Dr Glass Window Washing

I used the Dr. Glass Window Washing Groupon that I purchased (50$ for 100$ of Window Washing). I had an extremely positive experience. The DC company owner returned my call promptly and set up a time to do my windows. I happened to be out at the time, and they arranged to do all of my outside windows - even the tricky ones on the 3rd floor. The windows look great and I was impressed that they also brushed my screens for free. Wonderful value for money - even at full price. The only complaint I have is that I didn't tell them to avoid putting the ladders in a certain area of the garden, so my fall seedlings got a little trampled, but that one is one me, not them!

Dr. Glass responded promptly to my initial phone call, quickly gave an estimate of cost and time to complete, and set up the service appointment. The two-man crew arrived on time and finished within the time estimated. They did an excellent job, and the final cost was within a couple of dollars of the estimate.

The guy who did the cleaning was very professional and did a great job, even though I had mis-counted the number of windows and it took him over an hour longer than planned. The windows look great! I will definitely use Dr. Glass in Silver Spring again!

This experience was great! I bought the Angie's Big Deal Window Washing coupon and Luis and crew arrived punctually. I hadn't had my windows cleaned for some years, and indeed, one set of three in front hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. A previous cleaner said they were too difficult to reach or do, and I assumed they were. Luis looked at the obstacles, said they wouldn't be a problem. I suggested a couple other windows be skipped as I have decorative stained glass hung in front. Luis urged me to let him include them and promised he'd be very careful. They cleaned the windows inside and out, and I was totally amazed at the end result. My windows haven't looked like this in years -- sparkling and streak free, and the view afforded with all the fall leaves outside is stunning. I cannot too greatly extoll the effort, care, and professionalism Luis expended. Earlier, I had purchased an Angie's Big Deal for yard work from another company and felt the company gave me what I considered barely the bargain price value. I was disappointed, so this Dr. Glass experience completely restored my faith in the Big Deal. I will certainly hire Dr. Glass again, I cannot recommend this company too highly.

This was actually the second time I had used this firm. They cleaned my windows last year about this time, and when they finished, the team leader pulled me aside to say that it had been several years since all my window had been washed. (He was correct.) Some had become stained with substances that were very difficult to remove completely. He strongly recommended that I have them cleaned again in a year, and suggested that I leave screens off until needed in the summer. So I followed his advice and phoned again around the anniversary of that first service. A team of two young men appeared promptly and completed in about 90 minutes what would have taken me all day. They were clean and efficient, polite and thorough, and this time, all the windows were as clean as a whistle. I really appreciated that frank advice last year. I could see what he was talking about--it never occurred to me that this was an excuse for poor work. This year's effort brought home the importance of regular cleaning even for windows that don't attract a lot of fingerprints or distinct dust and haze.

There's a reason why Dr. Glass is so consistently highly rated. The company is easy to work with, clear in its communications and does excellent work. I called to make an appointment and got something on the schedule for the next week. We had to reschedule the appointment a few times because of a series of rainy days, but each time the rep was responsive and friendly. The technician who came to the house was professional, pleasant and hardworking. He was very precise and thorough and took time to make sure I understood all charges in advance. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I needed my windows cleaned before putting the house on the market for sale. I called Dr. Glass and arranged for a time and date. The cleaner arrived at my house on time and was very accomodating. The job was completed within two hours.

My windows looked amazing. I had no idea professional window cleaning could make that much of a difference. This was well worth the money. I tried Dr. Glass through a Groupon but I would be willing to use again.

Owner very responsive to scheduling. 3 workers came and did excellent job in 5 hours. Windows looked great and realtor coming with client commented on the work and asked for the company's name.

Luis and his crew were wonderful, everyone was professional and curteous. They took off their shoes in the house and pointed out areas of our screens that we need to repair. If the curtains were in the way they took them down and put them back into place. They have a keen eye for detail, and went beyond the scope of work and even did our sliding glass door (free). They are great to work with and I will use them again, our windows look great!

I left a voice message requesting a call-back on Friday and again on Saturday. Monday, I received a call back and the delay was explained as 'email problems on which they were working hard to catch-up. That was the ONLY delay. A follow-up email was sent with the estimate. I suggested a date that would work for me to have the windows cleaned. The appointment was scheduled and confirmed via email. On the day of the appointment, I sent an email indicating I would be on a scheduled call at the appointment time so please don't worry if I'm unable to answer the door the moment they arrive. About an hour ahead of the appointment time, Lewis phoned to say they could come early if that would be convenient. It was and shortly thereafter they arrived. Lewis was courteous, professional and did exactly what he said he would within the time he indicated. During the washing, he pointed out that he could repair/replace my damaged screens for a very reasonable fee. The additional work was completed promptly and the end result - VERY clean windows and new screens where needed - far exceeded my expectations. No mess inside our outside the house where they worked. Fabulous service!

