Professional. Everything done right. A little pricey at $80/hr, but they get out there on time and do good job. They want to work

Perfect. Will was dynamite. Came when expected. worked both days. cleaned up after himself. kept us in the loop regarding repairs, changes to original plans, etc. Have had NO problems since..

He came out to do the work and the leak is still there.

They were on-time worked quickly and very clean. Except for drilling the concrete floor ( to set cage ) we didn't even know they were working. Had all there own tools and didn't need supervision would definitely use them again.

Per conversation with business three days earlier on 11/20, a visit was scheduled for the afternoon of 11/23. In addition, I was assured a telephone call would be received regarding a specific time. On date of service, not one telephone call was received despite three attempts by myself during that afternoon to ascertain a specific time. Essentially, wasted an afternoon waiting with no response. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED CONTENT: In response to company?s reply, actions speak louder than words. Despite the statements made, company did not show up as promised nor demonstrate common courtesy by contacting me prior to the scheduled date/time regarding cancellation. In addition, they did not return any of the THREE telephone calls placed during the afternoon of scheduled service. In fact, one of the persons telephoned that day included the ?craftsman? himself. Negative feedback regarding my experience will not be limited to this venue.

I called on a Thursday or Friday to request a handyman. The person I talked to was very polite and asked what types of projects we needed done. He saiid that they could definitely take care of all our needs and explained their pricing to me. Basically he said there is a one-time service charge plus and hourly fee. He also said that they were having a special for 4 hours of service that would save us about $67 if we had enough work for 4 hours. He was very flexible and stated that we did not have to commit to a specific number of hours ahead of time and we could just play it by ear that day. I was able to set up an appointment for the following Wednesday. The night before our appointment our handyman called to confirm our appointment and get a few more details about what kind of work we needed done. He wanted to make sure that he brought the right materials, because the company charges you for time if the handyman needs to go to the store. Bob showed up the next day right on time and began working right away. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgable. He was able to complete all the jobs we requested initially plus some extras we threw in. We ended up getting the 4 hour deal and he did not stop working the entire time. Bob was wonderful and we would request him for any future work

Put up curtain rods and hung the drapes and curtains. The first time I used their services was about one year ago. I cannot say enough about Leon. He had to transfer a very large traverse rod from one apartment to another in my apartment complex. Not only was his work superb, he was so kind and friendly. I have given the company's name to several people now. The second time I used Handyman Matters, everything went well also. We were hoping to get Leon, back but he was unavailable.

Bob arrived well within the expected window, carefully explained our options, and performed our requested option promptly. He turned off the water to our outside faucet, locating a shut-off valve of which we were not previously aware, and explained the process for completing the repair would be best completed in the spring. He wrote down exactly what we would need for future service enabling us to complete the repair ourselves if we choose. When our hot water heater sprang a leak a few days later, Bob patiently took our call and explained the problem immediately, advising us to call BGE Home for the best and most fair replacement cost. We found him to be incredibly responsive and informative, saving us both time and money by enabling us with information rather than simply advising one expensive course of action.

Wonderfully! Bob showed up on time. The strings from the tension box (weights?) we're hanging down and I had over the past year had several estimates of repair and replacement ($1000.00) sometimes being told that it couldn't be fixed. I finally was able to order the replacement part from the manufacturer and Bob replaced the parts in one hour! Will definitely use them again.

Very pleased with the communication and work from this company. Howard made garage shelves for me based on my description and pictures, and he and Jesse did many smaller jobs I asked them to do.

The work was very good. Had a leak that damage a finished ceiling (drywall). Called Handyman Matters who sent Tommy the next day. He was very skilled and took down the water damaged ceiling and sprayed a mildew retardant. We had to wait 2 days for the retardant to dry. He returned on a Saturday to replace the drywall ceiling and apply the first coat of paint. He then returned the next day (Sunday) to complete the job. Wow..working on the weekend without a surcharge. The only complaint was that he did not do a very good job cleaning up. I did not worry so much as I had to have the carpet repaired due to the water damage. However, if he was doing an unrelated job, this probably would have annoyed me. That said, I would use their services again as the job was done professionally and promptly.

This was a "big deal" coupon -- two hours of work for $125. We needed a few outside jobs done, primarily because we couldn't physically reach the work areas ourselves. Communication with the main office was good, questions answered promptly. We were advised that we could save money by pre-purchasing materials (such as paint) and having them ready on job day. Jobs were done as requested, but after a few weeks the siding came loose again.

Did a wonderful job. Cleaned up after himself. All was perfect, just as requested.

Provider did not even bother to answer email

I purchased a special offer of two hours of handyman services for $120, for the purpose of patching ceiling and wall cracks on our top-floor family room, as well as making some simple master bathroom drywall repairs. The handyman was extremely slow working on the ceiling and wall patches, and so managed to use up the two hours on only the first job. Moreover, his work was sloppy and unsightly, and had to be re-done several months later. Very disappointing.

Mr. Diehlmann was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. He explained the problem with the originally installed fence post and gate and completed the fix in the anticipated time.

In each case the hand man arrived on time, did the work well, and cleaned up. What more can one ask for?

The handyman technician was excellent and went above and beyond to installed my tub drain. I had another contractor install a new tub in April, but he still hadn't finished the job of installing he tub by July., I contacted Handyman Matters of Columbia. and they immedialtely responded and scheduled a time to come out complete the job which was installing the drain for the tub. The technician was punctual and immediately went to work. The job was estimated to only take 2 hours, but took 4 because the technician ended up correcting some of previous work done by the prior handyman in dealing with the pipes leading to the drain. However, he took his time, corrected all the issues and made sure that there would be no future problems related to the pipes and the drains. I will be contacting them again to replace the tub in my master bath.

Excellent. The service provider, Chuck, was on time, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The cost of the work was extremely reasonable.

He runs over on his schedule sometimes, so I had to cancel once or twice. However he came on time on the first and was reliable. He did a beautiful job on the screen. Everything was just great.

This was my 2nd time using Handyman Matters. Both guys that came to my house were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and skilled. The work was done quickly and correctly. The price is a little higher than other handyman services, but the work is excellent. I will use them again.

The service from Handyman Matters Of Columbia turned out quite well. It worked very well. They were prompt, courteous and thorough. I really didn't have anything negative happen.

Richard arrived as scheduled, promptly at 8:00 AM. He was able to tackle every item on our list as well as a couple of surprise items. He patched a 18" x 15" hole in our ceiling from some plumbing work using sheet rock & mud that we provided, re-hung 4 sliding closet doors that needed adjustments, and replaced the track and hardware entirely for a 5th closet door. I had purchased new tracking hardware for every door, but he was able to fix 4 of the 5 doors without needing the new hardware, meaning I can return most of the hardware to get that money back. Even 5 minutes before he was scheduled to leave, we thought of one more project (our front door), and he was able to fix the problems (noisy opening & closing, deadbolt misaligned) in just a few minutes. All in all, Richard was at our house for 3 hours and did jobs that combined would have taken me at least a day and a half! He was extremely professional and left all the work areas very clean.
