They were recommended by friends. They did a good job and they were professional. I was happy with their work.

The roof was installed by a group of men who were VERY experienced - in one day. The gutters were installed a short time later. It has been three years and all is still beautiful and in very good condition. I will definitely go with this company in the future and recommend it to others.

They are pretty good at what they do. My first concern with them is that they do a slate roof and a lot of companies don't. They come out and check to make sure they did the job they way you wanted them to.

I did not personally meet with them because my wife took care of the appointment but they were prompt and professional. I don?t think anything set them apart from the other company I got an estimate from except that the price was lower.

Spent time looking at other roofing companies and made my decision based on price and references. S&K actually provided a multiple pages of work they have performed in the surrounding zip codes were we live. This was the first time I had a contractor provide this information without having to ask. When the work was performed the installers showed up on time and the job was completed the same day. There were a few questions after the install and they were answered in a speedy time frame.

It went great. Micky came the day after I first called to do a cost estimate. He explained everything he was looking at, and why he was recommending the work in his estimate. He was detailed, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. The cost estimate was lower than two others we obtained. They came when they said they would, finished the work on time, and cleaned up after themselves. The workers were professional and responsible. This is the company I will call for future roofing work.

The wrong skylights were replaced. Some leaks in the roof were indirectly attributable to repairs that were done by this company in previous years.

It was a great experience. The workmanship was professional and the workers were very knowledgeable and willing to explain what they were doing. The gutters were custom made on-sight, and the process still took only a matter of hours. We highly recommend S&K to anyone needing roof repair or gutter work.

The work was done in three separate stages. First the roof was replaced, then the gutter and finally the screening and steps were done. Each job only took one day to accomplish. The workers arrived on-time and there were plenty of them to get the job done. Each crew cleaned up afterwards very well. They also took the time to explain what they had used and how each job was done. This was especially appreciated for the gutter replacement as they explained how it could be removed if and when we have the slate roof fixed.

The roof was damaged in the snow storm and our homeowners ins took care of it. They are an excellent company. They cleaned out all the mess that was on the floor. They were polite and they started the work as soon as they got here. They are an incredible company. I think that the price was fair. There were a bunch of them who came out to get the work done on time. I would definitely use their services in the future, too.

On time and finished in two days. The crew was careful to protect all the landscaping on my property as well as the adjacent townhomes. Cleaned up very well. I did find a few roofing nails in the yard not nearly as much as the last time I had a roof done. The estimator and all the contact personel were very helpful and treated my many questions with respect. I was able to discuss options on attic ventilation in detail and was referred to other websites to get the information I needed to make a good decision. I will definitely hire this company again. I will be replacing some of my windows and insulating the attic in the year to come.

They removed the shingles, damaged plywood underneath and matched the shingles perfectly with what we had. It was perfect. They had to take off some siding in order to put the flashing up which they did an excellent job because we were worried because maybe it would be damaged, but the took it off and reinstalled it. We used them before for new gutters and other things, so we knew about them to begin with, but I also looked them up on the list which had a good report on them. They did excellent work and are really a good team of workers. We paid $1480 for that work. We worked with Nicky before, so as soon as we called they came out.

I would use S&K again and have recommended them to others.

Went very well. They were punctual and did very good work. The windows and door seem to be very well made. The estimate was exceeded because of quite a bit of rotten wood that could not be seen until the trim was pulled off but the extra cost I thought was reasonable for the work and materials needed.

They are very good. I have never had any problems with any of their work. If there is any minor thing, they respond immediately.

Fast response to estimate request. Professional and clear estimate. Gutters were installed quickly with great quality of work. The only negative was that the servicemen installing the gutters were over 1.5 hours late and did not call to notify me. They were stuck in traffic but a phone call and simple apology would have been considerate. Employees in the office did apologize for them. Overall every employee we dealt with either in person or on the phone was pleasant and helpful. S&K did a great job!

Good experience. Everyone friendly, responsive and professional. Only hiccup was that the roofer was scheduled to be there between 8:00 - 9:00 AM, and didn't arrive until 10:30 AM. A couple of wrong turns, or something. But work was done to our satisfaction.

Late one Friday night I heard water pouring into our family room as if someone had left the faucet running. Only problem is that we don't have a faucet in our family room! When I investigated, I found water cascading down the outer wall where the family room meets the porch. When I pulled up our fabric blinds, water squished out of them like wrung-out sponges. I immediately began calling roofing companies but got no response at 11pm on a Friday night. At 7:30 the next morning a roofer named Shawn called asking if it was too early. He was on the job within an hour and stayed to help with a downspout that had been blown-off on another part of the house. Our fingers are crossed and so far we've had no more leaks.

We had a stupendous rain storm, and some of the shingles blew off the roof. They were out the day after I called them and took care of it immediately. I was very pleased with that. They were very professional and they brought a large crew that got it done quickly.

After receiving three estimates, I decided on S&K because they seemed to be the most professional of the three. We went around and around (it was my doing) over the contract and I finally signed it. My contract worries were unfounded. This is a very big company and the owner himself was on site almost every day. The quality was very good and the follow up and problem resolution was refreshing to put it mildly. These people are top notch. The salesman, Eric, is so much more than a salesman with great follow through and Felipe, the job foreman, never left the job any day without making sure I was satisfied. Also, you should know that the owner of the company (I didn't know he was the owner at the time) came out a day before starting work to explain the work process, the staging area and its impact on my driveway and garden, and to check to see if everything had been ordered correctly. What more could I ask? Thank you S&K.

We contacted this company after noticing evidence of a roof leak in an upstairs bedroom. The existing roof had been in place since about 1990, so we were not surprised when both this company and another recommended replacing the entire roof instead of attempting to patch the old one. The S & K sales rep arrived on time, gave us a detailed written proposal and generally answered our questions about types of roofing and the replacement process. The proposals by the two companies were similar in cost, so we selected S & K because of their length of time in business and their many good reports on Angie's List. The work was scheduled only two days after we signed the contract and was completed in a single day. The roofing crew arrived exactly when promised, did the work and cleaned up well afterwards. The only damage I noted was one minor dent in a rainspout. When I pointed that out to the crew chief it was repaired to my satisfaction before they left.

They showed up on time. They worked consistently, even on weekends. When they missed something they came back and fixed it right away. They did a great job and were very reasonable priced.

They are excellent. They are very professional and get their work done very quickly. They do clean up after themselves. I absolutely love my windows. They are also reasonably priced. I have also recommended them to work on some of my friends' roofs.

Great company. They replaced the siding on my dormer 3 years ago and after some digging and a few false starts, they located a leak on the right side at that time. Recently, we discovered a leak on the left side of the dormer. The company was quick to respond. When the first person to the home could not identify the leak, he quickly sent another repair/quality assurance person to the house within 36 hours. This second person located and fixed the leak on a very windy afternoon when two other roofers told me they would not be working because of the weather. On top of that, I was informed there would be no charge because he couldn't be sure that S & K hadn't contributed to the problem 3 years earlier... We have had some light rain since the repair, and so far everything seems fine. On top of that, the 2 individuals who came out, Eric (I believe) and Sean Toms, could not have been nicer or more professional.

The window project was pretty good! The guys who did the windows were very accommodating. The guy who installed the windows did great, and the only mistake was on the only uncommon window, so we had to wait while they remade the window, but it looks great now.
