We were very happy with the service that Steve provided. Not only did he effectively get rid of the ants in a few days but he was a super friendly guy and explained the process thoroughly. My wife did refer to him as the “ant murderer” but Steve seemed ok with that label. The office staff were also super friendly and were able to get the treatment scheduled the day after I purchased the Angie's list coupon. We're very happy that we purchased the yearly service contract so we can have piece of mind and treatments every 3 months. Steve also said he'd be available to come back any time (outside of the three month treatments) if we had any more pest issues.

Great! They are professional and sprayed the outside and inside. I have not had any problems for 2 months now. I brought a year plan where they will come bi-monthly or more if needed. Very pleased.

Everything is better now!! He even took care of our carpenter bee issue. We were on the verge of buying a new vinyl fence for $4,100, but we are good to go.. he saved up $4,100!!

He is so great! So professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Ants have completely gone away, and will come and spray to ensure that your house remains pest free. Very easy to get a hold of, and schedule an appointment. A+ customer service & experience, I re-upped my contract for another year. Well worth the value- less than a dollar a day to keep the bugs away!

After the first treatment of the inside, the ants decreased. We had to get a second treatment a few weeks after that to fully eliminate them inside. They do the inside and outside for the first 2 visits, and after that they will come every 2 months to spray the exterior to ensure that the ants do not return. Well worth the money, prompt, on time, and call to schedule service ahead of time for efficiency of your own scheduling.

Everything went well. He was prompt and very courteous. Enjoyed working with him. Went above and beyond by inspecting inside my basement for any invasions I needed to be aware of. Will use again and recommend highly to others.

Everything went really well. We saw no ants or flying ants within two-three weeks of the company coming out. They were great to work with. Prompt and price was very reasonable.

The guys they sent were very nice and the services seems to have been pretty effective. I have seen a few ants but they told me to call and they would come back, so I plan to take advantage of that. I will say it seems a bit expensive for how long it took - about 10 minutes to spray around my house, so I may look around a bit to see if they have the best price.

I have a contract for a year with them. I couldn't find any body. He was local. The price seemed to be a good price. He really worked with me -I have lymphoma and I wanted something that wasn't terribly toxic and he used things that were less toxic. I wasn't too worried about other insects -just the ants. He was careful about how much he used in the house and stuff like that. He was punctual and professional.

They're fine. They did great. Their service stood out to me.

We signed up for a bimonthly pest control service and it is cheaper and more professional by far then our previous company. Recommended

The price was cheaper that some of the other people that I’ve called. Some of the extermination services do not deal with mice or whatever animals. One of the companies that came in was way more expensive. He explained to me that the best thing to do if I wanted to completely eradicate it was to pull up the insulation. Let them treat it, put the chemicals down, and then replace the insulation. It wouldn’t hurt for me to replace the insulation up there. The house is almost 20 years but that was extremely expensive. He is a contractor so it’s very convenient to offer that because he does that. When I brought Mr. Jackson from Home Guard in, he said that I don’t really need it and my problem isn’t that bad. He said that it wasn't a really bad infestation and I could do that, but I definitely don’t have to do that. He can get rid of the problem. There’s probably a dead mouse up there somewhere. He didn’t say that pulling the insulation was something that I needed to rush to do. When it’s time for me to replace the insulation, we can pull it up and do whatever treatment that he wanted to do. When the first exterminator left, I was completely freaking out. When he went into the attic, I saw the traps and I was terrified. I was inclined to say whatever evidence there is, get it out. The other guy didn’t try to scare me with the problem. I called my friends and I asked my dad. No one has ever told me to replace my insulation. There was a lady up the street and they were doing construction near our house. She had really bad problem. She said no one suggested her to pull up the insulation in her upstairs. That gave me more confidence because I was trying to make this decision and I had to make it quickly. Mr. Jackson was very professional. He was on time. He was prepared to come and do the various things. The price for his package was like half. He went ahead and sprayed for everything when he came back the second time to check on things and check the traps. He didn’t charge me for that. It was included in the price for the stuff he was doing for the mouse thing. He gave me the same price that was listed on Angie’s List. He doesn’t charge me. If I am seeing evidence or if I am not sure, he will come back as often as I want him to get rid of the problem. When I call, he calls me right back. I get a call back from him within the next two hours. When I asked my neighbors what they had paid, he was in that range.

He was very informative. On time. I was very happy with his services.

Steve was extremely responsive, thorough, and helpful from first contact to last. He took the time to explain the details of how the service works and answered all my questions regarding safety and effectiveness. He also gave helpful advice about simple things we could do around the yard to reduce the chances of problems in the future. On the day of the service they arrived on time and were courteous, thorough, friendly, and fast. My experience with Steve tells me that he is a straight shooter and a genuinely good guy who truly values Home Guard's customers and reputation.

Wife saw the hornets nest under the gutter/roof, right above the front door and panicked. It just looked ugly. I called the number and left a message for a tech to call back. Steve called within 15 minutes and was very professional. Explained the rates and that he could be over the same day. He was there earlier than the promised time. He took a look at the nest which was right under the roof (2nd level) and confirmed the rates. After he put up the ladder and removed the nest, he came back and actually dropped the price. He said for the size of the nest and how simple the task turned out to be, he could not charge me what he had originally quoted. This is the first time EVER that a contractor took reduced money from the estimate for me. It was very refreshing to see someone that is very honest. Thanks, Steve. Really appreciate the quick turnaround and honest pricing.

Steve came out same day and did a great job. I ended up contracting HomeGuard for an entire year of pest control. Great service and professionalism.
