me the part without the labor, even though they acknowledged the part was covered under warranty. In the end I ordered an identical part from another supplier and installed it in less than half an hour even though Action quoted 2 hours for installation. Action's processing fee was 50% more than the cost for a brand new identical part from another supplier. All the personnel I interacted with at Action were pleasant and professional but the policies and cost significantly lower d their value.

Description of Work: We had a service contract with this company for about 11 years. It included checks of two A/C and two furnaces twice a year. There was a small discount for parts. Throughout the years, I felt that the servicemen continually tried to upgrade my system or sell me a programmable thermostat or some such when these things weren't really necessary. The sell was not terribly hard, however. The work they did perform seemed to be adequate. If we had an issue, such as an A/C that malfunctioned, they put us at the top of the list because of the service contract.

Description of Work: I used the services of A Action Heating & Air couple of years ago for installing an air conditioning unit and a furnace.

Description of Work: In 2007 this company repaired a gas fireplace valve for a client (I am a realtor and often set up repair appointments). (That job in 2007 did go well.) Today, when I called and asked if they still did gas fireplace work I was told that they did not and they could not recommend anyone. Gee. I did not ask for a recommendation but I was not thrilled by the assertion that "they could not recommend anyone". Why volunteer to be so unhelpful?

Description of Work: They come twice a year for check-ups on our heating and air conditioning units. They just clean them and make sure everything is okay. We have a 2200 square foot home and pay a yearly fee for the service.
