I had to hold the guys to the all of the stipulations of the contract, they tried to cut corners and I had to call out the account manager to demand it be corrected.

It was overall a very good experience. Only minimal oversight on my part was needed. Annual inspections ended after 3 years; hence no further contact.

I want to commend them for coming out annually and checking it. They are really great. They are fantastic. They have done brick repair and gutter replacement.

Excellent- I have finally found my roofer of choice! Maggio was very communicative and sought my opinion at all stages. The work was of exceptional quality, far superior to other roofers that I have used.

I loved everything about them. They were knowledgeable, they were timely, and when I complained about an issue that I had after they had completed the work, they came out. The issue that I had complained about was nothing to do with them, but they still didn't charge me, although they should have. My roof issue was fully repaired. My interaction with them was good, and the work turned out well.

The pricing is high but the quality of service is worth it. They are super responsive to email. They are punctual and professional. I have contacted them about leaks in the past and they have come out as soon as possible to repair them. They are really good with older homes and take their time to diagnose an issue. They are proactive and try to help me keep the roof for as long as possible before I need a new one. The staff is very nice and provide plenty of options for each project. They will give you different scenarios to repair an issue to see which you prefer. I like that they give me the opportunity to make the decision.

They came and gave an estimate and explained exactly what they would do. While the estimate was higher than other estimates received, I went with Maggio's because the representative grasped the problem and was recommending a permanent fix. We were traveling when the work was performed, and the representative sent me photos and emails at the start, middle and end of the job. The roof has been tested during torrential rain storms, and everything is completely dry. I will use Maggio's for all roofing needs and highly recommend them.

Estimate went fine. Very friendly and knowledgeable sales person. If I had unlimited funds, we might have gone with them.

Thought the prices were very high. He also showed up early, which on a weekend morning was not very welcome.

I would tell people that it works. They cleaned up, and they did everything they were supposed to do. They are in high demand, and so it may take a little while to get them. Their price is a little on the high end.

I had relatively good results with them. They were competitively priced and they did a perfectly fine job.

The roof repair was more involved than the initial assessment due to damage and poor craftsmanship that was found when the old roof was removed. Before proceeding with the additional work, they contacted me and made sure to physically show me what they found, after which they explained what had to be done to fix the problem. The additional work added a substantial amount to what was initially a low-cost repair, however, the quality of the work was well done and the job was performed quickly. Included in the work was a new roof for the addition with insulation board underneath, a new hatch cover, new flashing, and repairs to the trailing edge of the existing main roof. Despite several impressive storms since the work was done, there have been no issues or water problems with the work that was completed.

The entire process took no more than two working days. We have noticed an immediately improvement in both heating and cooling from the roof insulation. The roof is light beige in color and reflects more heat away from the house than the old roof. Installers were prompt and professional. They did better than the Angie's discount. They were about upper mid range of the estimates, but I am very pleased with the roof. Maggio is one of the few roofers that both installs roof and roof top solar. While I did not have the money to do solar then, I am now more interested, but not eager to have any penetrations of the roof which would nullify the warranty for sure. Unfortunately, Maggio has been less responsive to my questions about how they might work with a solar contractor to preserve the warranty on my roof.

Because of the strongarm tactics of original salesman, asked for another employee to followup. Same salesman kept calling. Decided not to use company, found another roofer who gave detailed contract, prompt start date and great work ethnic.

They did a very slick sales pitch. They gave me an excellent booklet that was an assessment of my roof, which was very useful for me. They did a great comprehensive analysis of what was there for the exact same job, even the exact same materials. It was $10,000 more, they quoted me $25,000. All of my other contractors told me it was highway robbery. Their presentation was excellent, but their pricing was just ridiculous. It was very much about making a sale, almost too slick and salesman like. I felt like I was buying a used car. They were good about getting back to me, but they were very aggressive in some ways. There was something weird about them in some ways. It seems like their products are good but they sales pitch was too slick and their pricing is way out of line.

