We were very pleased with every aspect of our interaction. They gave us our estimate in a timely manner. The installer was very courteous and accommodating. We have dealt with some other contractors, and they were nowhere near as good as Hyman Electric. Everything was very professional and they stood by their very competitively priced estimate. We were extremely happy with them and would certainly use them again.

Mr. Hyman handled our initial call and said they did a fair amount of this sort of trouble shooting, he explained what his techs would do and what the alternatives would be if the problems were uncorrectable. His men showed up on time and went to work promptly. They were careful to explain what they would do and were very clear as to the cost for opening up each electrical box in attempting to find the problems. Within three hours they had found all the problems and corrected them including replacing defective devices, rewiring as needed and tracing wiring through the house. We did not expect this to be cheap since there was no way to figure out the nature of the problems or where and how extensive they were without actually doing the work. I doubt we could have rewired and replaced these circuits for anywhere near what this cost in the end. The two men worked well together, were very polite and open to questions. They insisted on cleaning up the areas they worked in and left the house in better shape than when they arrived.

I am guessing some would consider 2300 slightly high for a heavy up. However, I believe given the service I received that Mr. Hyman delivered very professional services for the price. I would rather pay more for better service then pay less and have to correct with rework later on. This was my first time in a while experiencing such delightful, professional and terrific service with a contractor. I look forward to doing more business with Bill in the future.

We had a flood in our upstairs bathroom which led to water seeping through the floorboards and through the recessed lights in our living room. I called William G. Hyman Electrical, a company we have used in the past, and they came out for the service call within 30 minutes. The recessed lighting was taken apart, dried out, and replaced.

We have used them twice for various projects in a new home. On the first visit we had them add two additional outlets, one inside and out. They did this right on estimate and in less than 2 hours. The second time they moved an outlet into a different location to accommodate a new fridge. Both times they confirmed their appointment times and were prompt and worked in a very efficient manner. I would highly recommend them. Very knowledgeable and courteous.

The electrician sent to our home tracked down an intermittent line-side arc, and he and the owner advised us how to get Pepco to fix it, saving us over $6000 dollars (what it would have cost for them to do the much more involved work that would have had to be done had Pepco not been able to do the repair. Pepco also was great to work with!) These guys were smart, on top of the problem, totally honest, and very helpful. They have my highest recommendation.

I spoke with an electrician who was happy to answer my questions over the phone. He was patient, polite, and provided the information I needed. Instead of trying to sell me work that I didn't need, he told me that the item was not a high priority and could wait. I was very impressed with their honesty and professionalism. I would definitely use them if I had electrical work to do in the future.

I called William Hyman electrical at 7am. The call was answered immediately and they sent an electrician within two hours. The fee for the consultation was $75. The electrician told me I should replace the entire fuse box and quoted a price of $2,800. When I said I thought the price was high and I wanted to get a second quote, the boss called and suggested I could get homeowners insurance to pay for it by writing it up as an emergency. I called a second electrician. He looked at the box and said the screw for the main electrical cable was loose. He tightened it and I have had no problems since.

Excellent. Crew showed up on time; finished on time. Wiring, permitting, and labeling were very professional. Work was done by Mr. Jeremy Andres. I am an engineer and wiring bundling looked like aerospace quality. Discount given for Angie's List customer.
