Description of Work: They conducted a roof inspection. Secured loose shingles & replaced some missing or damaged shingles. Also, replaced the pipe collar. Very professional & didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. Will definitely use again.

Description of Work: Couldn't make it on the first day they were scheduled to come. Only brought materials. |Arrived 4 hours late due to a flat tire.(not their fault, I realize) |Were still working after 9 p.m. that night, so clean up of the yard was not very thorough. Raking trim on gable looked just as bad as it did before... although after many rounds (and days/weeks) of phone tag, they still insisted it was done perfectly. Finally a visit from the quality control inspector confirmed that it did, in fact, look "pretty bad." as of this date, I am still waiting for them to come and re-do the trim.

Description of Work: S&K installed a new roof, replaced three roof windows, and installed a new, braced gutter system. Roof is a 50-year composite roofing material made to look like wood shakes. S&K did a great job installing the shakes, the roof looks incredible, and the S&K gutter specialists devised a unique wood bracing system to strengthen the gutters in case of snow buildup on the roof. The crews were very pleasant, worked hard, took pride in their work, and cleaned up the work areas, leaving everything in pristine condition. This was the second time we used S&K, the first time being when we built the house 25 years ago. We would use them again, but we'll never need a new roof.

Description of Work: We originally called S&K abou a small job -- re-roofing a gazebo. They came out to quote it . . . the quote was high, and they admitted they were best suited for larger jobs. Very pleasant, very professional. When it was time to re-roof the house, we called several contractors for quotes, including S&K. We selected S&K based on professionalism, responsiveness and price. We were very satisfied with the job that they performed.

Description of Work: Not sure how to review S&K. Had a mixed experience. We had a leaky roof after Sandy. They came out the next day and estimator was excellent. Waited a few weeks to get work done which was understandable after the storm. Poor communication from scheduling office and I ended up waiting all day for workers to come and they got there 40 mins before dark and could not complete all work as I was told they would. Came back another day. I had to follow up 3 times to get item takeN off bill that wasnt done. Office kept following up to ask about if we were satisfied but didn't seem to care at all to apologize when I expressed concerns about communication and billing. I don't have complaints about work done but do not think I would use again given there insincere customer service and poor communication.
