He is a bad contractor. I was so angry with this man for all the bad things he did. My husband's wheelchair ramp was 14 inches above grade and my drawing said "to grade". He said that was the extent of his contract. We couldn't get occupancy because the county wouldn't pass it. It was just horrible; it was a nightmare. He didn't finish the contract. Some of the stuff he did was good; it wasn't all bad. The deck and ramp were of such poor construction that when we went out on them, they moved. It wasn't stable and it had to all be ripped out. He simply didn't finish it. The work wasn't bad except the bathroom wasn't done right but it was adequate. I had a home inspector who said the bathroom and deck were not done right. He finished in July 2010 and then we fought for months. We had this nice addition and couldn't get occupancy. We had to pay another contractor to finish. He was the general contractor and he had other people come in to do work. The drywall guy was good. The excavator didn't do a good job because it didn't drain. They had to redo it and afterwards I crawled under there and dug out more where they didn't do enough. The price was not out of line. He was good at responding in the beginning but bad at the end. He was pretty much here when he was supposed to be.
Description of Work: We used Geigerland Contracting to do an addition with a deck and handicapped ramp attached to it.

At first everything really looked good until I saw issues with the water after it rained. And then the contactor told us they had finished the ramp and I told them my drawing said "to grade" and he said I used the amount of boards called for in the contract and refused to make any changes to bring it down to grade. After we finally got everything to pass by spending several thousand dollars to make the corrections we move Jim into his new room only to find out that the shower in his new bath was done all wrong and doesn't drain properly. Mr Geiger doesn't seem to be taking my phone calls.
Description of Work: We had a small room and handicap bath built for my husband who is a service disabled veteran and the ramp was 14" above the ground when this contractor left and it would still be that way if we hadn't gotten another contractor to fix it. Also the bathroom floods when Jim takes a shower because the shower drain is 3/4" above the other side of the room. So I have to put down towels and mop everything up when he is finished. The tile is already beginning to crack because of the water laying on it and this will need to be re-done too. The excavating wouldn't even pass the county because we had a pond in front of the foundation that had to be corrected too. This guy is the worst contractor I have ever dealt with.
