Bob Helms and his assistant Bailey were a couple of the most meticulous individuals that you would hope to have working on your home. Bob was down to earth and provided you with insight on the work as if he were working on his own home. You had confidence in his knowledge and the work that he performed. These individuals worked non-stop from project to project not wasting anytime along the way. If you hire Helms Electric, you will be happy you made that choice. I only wish the cost was 3 easy payments of $19.95 :>)

Bob has worked on several projects over the years in our home, the last one being a transfer switch for generator. I was considering whole house generator, but after talking with Bob went with transfer switch. Glad I did, much more cost effective and have already used twice for power outages. Work is of excellent quality with wire/cable runs straight and neat in appearance. He is very efficient at what he does, so you get a good value. Comes prepared with supplies on truck and has always been on time. I will continue to call on him for any future work.

Called 30 mins prior to arrival - ask to come earlier than arranged, which was perfect. Had to go through Attic to drill through ceiling to mount ceiling fan and run the wires to the switch. Excellent job - professional, friendly and cleaned up after the work was done. Would absolutely hire again.

Bob and a helper arrived as planned. They covered the work area with a tarp and removed the old fixture and installed a new LED fixture without issue. What an improvement ! This is not the first time we have used Helms Electric and we have been very happy with the results.

They were professional, prompt, and completed the job in a timely manner. We are very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to hire them again for other electrical issues.

I never heard back from Bob. He took my call from the road, I briefed him on my project needs, and he gave me his cell to text him and coordinate an appointment. I tried a second time to reach him and no response. This would have been the second job for Bob on our home, and the first time I gave him a great review the first time. Bob has an automated text reply on his cell. I would not recommend his services, as he was quite unprofessional.

Had 5 ceiling fans installed in rooms, changed lights in kitchen, installed recessed lighting, and changed outdoor lighting. Work completed within a few hours. A few fans did not come in so they had to return to install another day, arrived on time, installed and also provided recommendation for another contractor for additional work I need to have performed. WI'll call again for any other work I need performed!

It went well. Bob and his apprentice completed a lot of much needed electrical work around the house. They were on time. They were professional. The price was reasonable for the amount of work they finished. All-in-all, it was worth hiring these guys!

This was a last minute issue we had near the holidays. Mr. Helms provided some guidance to allow me to resolve the issue. I was still in need of his help. He arrived on time and took care of the issue with a minimum of time and effort. Very professional. Extremely polite and helpful.

Bob was on time and very courteous. He did an outstanding job and cleaned up after the work was done. I will highly recommend Bob and his partner to family and friends. The cost was very reasonable. I live in Bel Air and it's nice to know that that we have an electrician in Harford County who performs outstanding work! I will certainly call him again if the need arises.

They called ahead of time and arrived on schedule, had all the right tools for the job. Bob and his crew did the work quickly and professionally. Great company to work with.

The customer service was non-existent and displayed a horrible work ethic. Bob came this am to do a light he quoted me on and failed to honor his quote, which was in writing, because he had made a mistake. He didn't even attempt to rectify his mess up, he simply walked out and drove away! Would NEVER recommend Helm Electric!!!

He arrived. He seemed disinterested. Showed him the house and outside to where the work needed to be done. Discussed it with him in detail. I told him I was getting several estimates. He did not like this from the expression on his face. He assured me he would get me an estimate in 2-3 days He never did reply after a week holding me up in making a decision. I had gotten two estimates differing by 1200 dollars in cost. Bottom line is he never got me an estimate despite the fact I made special arrangements to meet him. I suggest you call him only if you are ready to hire him without getting estimates from other people. I do not know if he will be reliable in his work. He certainly was not reliable in keeping his word.

Apptmt time was for 8:00 am, Bob and his assistant showed up a couple minutes early. A tall ladder needed to be brought into front door, and they were very careful not to scrape any walls or bang into the old chandelier. The old chandelier was taken down and new one installed within 20-30 minutes. While the electrician was on-site, I inquired into having an electrical outlet installed on outdoor lamppost. I was pleased when Bob quoted $60 to install and said it could be done immediately. Overall, I was very pleased with everything and would likely use Helms Electric in the future.
