Great, they even came out in the rain to do my work.

Not well. I’m too embarrassed to write the review that i had drafted up. I'll leave it at this: our experience did not end well.

The guys showed up right on time, were professional, super nice and did an excellent job. They cleaned up very well afterwards. I will be using them again!!

This was the worst customer service I have ever received from any provider at my house ever. I have 4 old large trees in my yard all of which need trimming of dead wood and care. Provider arrived and looked at them without telling me that he was there, then knocked on my door and asked what I wanted. I told him that I knew my dead wood needed trimming back but was looking to do it in the spring after I see if there is further die back from winter. I was looking for fertilizing all now, and to safely put up a tree swing for my kids. I DID want any dead wood above a proposed swing cut out, but he didn't even give me a chance to talk to him about that - he decided that I was stupid and wanting him to do something that was high liability and so he lectured me for a minute without letting me respond - then said "I am out!" and turned his back on me and walked to his car and left without a further word. I felt attacked, judged and demeaned. I am a reasonable person who appreciates liability and risk, and would never ask any professional to do something unprofessional or that would pose a risk to them or my family. I did my research and learned what I could about swings and tree health and how to protect my trees from damage while creating a reasonable swing for my kids. I was looking for guidance, assistance and understanding of myself and the way my family uses our yard. What I got from this provider was awful, quick to judge and rude beyond belief. If he though I was misguided, that is fine, he is the professional and is welcome to educate me, but he choose to jump to conclusions and be rude, unprofessional and down right mean. I would not only not hire them I will be actively telling people to avoid them at all costs.

Fantastic, they trimmed three trees and dropped one in less than 3 hours. You can barely tell they were here other than the sun is now seen from my front yard. Great job and price was right.

The service provided was excellent and timely. Chuck made the estimate a day after requesting it and he determined the two medium sized trees to be removed needed immediate attention. Two days later, an excellent team of three men came and removed the trees with the proper clean up. Chuck and I arranged to have the stumps grounded in the near future. My wife and I were very pleased with this family owned business. Lisa, the receptionist and tree removal specialists were professional, on time and made every effort to complete the job as proposed on the estimate. Suggestion: the removal team we used like complimentary cold ginger ale and root beer (other choices may be nice).

I've been using Chuck for 8 years now to drop trees and grind stumps. He always comes out on the Saturday after I call the office to provide a free estimate. He and his crew always show up at 9am on the date they're scheduled to work, and they always do what they say they are going to do. I find his prices to be very fair for the work that he does. I have repeatedly referred Chuck to friends of mine, and I do so now without reservation.

Chuck and his team performed a standout job. Price was fair for amount of work done, and was completed within timeframe agreed to. Work included removal of a large maple, three stump grinds, four large maple trims, four smaller tree trims, planted 7 leylands, regraded backyard, two flower garden relocations, bulk mulch and hosta planting, hay and seed backyard.

Great work. Very nice people. If anyone needs any work done they should hire these people. :)

Very professional job in a difficult environment .

Very mixed - after reading Angie's list's glowing reviews we were quite disappointed. The initial survey was prompt and punctual, but when the workers arrived to do the quoted work, they made did not complete the job (missed cutting down one tree and grinding the stump) and ground down one of the wrong stumps. As they were leaving, they argued with my wife that they were complete, even though the quote clearly described the job to do. Calling the office, we were able to clear up the problem, but upon the second return, the workers failed to grind the stump. After another call to office, they came back several days later and finally completed the job. In the process of their three trips, they did some damage to the fence gate and the gravel / paver stone landscaping. Though the company had the potential to have provided great service, with all the problems we encountered, I can only recommend them with reservation.

From initial phone call to showing up at my house was approximately 30-45 minutes. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Would definitely use them again!

It went great! It didn't take him and his team long at all to get the job done. It's always a good idea to support a family ownded and operated business.

The company was responsive to my calls and came out within 2 days to give a quote. The quote was given on a Thursday night and they came the next morning and had the work done in a few hours.

They was supposed to come out to do some work and never showed up. Then they were arguing with us about what was on their estimate, but nobody ever showed up to do the work. We called them back two or three times nobody picked up the phone. The wife of the owner decided to call us back a week later said that she was on vacation. I would never recommend them. They told us it would be $250, then they told us later it's a different price and the work that was on the order was different. It was $250, then later they quoted us a different price of $400.

The tree was blown down on Sunday afternoon, I called them and they returned my call within an hour, even offered to come out that night if it was an emergency. I called them back on Monday morning around 9am. I was told someone would be out to give me an estimate that day. Around noon I got a call with a quote and he told me he could do it that very day. I got home f on work around 5 and it was completely taken care of. Amazing service and good quality work. I know exactly who I will call should I ever have this happen again or need tree work done...... as a bonus they worked with my homeowners insurance too!!! .....

