Work was done faster then I expected. Everyone was very professional. The job looks great.

This is the second project Outdoor Advantage has done for us. While this particular one just finished, so I can't yet say how well the flooding has been alleviated, the first project, which took care of flooding in our backyard was great - no more flooding! And the backyard looked great after the work was completed (as does the front walkway now). Could probably find someone to do the work for a bit less, but knowing it's done well is worth it.

The work is was done on time and as scheduled. We needed the job completed quickly since we are in process of selling our house. Dave fit us in and the workers did a very professional job prepping the area and then placing the sod. Job well done!

Very reliable professional company that does quality work at fair prices

Fast response, clear identification of the scope, and good prices. My wife and I asked them to work on a steep large hill behind our house and about 5 other smaller tasks. Within minutes of sending acceptance of the scope of work to their email account, they replied with a date that they could start. When we got home, we found that they went beyond our expectations - by a lot. We figured there must have been a crew of at least 8, but our neighbors said it was 4 guys. Impressive guys! Thanks, we will be calling you again!

Poor communication once the contract was signed. The team showed up and began work without coordinating with us. We were not living at the house at the time as we were having the floors refinished and I happened to stop by and found them there already beginning the work and fortunately so because they needed access to power and water. The original quote was more than we could afford to do so we selected a few critical things for them to complete. We choose to hire someone for this work under the assumption that it would be quality work and they would point out the best way to do things. The contract language is terse and in hindsight the lack of detail should have been a warning. We were disappointed with the results and expressed concerns, only to be met defensiveness and excuses that things were not explicit in the contract. The quote included adding a course of concrete cinder block to extend the basement stairwell, but they used half height blocks and not a full course leaving us with less height than expected which was not clear in the contract. The landing at the top was poured over existing sidewalk which is now impossible to remove without damaging the new work. The rear patio was only removed down to grade (not specified in contract) leaving an exposed concrete footer. Some siding was removed to install the new rear stairs, but no moisture barrier was installed behind the ledger board. The stairs are narrow and overlap the door trip which will now be difficult to repair. The front steps are not square to the house, crooked and do not line up with the existing walkway. It is obvious that one of the posts was set out of alignment in order to avoid demo of a small piece of concrete that was in the way. The existing ledger board was left in place and again no moisture barrier was used to correct the water infiltration issues we have there. Several boards were not completely fastened which I had to address myself. They suggested leaving the previous concrete footer in place so I assumed it would be obfuscated by the new steps, but it is an eyesore that is wider than the new steps and cannot be hidden or easily removed. My failure was in assuming that they had our best interests in mind. I feel like I would have to be an expert and tell them exactly how to do everything to be pleased with the results and that is not why we choose to hire a professional for this project. We had a big job with lots of pieces, and Outdoor Advantage was able to schedule us quickly. The crew was professional, showed up on time, and cleaned up each day. They checked with us to make sure we were satisfied and came out again to correct a couple of things. The price was about what we expected for all the work.

While this was certainly not the least expensive option, they absolutely provided the best service that we have ever received. The team was prompt, courteous, and exceed our expectations for the work. I look forward to having an ongoing working relationship.

This was the best bed treatment-mulching I've ever received. From the time I made arrangements with Dave through the work of his crew, I was very, very satisfied. The crew worked tirelessly on what was a big job (12 big beds); they were efficient, friendly, and did a great job. I've never had a crew do such wonderful edging!

The job they did looks great. The patio price was less than the other estimates I got. The crew answered my questions about how they were doing things. Photos show before (green carpet and brick) and after (pavers). I would definitely use Outdoor Advantage again.

Dave and his crew were absolutely wonderful! We were living overseas when our house flooded and he assured us over the phone he would fix the problem which they totally did! Thanks so much for helping us complete a successful tour while knowing our home was in good hands!

Would NEVER use these people again. Cost was outrageous. Owner is very knowledgeable but the crew he sent didn't have a clue about how to trim a tree. They completely destroyed several mature japanese maples, to the point where I just want to cut them down to the ground. They cut away too many of the low branches, which is called "lion-tailing" (Google it). It will take 10+ years of careful and attentive grooming for these trees to develop any more low level growth. I can't say enough, just DO NOT use these people to do anything more than mow grass and remove weeds.

Went well, overall. Now, trying to have the owner/manager follow through to schedule date and time to examine the health of my laurel and maple tree. Have not heard back from them, yet.

Dave is very personable & professional & arrived on time for the estimate. The landscaping timbers & the work process was explained.. Dave provided a picture of the steps. The simply stated estimate was received in 2 days. The Foreman, Ricardo, arrived a day or two before starting the work to access the area & go over the work process. He & his crew arrived when promised. The project was thoroughly & professionally completed in the stated number of days. Every worker was courteous. The crew is an asset. We highly recommend Outdoor Advantage.

Dave Ewell came out to the property. Looked over what had to be done and gave me a complete broken down quote that evening. We awarded him the work and he started within two days and finished within two day. Dave was great to work with and the resulting work was very well done. Very well My basement is dry even after the recent rain.

The walls of the outside stairwell are beautiful, even though it's cinder block! An additional layer of cinder block was suggested so that water doesn't go into the stairwell. Drainage and a reservoir was added to move the water away from the stairwell. We will see once a long, hard rain comes if the basement will flood. The folks at Outdoor Advantage were very nice and knowledgeable!
