Our metal roof on our 1970s barn was leaking. S&K reattached the metal roof with screws (to replace the nails) and also fixed two leaks. The estimator who priced this job got on our barn roof and he felt that the eaks throughout the building were being caused because the metal roof was attached to the building with nails instead of screws. Nails pull up over time with wind, causing leaks. He suggested that we could fix the problem if we installed screws instead. He did say though that there was a chance this approach wouldn't work, but this approach was considerably less expensive than installing a whole new metal roof. There were also two small tears (about the size of fist) that needed to be repaired. The crew that came to the property were respectful. I also found the company to be very easy to deal with in terms of scheduling the job. However, now that the job is done, the disappointing part is that we still have leaks throughout the building. The repair did not work. I called the estimator back to take a look and he said he would come out, but its been a few weeks and he hasn't called me back to schedule a follow up visit. I understand that we took a risk on this approach, so I can't necessarily give S&K a poor review there, but I'm not pleased with the lack of follow up now that it is clear that we still have lots of leaks.

Great job overall. There were some communication concerns during the project that seemed like lack of coordination but it all worked out in the end.

You can give S & K Roofing Siding & Windows Inc. tops on everything. They were very good. They were very professional. They sent someone over to look at the job and he knew what he was doing. He took the time to really sit down and discuss it with us. The workmen arrived on time and did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves.

I Have used S & K for roof, siding, gutters insulation and the latest my front door. I would recommend this company to anyone. The are all wonderful!! they know what they are talking about and also will help or recommend advice. What a great company!! You can not go wrong with them. The $7700.00 is for only my door.

Our roof was 20 years old and although it wasn't leaking, it was stained badly and we knew it would need replacing soon. Several neighbors used S & K successfully so we had them out for an estimate. Through the whole process they were professional and responsive. The job was done in a single day and clean up was very thorough.

S&K were good and I would have them back again. One thing in particular about them was that the windows needed to be adjusted for a while and they kept coming back until the windows were adjusted correctly. The people who came out were good and respectful as well. I would use them again.

They were very responsive. Mark was great about going over the roof and trying to find the opening the birds were using. The workmen were very diligent and thoughtful about what could be done and what couldn't and in recommending caulking, which I wouldn't have paid any attention to on my own.

The workers arrived near sunset and worked after it became dark. They worked for about an hour and said it was only temporary. During subsequent rainstorms the leaks were worse than ever. When contacted, the representative was indifferent, unresponsive, and was only argumentative. We had another professional roofer inspect the roof who said the work was a very unprofessional patch job. Hardly worth $750.

The quote was done very well. They were professional and came on time. They gave us exactly what we wanted.

Estimator came out and submitted estimate via email as requested. Estimate included a phone number and name for any questions - I called and Eric patiently answered ALL my questions in a way that I could understand my choices. We made our decision and gave our deposit and within a day or two were given a date for installation. Mother Nature had other plans and the scheduling office bent over backwards to work with us. They took exactly the amount of time we were told and the new roof looks great. They did an on-site follow up to make sure everything was "just so" - as well as a call to us afterwards. We are pleased with our new Architectural roof and would recommend S&K Roofing.

Excellent and very professional service. We needed some roofing and gutter repairs to be completed for a quick sales settlement on our home. S&K was very quick to come out for an estimate. Pricing was reasonable and the work was completed within a few days, well within our requested time frame. Worker completing the repairs was very professional and very thorough.

We initially talked to Shane, who came out and took a good amount of time with us discussing the options of the different shingles as well as describing how the company works (the importance they place on the right people and customer service). He was kind enough to return with samples for us to review, and once we decided, we scheduled the replacement of the roof first, then the replacement of the gutters, second. S&K called to check on us after each service to see if everything was okay, and if they forgot something (in one case, it got dark before they could finish using a metal detector to check for nails), they turned around and remedied the situation within a day or two. Overall, S&K was highly professional, courteous, friendly, unbelievably responsive, and constantly went above and beyond what they promised. The workers were great - thoughtful, kind and very thorough while being efficient. The roof looks fantastic - better than the original - and we feel confident that the quality will hold for many, many years to come. This is an excellent company - you will be pleased with the service and the results.

So far we have had no more leaks. I am very pleased with the service and professionalism of the S & K Roofing technician. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone needing roofing repairs.

Needed a new roof, called S&K based on neighbor recommendation. They gave a fair quote, answered questions, and provided excellent service. They are responsive on the phone, The 3 workers were polite, worked hard for 3 days to put on the roof, and cleaned up well when the work was done. Insulation was added to the attic on another day. Again, workers were polite, did a good job, and cleaned up afterwards. Overall, very satisfied with S&K.