The communication was good in scheduling the service and later verifying my appointment. The team arrived on time and took care not to track dirt in the house through the whole job. First thing was to remove all the screens and one person setup a table in the driveway to clean the screens. Next, they began cleaning all the inside window panes and the outside window panes that tilted in as well as the window casings and window sills. Last, they cleaned the outside panes and casings and put back the screens. After everything was done, they did a quick walk-through check and asked me to do the same. One window casing was missed but the team leader quickly fixed the problem. Tips went to all of them because the windows were dirtier than average (I asked them if that was the case). Highly recommended. It was a great job and experience. The windows are now as clean as when the house finished construction three years prior. Now that the dust on the windows is gone, it seems a bit dimmer when looking outside because there is no hazy glare from the windows. Definitely a good thing. I might be able to spot clean the windows now and then because there are no more empty dirt lots near my home. But if need-be, I'll be glad to call them to come out again. It has rained a few times since they have cleaned the windows but the rainwater dries fairly well and leaves little residue. After a month, I can see a few tiny spots on the outside panes but nothing as bad as it was before. Another plus was they discovered one window had a leak with condensation haze between the panes - because the "dirt" didn't come off. Because of them I can get that window replaced under warranty now that I know it wasn't just dirty but had a leak..

Dr. Glass Window Washing is apparently a franchised operation that's been spinning micro-businesses off since the early 1980s. Our experience yesterday is evidence that the model really works. I just can't say enough about the quality of the work Luis Cardy and his team performed at our home yesterday. They were exactly on time, did a quick survey of the house, and then just went to work. I asked if they could do the windows in my home office first so that I could work uninterruptedly while they worked elsewhere in the house. No problem! We have quite a few older windows with storms and screens, and then some newer Anderson windows with a glass panel that has to be removed by loosening screws (wish we'd opted for ordinary double-glazing!). Luis and his crew had no problem with any of the windows. They cleaned all the windows spotlessly -- even some really dirty, below-ground casements in basement window wells. The cleaned all the sills and even washed the screens. They couldn't have been more pleasant or efficient. A crew of 3 people worked from 8:30 am to 5 pm without wasting a minute, and the results are amazing. Who knew how much pleasure clean windows would bring? I would recommend Luis without reservation, and plan to have him return regularly.

They did a great job. They worked with my schedule and arrived promptly. The workers were very professional and courteous. It was definitely worth the money. The windows look beautiful.

We were very very pleased. First of all, the workers came on time. Second, when they came into our house, it was in chaos with out of town guests leaving and much going on. They were very friendly and professional and we felt very comfortable. Third, despite our family policy to not wear shoes in the house, this was the first time a contractor had ever initiated covering their feet when doing work. When they put on foot coverings, we were blown really impressed. Then most importantly the windows were perfect. They removed each screen carefully, cleaned it, replaced it, and cleaned the windows so well that we felt like we were living outside. All in all a great job and great company.

Excellent. Contacted company and Wayne responded promptly to schedule. The crew was to arrive between 2 and 3pm today, but Luis called before 11am to see if they could come early, which was no problem since I was working from home. Luis and 2 coworkers worked quickly, thoroughly and efficiently to clean all of the windows, screens, and doors. They were finished in less than 2 hours. I walked through the house to check their work and everything was perfect. This is the second time we have used Dr. Glass and it won't be the last - you just can't do any better for window cleaning!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We live in a 60's ranch house, with windows galore. As part of our spring (finally) cleaning, it was time to give our windows a thorough cleaning. Luis and his assistants came on-time and immediately went to work. They cleaned the windows, inside and out, as well as the screens. I appreciated their consideration of our belongings and their attention to detail. They did an excellent job. We will defintely recommend them and intend to have them back on an annual basis.

I spent $200 on that work. The job went great. They were on time and did what they said they were going to do at the price they had quoted.

Great, just great, a team of four arrived about 2:15 and were finished at about 6:15. Well worth the reschedules due to snow. Will bring them back next year!

Lusi and Audrey arrived precisely on time and did a wonderful job. They were very careful with my furnishings, partic ularly the floor to ceiling drapes. They moved furniture and were careful to move it back to the exact spot where it had been. Most importantly, the windows sparkle!

Bill arrived exactly on time at our house, provided stellar service, accommodated my special requests, and respectfully took off his shoes inside our house. He worked solo for about 4 hours, and left us with sparkling clean windows that I can't stop looking out of. He was friendly and professional. I wish all companies were as amazing to deal with as Bill at Dr. Glass, and we will definitely be adding this to our list of things to do every 1-2 years.

Absolutely outstanding. If you allowed AAAs, that's what I'd give them. They are thorough and perfectionists. Each window was done with special care and professional attention inside and out, with careful cleanup and professionalism throughout. They showed up precisely on time and took lots of extra steps I had not expected, including washing the long-neglected garage window. My whole house is sparkling.
