They worked diligently, cleanly, and professionally. They explained the results before they left, provided convenient payment options, and emailed my receipt before they left the work site. Tomato Electric was suggested to us by our HVAC technician to deal with an electrical issue affecting our AC. They arrived on time for their scheduled appointment, quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced our corroded electrical panel the same day. When the job took less time than initially estimated, they reduced the service charge by several hundred dollars without our requesting a discount. We were very happy with this company and will use them again.

I emailed via Angie's List on Monday afternoon and received an almost immediate response, but was not able to deal with this further until Tuesday morning. Received a call (per my request) at opening of business on Tuesday, scheduled for Friday, but an opening came up and the electrician arrived on Tuesday afternoon. He was able to diagnose the problem and replace the burned out socket within half an hour.

It's an old house & took longer than any of us expected but the team was patient and thorough. They took their time, did as few cuts to the basement as necessary and got it done well. I am very pleased & would absolutely use them again.

As a woman, I sometimes get folks who talk down to me not realizing that I research everything so I have a pretty good idea of what they will be telling me before they get here. This company is honest, to the point and most importantly, they do what they say - no drama. The entire experience from the first phone call to the completion of the work was EXCELLENT! I cannot imagine using anyone else for my electrical needs.

The electrician arrived right on time - in face a few minutes early, which I love. We walked through the job and discussed what needed to be done. He also made a few suggestions. Once finished, he went right to work. It was a big job. I plan on using them again for any and all electrical work. The electrician that came to my house was Chris. If you want a job done right the first time and at a competitive price - use Tomato and ask for Chris.

We are putting one of our houses on sale so we are using services to get it ready. They're excellent, they're cost effective, very good and friendly. We used them a month to a month and a half ago. That was done very well. They fixed the problem and I thought the cost was very inexpensive for what they did. We spent around $550. It was quite reasonable. They came on time, they did what they said they would, they're friendly and they are reasonable in accommodating any issues. They know what they're doing.

I had three separate pull chain lights in the unfinished part of our basement and wanted them put on one switch. Bob the owner was very responsive to emails as I had not discussed installing new lights when I first emailed them but just wanted them put on one switch and later thought about changing the lights themselves. It snowed and threw off their scheduling(which was totally understandable) and as such they came earlier than expected but Bob called beforehand and made sure that would be ok. Paul was the technician and gave great advice regarding size and number of fixtures and was very careful about putting down floor coverings and cleaning up after himself. He had to disconnect one light due to finding the wiring was illegal(done before we owned the house) but moved it and rewired it and left extra wiring so we could easily move things when we eventually finish the basement. He also checked all the other wiring in that half of the basement and made sure everything was up to code which I appreciated since I had already paid someone to rewire the basement years ago as it was obvious there was some illegal looking wiring but they had obviously missed some things. He also noted one fixture on the other side of the basement wasn't working and checked it for us that turned out to just a bulb issue. Overall I was very pleased with the service and thoroughness of the work and Paul's attentiveness to cleaning up and being careful of tracking in snow on my floors which I always appreciate.

As always, Tomato Electric did a great job. Paul, who has done other work for us arrived punctually, quickly and efficiently installed the camera. It's a pleasure dealing with Tomato Electric and, in particular, Paul who is not only super confident but is also a very nice and good person.

These guys are awesome. They've been to our house 3 different times, 2 of them for two different portions of the same job. Youssif is super nice, professional, and knows his stuff. They came on time, did an excellent job and were efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and were a dream to work with. Youssif even gave me lots of great advice while he was there. I will never use another electrician in the DC area after using these guys. Blown away! Thank you!

Paul arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. He worked quickly and efficiently and did a great job. Paul installed Ethernet cables to connect 3 of the cameras and power lines for the 4th camera (wifi connected) and infra red illuminator. He mounted the cameras on our patio and deck. I highly recommend Paul and Tomato Electric - they are topnotch professionals who do excellent work. PS - A few weeks ago Paul installed a ceiling fan in our living room and, once again, did a terrific job.

I was referred to Bob and Tomato Electric by a friend and knew they were good at what they do. I checked them out on here almost as an after thought and seeing all the high marks I knew I had chosen the right folks to help me out. After getting into a renovation of a 1950 kitchen, looks like the first major renovation for it since being built, I looked at my brother who was helping me and we both thought it would be best to hire a real pro to make sure everything was in its proper place and up to Maryland code. So I called Bob Monday morning and he picked right up. I told him about the project and how far along we were, insulation, drywall and cabinets are in place, and I was worried some of it may have to come down for them to do the job properly. He was great and put me at ease and told me that was very doubtful. I got lucky along with them being so easy to work with, one of his guys was going to be in my area of town that morning on an estimate and he could stop by right after. They were there at 10 am on the nose! Mike came in, I asked a few questions, he was very informative, professional and nice as he informed me what all I needed and why to meet the areas of proper code. I received the estimate the next day in an email. I had them go ahead and price out a couple of additional items for later install work but decided to stick with just the kitchen work for now. I spoke to Bob the day I received to estimate to try and work out a good day to come in and do the work, due to the July 4th holiday and their normal workload we were working on a consolidated schedule. But low and behold he was able to get me set up on Saturday. The guys showed up right on time and were very nice. I walked them through the kitchen, explained what all was in the estimate, it all seemed pretty straight forward to them. I have a small kitchen with an open attic above for relatively easy access for them to operate. They walked me through what all they would be doing and roughly how long they thought it would take them, so I went outside and started on my weekend chores so they could do their work without me in the way. Sure enough, they finished darn close to the time they thought it would take. They cleaned up nicely and left my kitchen better than it was before they came in. They guys were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I will use their services again! Well after I pay off my kitchen renovation.

They were terrific. They did everything we wanted them to. Joe was pleasant and helpful, answered any questions I had, and worked neatly and well. The price was amazing for all the work they did and the time they spent. I gave a B for punctuality since there was an emergency (hospital needed) and they couldn't come the time originally scheduled. They did call back and rescheduled for the following day, so I thought they dealt with it well. They were a few minutes early when they came for the work, so I think that is more typical.

The technician was very personable and knowledgeable, showed on time for the appointment, and completed a lot of work in a very short amount of time.

Technician arrived on time and after a quick evaluation of our issues (several outlets that were not working correctly) got straight to work repairing and replacing several outlets. One needed extra attention because it had bad wiring but it didn't cost us any extra as it was all covered under the 2 hour big deal. The technician was professional, knowledgable, courteous and on time. I would use Tomato Electric again in a heartbeat.

They did their job and put in a new thermometer for me. Unfortunately after they left another light in the house stopped working, but I have yet to follow up with them on that.

Overall the job went excellent. I would recommend them. This was the second time I used them.
