Description of Work: I paid for 4 hours of repair work. The representative sanded and painted 3 rusty handrails, re-chalked the master bath shower stall, repaired 2 leaky outdoor hose bibs, and began sanding my deck prior to powerwashing and staining. The representative completed all the urgent tasks I had identified and provided an estimate for painting my house shutters and front door and provided a list of materials I needed to provide to prepare for the painting. I am very pleased with the friendly, informative help this company provided. Its given me new peace of mind for easily dealing with my aging home's routine repairs.

Description of Work: I contacted Handyman Matters about a problem with gutters pulling away on the rear of a 2-story house I own in Columbia, MD. I had concerns that the fascia boards were rotted. Scott performed an initial assessment on June 3rd and informed me that the fascia boards were actually solid but that the existing gutter spikes were too far apart and that there was some rotted wood at the cornice return. We set up an appointment for June 23rd (after I returned from vacation)for Scott to return and replace the rotted wood and paint the new wood, add hidden gutter hangers to the front and rear gutters, and clean all of the gutters. Scott performed all of these tasks as promised in a 4-hr visit. Scott was very professional and worked efficiently. I was completely satisfied with his work and with Handyman Matters.

Description of Work: I had some damage on my house that had taken place during recent storms in our area--a downspout had disconnected from my gutter, one portion of the gutter was pulled down and made even more of a problem by squirrels pulling it open, and there was something loose on the roof that I couldn't see, but could hear when the wind kicked up. I called Handyman Matters. The woman who answered the phone listened to my concerns and had quite a bit of knowledge about house repairs. She gave me their rates, an estimate of the amount of time the job might take, and what my costs might be. She scheduled my appointment for the following Wednesday for 8:00am. The craftsman was prompt (he was at my house about 10 minutes early), He knew what he was there for, went up to check it out and explained exactly what he had to repair. He (Rick) did the work. When he was done, he explained everything he'd done. Rick was friendly and professional. I will definitely use Handyman Matters for future repairs that I need around the house. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I had a very bad experience with this company. The first guy who came out did not have the right equipment to do the job. He also told me that he was late because his vehicle was in the shop. after I gave him to equipment to help him out he worked very slowly. He also forgot to bring money for lunch so my wife gave him so food. The next day something came up and he did not finish. The compnay sent out another guy a few days later and they had the right ladders etc. I would never use this company again. Poor workmanship, poor customer services and over priced means I would never use this company again.
