They were excellent and we were very happy with them. They were very responsive and very helpful to work with. They really knew what they were doing and they spent time to explain it to us. They also took time to contact the electrical company on our behalf, which saved us a lot of time and effort. They fixed a serious problem for us when previous people we had contacted didn't seem to know what to do.

Great experience from start to finish. I called the company based on Angie's List reports. Told them my schedule was flexible and I didn't need a lot of advance notice to schedule the work. The electrician, Jeremy, called me early one morning to say that he could fit me in that same day if it was convenient for me. He arrived an hour later, and went to work right away. The work was done before noon, everything was cleaned up, and 7 rooms had upgraded three-prong outlets. They were willing to stay and do another job I asked about, but I wasn't quite ready for the work to be done. I will definitely call them when it's time to do the job. Professional and personable staff from scheduling to completion.

We are in the process of selling our house and the home inspector found some minor work which needed to be taken care of by a licensed electrician. Mr. Hyman arranged the service call himself and the employee who came out was prompt and professional. He took his time to explain to me what he was doing in each part of the job but was never intrusive or verbose. The job took a little more time than he had originally thought and a discount was offered, which I greatly appreciated, even though there was no time limit or agreement. I would absolutely recommend this company to others.

Whenever you turned on the hall light on the 2nd floor of my house the hall lights also came on downstairs. Sounds minor...but it was incredibly annoying! Also needed to add a new outlet in the hall, GFCI protect the kitchen, and get a 3-way switch in the dining room working right. Called Bill Hyman on Friday. The owner actually answers the phone himself, which is nice. His crew came out on time as promised a couple of days later. After troubleshooting the situation, they gave me a couple of options and were very up front about the cost ($1,200) to run the new wiring to resolve the problem and adding the outlet. The switch system is really complex as it involved five or six lights and a fan on two floors. It took about 7 hours from start to finish. After they finished, it works and looks great. The crew was first class. They were very courteous, hard workers who communicate very well. You may be able to find electricians who could do the job for less, but I am confident that Hyman Electrical does quality work that is safe. This is the second time I have used Hyman Electrical and I will certainly use them again.

Bill Hyman informed me that there is a $75 service fee, so if there are other issues that we needed checked out, then it would be best to have them assess everything while they were there. They began by checking the main electrical box to ensure there were no off switches. Hyman Electric did a terrific job, start to finish. Apparently not a lot of thought had gone into the lighting design originally, but Bill Hyman and his staff had good ideas that have made the house infinitely more attractive. In the process, they also solved a number of practical problems (like a poorly lit staircase and dark closets). They started within a couple of days of our accepting their estimate, in contrast to several contractors who said they couldn't get to the job for weeks.
