They did a thorough job of inspecting for termites and found no damage. They also inspected other systems, such as insulation, wiring, plumbing, and electrical. As a result, we also contracted for insulation, covered under a separate review. For termite control, I was concerned about access to the foundation, because of our deck and porch. Instead of treating the foundation, they installed Sentricon bait traps, which contain bait that the termites take to their nests, and it prevents them from molting so they die. There is an annual fee to maintain the traps, in our case $200.

The inspectors who came out and estimated spent a long time explaining the work to be done, the local codes, and their plan for insulating our house. The workers were very professional and competent. A problem arose when there was a miscommunication between the inspectors and technicians about whether all 4 walls in the basement were to be insulated (as I was told by the technicians) rather than the 3 the workers did and thought they were finished, since one of the walls is on the garage side. While I was getting the disconnect straightened out, I discovered that the inspectors had overestimated the square feet, and the original estimate of about $10,700 should have been about $7,500. I discussed this with the inspectors and decided to have the attic over the garage insulated instead of taking the overestimate off the bill, since it is over some of our heated living space. I discovered another overcharge on that contract modification, because they were charging me for removing insulation from a large area where there was none. They were very willing to amend the contracts I had signed and assured me that they would correct our bill. I paid the amount I owed when they finished the work. I got a bill for the $600 difference, which I ignored because it was for the amount charged in error. Then I got a collection notice advising me that my account was 45 days past due. I called the billing department and explained the situation, and they told me it should be corrected. Fortunately I was able to provide an updated contract signed by their inspector that showed what I actually owed. I insisted on getting a letter stating that my account is now zero, and they complied. This is why I rated the "professionalism" poorly, because of the disconnect between the way this project was estimated and billed, and failure to communicate the corrections to the billing department. There appear to be some internal communication issues among the inspectors, technicians, and support staff at this company. Also a training issue regarding how to make accurate estimates. If you use this company, I suggest you take a few days to examine the proposal before you sign anything and ask about anything that you don't understand or agree with. At this point I'm glad we had the work done, and pleased with it. I don't want to try to add pictures, because this website is slow and sometimes hangs up. Writing these reviews takes too long because of that problem.

They are excellent. I have referred them to my neighbors. They are timely. They know what to do. When they come they introduce themselves to me. This is the best pest control company I have used in 30 years.

I like that they come and do a quarterly update where they spray around the windows and that kind of thing. If we have a problem and call, they are pretty responsive and will get somebody out here right away. I don't like that depending on which one of their agents come out, we get different stories. We had a problem with flying ants and I've had 3 of their different agents tell me 3 different things about how to get rid of ants. They are also not too responsive with the service. They came out and inspected and told us what was wrong and that they would get somebody out to put out ant traps. It took 3 months. They responded pretty quickly to the ants that come up out of the ground because they thought it might be termites. We did get a termite treatment just in case. There weren’t termites but this house hasn't been treated for quite a long time. The termite treatment was $900 with a 10-year guarantee. We had ants in the kitchen and they responded right away and told us what we needed and said they would bring over a particular product. We waited and waited and waited. I kept calling and they said they would be there Tuesday and they weren’t there on Tuesday and so forth. Someone else came in response to a different call and he said that we needed a different product and he would bring it over and he didn’t At our next quarterly inspection we still didn’t have it and I emailed them and got no response. Two weeks later we called them and then we got a response. They did not respond to their feedback page which really kind of annoyed me because why have it if you are not going to respond to it especially since they have an automated call that says they would like you to comment on their service on their website. If they are asking for the response, they should look at it. Their price is okay and it is comparable. They are responsive if you call but they didn’t follow up. We are going to keep using them for awhile because now that we had complained we figure they will listen to us.