It was a difficult process. Maggio was one of several roofing companies asked to bid on my roof/retaining wall interface on an old two story house. They were one of two recommended by the brick repair company. The brick company was to repoint the wall, the roofing company was to work on the roof/wall interface. The process began in summer 2013. Their proposal process was poor. Their salesman offered several options - only one of which was directed at the specific issue. They stated their hydro seal process along the roof and partly up the wall would be sufficient to solve the problem. After I accepted their bid and sent in a deposit I received an email stating that their engineers reviewed the proposal and that they now recommended adding a reglet style counter flashing along the wall over the hydro seal at additional cost. Other companies had recommended the reglet counterflashing but I bit on Maggio's hydro seal proposal. After the email I felt that their sales man/proposal expert led me on and I was in a bait and switch deal. Since I had committed to a schedule with the brick repointing company and running out of time to reopen the search for a new roofer I stayed with Maggio. I am not sure if their sales guy was devious or just not a good roofing engineer but their initial proposal according to their own follow up email was not sound. Communicating with them was difficult. At the beginning of the job they were supposed to have coordinate/ discuss with the brick repair company on how the interface between the repointing and the hydro seal and reglet counter flashing would be done. Days before the brick company began work I communicated with Maggio to have someone on site to coordinate. The day wall work began I had to make several additional calls to get a Maggio rep at the house. Their guy showed up but did not go on the roof to review/coordinate. It was not a good start from Maggio. Their workers were fine. After the wall was repointed, they showed up on time and applied the hydro seal and counter flashing. I had to rely on pictures to review the work. At my age I hate to climb a two story ladder. This spring a leak reoccurred along the wall roof interface. Since I was not sure where the leak was originating I called both the brick company and Maggio back to review the situation. The brick company responded and sent a crew out to repoint additional bricks. The Maggio rep showed but did not even go on the roof to investigate. It was a waste of mine and their time. It certainly was not a customer friendly action. I had to call them back to get another rep on the roof. The source of the new leak was never determined but it seems to be fixed. The Maggio rep was defensive about their work and I know it is difficult to ascertain the exact source of the leak along the wall and roof interface but the response between the brick repair company and Maggio was stark.

I knew what I was getting and what the cost was in advance of the job. The guys tore off my roof, very quickly, made all of the necessary improvements, to the existing wood/replacements etc. and installed the metal roof w/ a skylight and an exit hatch. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed!

Some work had to be redone, but in the end we were satisfied.

I had had my porch roof done by another contractor a couple of years ago and that person used improper materials, resulting in premature failure. Maggio removed the existing mess and replaced it with proper materials. A yearprior they also did the main roof on my rowhouse. They are not inexpensive, but they are on-time and professional and they do good-quality work.

The owner came quickly to review problems and provide solution and proposals; they came and fixed problems promptly and provided photos and information regarding the work. As best I can determine, the pricing was fair for excellent and professional work, including sophisticated solutions that others missed.

This is the third time I've used Maggio and I would highly recommend them if you want quality work. They don't cut corners, they don't skip steps, and they stay until the customer is satisfied. That means you get the best quality roof that money can buy, and now I can sleep soundly knowing my roof won't leak. The downside is that they aren't the cheapest provider in town. Expect their prices to be higher than the competition, but you get what you pay for with these guys.

I had a great experience in 2008. They were expensive but they did good work and good customer service. I worked with Mike Brady and he left Maggio Roofing. Fast forward to 2013, they were very rude and unhelpful. I wanted to use then again for a new roof on a new house. They set up a a time for an estimate and less than 24 hours to the appointment they told me they double booked. Then they also said it would be $450 to do the estimate for a home before the closing on the house. I had already told them that I had permission to get estimates from the sellers. All info that could have been shared earlier. When I called back to reschedule, Jerry was short with me and defensive. Trust me I wanted to give them my business.

We called Maggio to fix several roof leaks, only because they worked on our roof several years ago and my husband wanted to use them again because he thought they understood Capitol Hill rowhouses. I will not discuss their previous work because I feel it is unfair in the context of Angies List, as the work was done before AL existed. We called and arranged for an estimate to fix the several leaks (we have a metal roof, tin I believe) . I think the estimator's name was Steven, but I could be wrong. He took a cursory look at the roof and announced that we needed a new roof. I told him that we just wanted to fix what was wrong with the roof right now, and will consider a replacement in the future. He promised an estimate via email. We would have hired them had they sent an estimate. I asked him to provide an estimate both for the repair part and the estimate for a new roof. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN, even after I called the main number to request one. Frankly, I don't mind the oversell, it is their job to do so and it is my job to be informed. But declaring that we need a new roof without presenting any evidence was a bit much. Are they a victim of their own success and cannot keep up with the orders? I really don't care, I just know I will never use them again. We hired another contractor (review to be provided once the work is completed). The estimator told us that the roof could last for a few more years, took pictures on the roof and explained to us where the problem was.

Everything went well, and they were professional. However, we chose not to go with them because their price was too high.

The company representatives were prompt, communicative, and professional. During the project, they kept in daily contact to discuss the progress and any additional changes in the work order. They documented all areas of rotted wood decking and sought approval before commencing any work that went beyond the initial estimate. The cost of services was high due to the quality of the roofing system relative to other options; however, the company does an excellent job and is very responsive to any issues that our condo association had.
