A-AAA Tree Service

The crewe came in on time, which was impressive. The climber and supervisor came by to look at the job and surrounding area. We had to remove a short part of the fence (only about 5 or 6 ft.) and that was fine because it was a chicken wire thing easily put back afterwards. Once the fence was pushed out of the way, the climber went up and started removing the lower branches. They went after the dead tree first. Once branches were taken out he began taking out the top and working his way down. Overall, the work went very quickly, considering that the guys were hauling man size lenghts of tree trunks single handedly to the shredder. I knew shredders were powerful, but, WOW!, it was fun watching that thing eat up that tree. After taking out the dead tree, they started on the other two. The climber had to take his time and look for the proper way to bring down each piece of tree without touching the houses. He was very methodic, deliberate, and careful (I was very appreciative) on how he attacked each part of the job. Once the trees were gone about 2 hours or so, the suprvisor came in with the stump grinder and started to do his thing. Once the stump was gone, the crew came in to spread the mulch and that was that. Nice, impressive work overall. Thanks very much

I used them immediately, they came out, there was a part of the job that wasn't complete but it wasn't their doing, it was one of their people who hadn't actually gotten the message to do a particular piece of it and they came back, they actually couldn't have been nicer, it was actually just some stump grinding that the guy didn't know to do and he came back and did it. The first person to come out was the owner, he did the assessment, he's a really nice fellow, I think it was his wife that I talked to on the phone. I was supposed to send them a cheque for the difference but I wasn't here when they did it and they did the job beautifully. I thought I mailed it to them but it turned out I didn't so I wrote them immediately by e-mail and said I'm mailing it today and they said it was not a problem and they thanked me. They're just old fashioned nice people. I thought it was an incredibly fair price, we had a lot of work that needed to be done. They sent somebody back over the weekend to finish the job.

This is the second time we have used A-AAA Tree Service and both times we were extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. We have a wooded lot so there were a number of mature trees that were close to the house. They provided sound advice on a plan for addressing the most critical tree issues while still working with us to stay within our budget. We still have a couple of more trees to address in the future and based on our experience with A-AAA Tree Service we will be using them again.

Tree removal and trimming were accomplished in one day. I did have to wait a few days for the stump grinding, but that was completed in less than an hour. The men who did the work were polite and professional, and took great care to leave my deck and yard in pristine condition before they left. Tracy at the office was unfailingly courteous, and always returned my calls promptly. The cost of the job was quite reasonable, since I purchased an Angie's List big Deal that saved me $200 off the total. I wholeheartedly recommend A-AAA Tree Service.

Very professional and clean service

This company was very good about communication - I sent an initial e-mail requesting an estimate late on a Saturday night and had a return e-mail before the end of the night, setting up an estimate for Monday. At the estimate I was told I would be contacted to schedule an appointment by the following Wednesday - I did not hear from them and had to contact them to follow up, but I recieved a prompt, apologetic reply and they put me on the schedule immediately. The work was completed within two days of my contacting them for followup. The quoted price on the job was a little high - $750 for grinding of the stumps in question. Two other companies had quoted $400 and $375 for the same job, but one of the other companies had been scheduled for the job and never arrived after repeated calls. In addition, A-AAA tree service offered to grind an extra, mostly rotted stump, for free. Plus A-AAA removes all the chips from the grinding, where the other companies would have left it in place. Combined with the fact that I received a discount on the service by getting a big deal through angie's list, I feel the $550 I spent out of pocket was a reasonable price for the provided services. I don't know if I would have had the work done without the big deal discount. The actual work was very well done. The crew actually arrived early - when I arrived home just before they were supposed to start, they were actually finishing up the job and getting ready to leave already! There were no visible chips left, all the stumps were ground and the site very well cleaned. All in all, very good work!

After John looked the job over I was given a fair price. I received e-mails to set up the appointment and another one when they had to cancel due to inclement weather. The crew showed up on time and the man in charge had me go over all I wanted done. They worked fast and hard, doing exactly what I showed them to do. They moved junk around in my yard and put it back in place when they finished, a plus for me since I could not move it myself and my husband is 81 years old. The job looked great when they were done in just 5 hours! What a difference! I would definitely recommend them and would use them again. It was a no hassle, good overall experience!

Easy scheduling of the estimate and the work. 4 man crew came right on time and worked hard for 3.5 hours. They did more trimming of the smaller trees around the property line than I expected, so that we would have less dead wood falling in our yard during storms. They cleaned up thoroughly and everything looks really good.

They took down a tree by my porch, as well as two small Mulberry trees. I still need some work done, but the price was fair for the work they did.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's List. Called the company to set up the estimate. John came out and told us what work he could do with the coupon. He was friendly and didn't try to pressure us into doing more work than the coupon would buy. A couple of weeks later the company returned to do the job. The crew was friendly and polite, and they cleaned up the area before they left.

I wasn't here when they did the work, but when I got back, the trees were trimmed exactly as I wanted and my yard was in good order. I am very pleased with the cost and the quality of the work and customer service. My property has many trees and I will definitely use A-AAA tree service again. I can't say enough about this company, they exceeded my expectations.

They came out when they said they would for both the estimate and the job. The work they did was great. They cleaned up after themselves and performed the services exactly as they said they would. We did not have to be there while they did the work and they emailed the invoice to us.

I was extremely pleased with the whole experience from the purchasing the coupon, through the quote all the way to cleaning up after they were finished. The whole process only took about an hour total and they were pretty large trees.

When we scheduled the job, he came out again to look at the trees, and decided he only wanted to do only 2 feet off the top and sides (and pay $450 for that?!?!?! I could just do it myself!!!!). He never spoke with me about it in person (I communicated via email with a woman at his office), so I asked him to stop by and discuss it with me in person. I wanted more than 2 feet because 2 feet would not have any affect - it would still be overhanging my roof and cars. He obviously did not want to kill the tree (which I assume was his concern), but I was willing to discuss it with him in person (so he could explain to me the reasoning). At that point, they said they were passing on the job. I asked for an explanation but they refused to reply. It appears from this situation that they wanted a fast and easy job for quick money, and refused to do the job when they would actually have to perform.

The job went very well. They were very thorough and left the work areas very clean. Both the pampas grass and brush pile cleanup were very tedious work but they just kept at it until it was done. When it was not possible to bring the chipper close to the woodpile due to wet ground conditions, they dragged all of the old branches around to the front of the house on a tarp.
