He came on my property with his truck and equipment and left holes in my yard from his truck. He did not fill them in. I spoke with him that day and he promised he would be out the next day to fill the holes up. He never showed up and I've called several times with no response.

Buyer Beware!!!!! There is a reason why this business and its owner Tim Mahon has several outstanding law suits for breach of contract, non performace and several other unscrupulous claims. I too will be adding to that list for breach of contract and the judges decision will not be difficult. As far as my experience I via one of my agents signed a contract to have an old tree cut and removed for $1200. This contract was prepared by Legacy and dated 12/17/2011. Work was to commence on Monday 12/19/2011. Legacy never showed up and I had them contacted and they said they would perform the work on Friday. Friday comes and Tim never shows but counters his own contract with an 800 dollar increase in price which is rejected and he is made known of his breach of contract. On the 29th Tim begins cutting down the tree with a verbal agreement to render original contract provisions for now $1500. The tree is brought down rather skillfully and the work continues in to the darks hour of 6.pm. At this point the job is not completed but fearing for the safety of his employess I agree to pay the 1500 as Tim assured me via his self proclaimed "honorable handshake" that they would return on the 30th to complete the job. Not to my surprise Tim upon being contacted on the 30th says he will not be returning and would need an additional 1200 to complete what he originally contracted for a total of $1200 and had been paid $1500 for. Adding insult to injury some property was damaged as a result of the work performed. Needless to say I will be seeking ratification of these issues in court.

Response from Legacy Property Service, LLC
On behalf of legacy Property Service, LLC, I offer you the following response to the alleged allegations/complaint with Angie’s List. Business Owners Beware when respond to Baltimore Craigslist’s Labor Gig Postings!!! No work contract was ever made between Legacy Property Service and the complainant (Member). This complaint is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt by a group of unscrupulous Baltimore City investors to retaliate and tarnish the reputation of a 5 star business and a well-respected business owner because they wanted work performed at a bargain rate. Legacy Property Service firmly denies having any outstanding law suits or any pending legal actions for breach of contracts nor does the owner on behalf of Legacy Property Service. On December 15th 2011, we responded to a craigslist ad for the removal of a tree in Baltimore City. The ad offered $750 for the take down of the tree and provided dumpsters for removal of debris. Legacy was not given a name of the owner only the location address, (address). Information about the work was exchanged over the phone with an investor. At that time he was advised that based on the work being requested he was looking at a minimum cost of $1200.00. On December 19th Tim and our tree experts went to the location to visually inspect the work requested. Upon inspection it was noted that the Maple tree to be removed was approx. 265 years old, 30 feet and measured a 63 base. The house just had a new roof installed, there were live wires running through the tree branches and the proximity of the tree between (2) homes had limited falling space. After the inspection was performed the investor was contacted and advised that Legacy Property would not perform the work for $1200 that the cost was $2000.00. Due to the risk involved and associated cost requiring (2) tree experts (2) ropers and (4) groundsman. He was encouraged to get other estimates for consideration. The investors were furious and sent Legacy a very unprofessional email threatening to get an attorney involved and that they would submit bad reviews to local companies if we did not perform the work at the cost of $1200.00. A response was submitted back to the owner that no breach of contract ever occurred as no money ever exchanged hands. The owner was supposed to show up at the property during our visual inspection and he didn’t. On December 28th we received a call from an individual named (Customer) saying they accepted the contract for $2000.00 and we could start the work on the 29th that he would be there at 8:30a.m. with a cashier’s check. I questioned him about who sent us the threatening email and why they had a sudden change of heart. He stated he sent the email and he needed to have the tree removed A.S.A.P. Our crew started the job at 7:30 a.m. and at 9:05 (Customer) had not showed up with payment. Three different phone numbers were called and texted to advise that we would be pulling our crew off of their job if they did not respond. A call was returned around 9:30 advising Tim that (the owner) was on his way with payment. I suggested that Tim pull our crew off of the job because we were being hustled by a group of shady investors who had no intentions of paying us. We had no contact information for these investors as most communication was done through email/text messaging. The only name that was given to us was (Customer) at the email address (e-mail). I researched the main cell phone number on the internet and was able to identify the owner as the owner of P-Natic, LLC. The tree was limbed in its entirety by the time the owner arrived. When presented with the invoice for services totaling $2000.00 he announced he would only be paying $1500.00 for taking down the tree. I received a call from Tim asking me to change the invoice from $2000.00 to $1500.00 and to change the name from (Customer) to (Customer). Based on the price adjustment by the owner, removal of tree debris by Legacy was now voided. No damage was done to this property by Legacy Property Service in removing the tree and no refund will be given. Sincerely,