I called this company multiple times and times and got through to this company once. When I got through, I set up a schedule for them to come to my home to give me an estimate. I have not heard from the since. I tried to called them to get a quote but can get anyone on the phone. I am very disappointed with this company.

Very professional. Provided a written estimate and had many good suggestions for us. In the end we decided to postpone the general landscaping work, and we went with another company for the tree work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Well, it was sort of a plus and minus, some good things and not so good things. First of all, he showed up 4 days early before he was scheduled and that was a busy day for me so I couldn't really keep an eye on what he did. When he did the pruning, we had one cherry tree that had a broken branch and when it grew back up it was straight up and he pruned it so much that there were like 4-5 big branches that were coming out of the ground, There were no leaves or anything left. So I told him that that doesn't work and that he should take it down. So he did came back and took that down. There were a couple of trees I asked him to take care of because some of them had been growing out from the side. He wanted me to tell him which branches we wanted taken care of. He didn't seem to have any professional input on how to make the tree look good so I had to give him very precise directions. I would use him in the future but I would make sure to keep an eye on him and make sure he'd do what needs to get done.

I was able to make an appointment very quickly. Chuck arrived on time , was personable and gave me the estimate. I didn't need to be at home for the work to be done. The job was performed as discussed.

I have two large maples with extremely broad and dense crowns. They are both very susceptible to wind damage and breakage. I have lost several limbs during the last two years, which have caused some damage to the house.. I also have a number of arborvitae that required topping and trimming. Mr. Peddicord came on a Friday evening to assess the job.. He gave an estimate on the spot, and indicated that he could provide a crew the next day to complete the job.. A crew of 4 began at approximately 0800 hours on Saturday...The work was performed quickly and efficiently.. I don't recall anyone taking a break for next 4 hours... Everything was chipped on the spot.. The yard was completely picked up, with not a piece of debris remaining.. I was very satisfied with the work, and would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone..

After several unsuccessful attempts to reach Mr. Peddicord, I emailed him on April 15, 2013 repeating my request for a final proposal. Attached is a copy of my email which includes an April 16, 2013 response from and ldquo;Lisaand rdquo; indicating that it would be sent. I never received a final proposal that excluded the stump and described the scope of the work to be done. Instead, on May 5, Mr. Peddicord sent his workers to my home without my approval and without notice. When I realized they were here, the stump had been ground down and his crew was about to load the truck. A spokesman whom I took to be the Foreman said they were following instructions given by Chuck that morning. I immediately called Mr. Peddicord for an explanation. As soon as he realized it was me on the phone, he apologized and said he knew that he was not supposed to remove the stump, a mistake had been made and he would not charge me for it. Because he apologized I tentatively agreed to pay him for the stump grinding after an inspection of what they'd done. The yard looked worse without the stump! There was a high pile of and ldquo;stump chipsand rdquo; which he subsequently had the workmen to spread out in an effort to make it look better. The results are far from satisfactory because the chips were spread out quite a bit beyond the circumference of the stump and has caused damage to my lawn over a very large area. To add insult to injury and ndash; I was asked by the crew leader to show him what else they were to do. He claimed that they had not been given any instructions beyond removal of the stump. Without an itemized list formalizing the work to be done, I could only point out a few obvious things but had no way of knowing what fell within and ldquo;the big dealand rdquo; pricing. In our first meeting, however, I had cautioned Mr. Peddicord not to go beyond the and ldquo;dealand rdquo; without my approval. After the crew was finished, I was presented with a proposal marked and ldquo;completeand rdquo; that included pricing for stump removal and leveling out of the grindings as though the latter had been part of an already existing agreement when in fact it had not surfaced as an issue until that morning after the crew had grinded down the stump! The bill also included other items in a listing of the scope of the work done by the crew, a list that I had neither seen before nor signed off on. Therefore, omitting the tree stump from the calculations, I can't begin to assess whether I received $400.00 worth of services! In his itemization and pricing, Mr. Peddicord used a $400.00 figure instead of the $199.00 paid to Angie's List and wants me to pay CTLS for an unapproved $380.00 overage. Finally, if I had been given the expected opportunity to review my initial complaint given you over the phone, I doubt that I would have described Mr. Peddicord's actions as fraudulent. I was very upset and emotionally drained when I called. What I would say, however, is I believe that either he was confused about how Angie's List works or he took advantage of the fact that I am a 4'11and rdquo;, eighty-year old Black female with whom he was doing business!

A 30 foot tall tree in our front yard had grown over the roof of our home and was generally in need of trimming. CTand L stopped by on a Sunday and made a recommendation and quoted a price of around $400. We used a special offer from Angie's and only paid around $200. They showed up on time, did a very nice job and cleaned up perfectly. Our tree looks much better and happier and it no longer encroaches on our roof. We are perfectly satisfied with the entire process and results.