I requested a roof estimate on my rental property because my tenant found some shingles on the ground. The estimator (Jeff?) inspected my roof at no charge. He said the loose shingles were not from my roof and that my roof required no work. This guy/company goes into my book as a very honest contractor. I will always call them 1st.

Never even had the opportunity to give this company my business. I called and asked if they provided a service to inspect a roof for a home under contract. I asked this question as soon as the person picked up the phone. She was extremely rude and short. It wasn't until the end of the conversation she explained they only perform services for home owners and then hung up. As a potential future customer, I will not be using this company.

I contacted S&K to receive an estimate on some roof and gutter repairs for the sale of my home. They were very quick to respond, calling first thing the next morning. There were also very quick to assume I'd likely need a new roof, sight unseen, over the phone. The also offer no guarantee or warantee of their work. They were the only of many companies I contacted to not do offer such reassurance. They were also the only to say we'd likely need a new roof, and they did so without seeing the roof itself, not even photos. We have a slate roof that has approximately 100 years left to it's life with maintenance...I would not bother calling S&K again. UPDATE: I WAS told over the phone that I would need a new roof...ridiculous, I know. There was no mention of a warranty for roof replacements, as I did not further discuss roof replacement with the gentleman I spoke with. He was extremely interested in knowing how many estimates I had gotten and who from, I found this extremely odd and to be a waste of my time. Every other contractor I contacted offered a warranty for their work, it's a shame you don't stand behind all of your work.

S and K Roofing installed an attic fan on my roof. When making the original appointment, the person answering the phone was polite and helpful. The fan was then installed on the agreed upon date. I was very satisfied with the service and would use S and K again.

S&K were a joy to deal with. I asked that the work be put off until after the holidays and they complied. Unfortunatley we had a death in the family over the holidays and I called S&K to postpone the scheduled start date. They were very understanding and within a week of returning they were at the house and did the job in one day. They sent an excellent crew out who were on time, had the materials needed, had the right equipment and worked their butts off. Everytime I went out to check that they were doing what I hired them to do they were doing it. No short cuts, no hassles, no nonsense. They cleaned up their trash and overall did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to have S&K do more work on my house. I am pretty picky and so are they. I highly recomend them.

From start to finish, the project went even better than I expected. S & K was highly recommended to me by two different sources that I trust. I was not disappointed. Don K came promptly and on time for the initial estimate, answered all my questions, and even suggested several ways that I could save money. Don K stopped by several times to monitor progress. Three different crews did the roofing, siding, and gutter work and all were excellent. Friendly, diligent, and professional, I have recommended S & K to several friends and neighbors and two have had S & K complete projects. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

They gave us the estimate shortly after the hurricane but it took a while before we have firmed up what we wanted to do with the deck because insurance decided that the whole thing could come down rather than just the lower deck there worth two other areas so we went through making some changes to just repairing exactly what we had and we did decide finally to upgrade but they had been good about providing information on a quick basis, giving me timeline feedback as to when they would get out so I recommend the company for the service we had gotten this far.

We had storm damage from Hurricane Sandy on a section of the roof. We received estimates for just replacing the damaged section as well as replacing the entire roof based on my request. The rest of the roof needed replacement anyways. We also had an estimate performed for gutter replacement as our gutters were in bad shape. We were given a list of houses in which S&K did roof/gutter jobs in our area, and we definitely appreciated this as we drove around to look at colors and overall job quality. We were impressed and excited to get the work done. S&K was very professional on the phone, even after we had a last minute hiccup with our fence gate not being open for the workers when they arrived. The roofing job was done in about a day and a half to replace our entire roof with premium grade shingles. They did a great job - very impressed with the workmanship. The roof job was complete the week after we got the estimate. Keep in mind that all other roofers I called during this time were booked for weeks and also charging for estimates due to the high volume of Hurricane Sandy jobs. S&K was still doing free estimates and did the work in a timely manor. We also paid for gutter replacement. This wasn't performed for about 3 weeks later, however. The gutters were completed in one afternoon and also look very well assembled and attached. S&K was a very professional company to work with and did the job when they said they were going to do it.

Work was done on time as agreed in one day. Cleanup was thorough.

They made an appointment and came out to us ASAP. The price was much less than others we had contacted. They were prompt on the date that they estimated that they would start. They did amen amazing job, clean up as well. I would highly recomened them.

Crew arrived on time around 9 a.m. and the 2 man crew immediately went to work putting down tarps all the way up my stairs and down the hall to the room where my attic access door is located. While one man started to install the baffles in the attic, the other man set up the machine and hose which was run through a window and he unloaded the bales needed. Nice efficient job! When they were finished they cleaned up...vacuumed around the inside of my house where they had worked and even vacuumed the yard! The room was left very neat and clean.
