I barely escaped from being robbed $1500 by Mr. Super Plumber. I had a home warranty and they sent Mr. Super Plumber to my home. Found out the work would be covered through the warranty, great. While he was there, he offered to do some additonal work (outside of the work covered by the warranty) to replace the furnace so I would have a completely new system. But it was not great. I wrestled with the home warranty company over four months to get this guy (Clement Akoto AKA Mr. Super Plumber) to do the work he promised to do (I had a signed contract stating everything). He never did come back to finish the work. I finally got the home warranty company to take the loss when I told them to send me a copy of this guy's MHIC license, which is required by Maryland state law for all home contractors. Towards the end of this miserable experience the guy was getting extremely hostile to me when I kept refusing to let him get away with stealing my money and I kept asking for his license # and he couldn't give me that simple piece of information. This guy seemed like a really sincere and kind guy up front, but he turned out to be a total scam artist. He should be in jail. The home warranty company (HMS) was equally responsible for sending an unlicensed contractor to my home to do the work. I think some of the home warranty companys do this routinely so beware.

The gentleman was late for the appointed time, but he called to say he was late, twice. when he finally showed up, it was to late to really do any work except the inspection of plumbing issues. SO we made a list of what needed to be done and set up an appointment for a few days later. The service day came, and I got two more calls, saying that he was going to be delayed. So he showed up about 3-4 hours late for the second time. When he finally got here, he arrived with an assistant who did most of the work, while the main guy sat in my kitchen on his computer answering calls. I felt that if he worked on the jobs it would have been a much quicker visit, and everything he came over to do would have gotten done. But as it was, he only did one or two of the 5-6 jobs we had talked about doing. Because he was late and the assistant couldn't put a powder room faucet in, with out calling the main guy away from his computer to tell him how to do it. He didn't bring the supplies(Simple gaskets or washers) to do the other jobs, that we talked about him doing, and his time was gone as he came so late anyway. I will never called him back, to finish the other jobs, and I wouldn't call him again.
Description of Work: Inspected plumbing as per home maintenance contract, and was requested to to a handful of other plumbing jobs. The only job done was a faucet installation, and clearing a clogged sink line.

Spoke to him on a Sunday. He had me call his cell, then text all my information to his cell phone which I thought was odd. He told me that he would come by Monday not later than Tuesday morning. I didn't hear from him so I sent him a text Tuesday morning. He called and asked me to call some lady and let her know that he was going to swing by after he finished a job and got off the Beltway. I did and gave her all of my information as well. No show and no call. I sent him another text after midnight letting him know how I felt and he sent a test back stating that he was in a flooded basement for 3 hours. I was so annoyed that I contacted the insurance company and asked them to refer someone else. The new company came out as promised and fixed the problem.
Description of Work: He didn't show up - sat home for 2 days no show/no call.

Description of Work: He was scheduled to come on a Saturday bet 10-1. Never showed. I called and left a msg. Received a call back two hours later saying a job took longer and he forgot to call. Rescheduled for Monday and he said he would try to come as early in the day as possible. Never showed again even after I called and was told he would be here by 5:00. Mr. Super Plumber is not.

came to give estimate was very late, but called to say he was late, then called again to say he would be even later. He did this on the estimate day as well as the service date a week later. There were many things I needed done and he indicated that it all would be no problem. and gave estimates. When he came back to do the work. He sat on his computer the whole time while his employee did only two of the 5-6 jobs I requested. I had a time deadline for an appointment I had to go to, and with him being very late as well as his partner doing the work instead of him, I couldn't get done what I needed to get done. Unfortunately I would have happily paid to get everything done, but with only an apprentice doing the work-in slow motion instead of the super Mr. plumber doing the work. Not much was done. And it's still not done, but I won't bring him back.

Water Heater left us last Thursday. Dealing with Clarence who offered to have an early lunch where he was so I could make it home. Was pleasant and professional and even offered up solutions that saved me money. Because of the Holiday weekend we were unable to get the water heater until Monday and he was here first thing. Will defiantly be my go to guy from here on in.

He was very professional, very polite and kept his mess to a minimum. He was also friendly, and before he came he called giving me updates on how soon he would arrive. I used him on two seperate occassions, so I was satisfied with his work the first time and gave him another call to come out again. He also has great customer service in terms of returning phone calls and follow up! His prices were also fair in terms of price comparison.
Description of Work: He unclogged my drain which turned out to be my plumbing system and he replaced three leaky faucets.
