The technician came out Easter morning to clear it up. He was punctual, courteous, and effective. He documented the root cause of the problem. Thomas E. Clark provided an estimate within two working days to fix the root cause. I was impressed with the attention to detail and willingness to take extra time to make sure I understood the problem.

I am a native Washingtonian, and my family previously had used and liked Thomas E Clark for over 20 years. In particular, the technician named Jason is stellar. Their admin staff and scheduling has recently gone through the tubes, and I they are not worth the hassle. I recently placed multiple calls, emails, etc both during office hours and during off hours requesting an appointment with Jason. In spite of spending a lot of time repeating the story and my request, they failed to ever contact me. The people who pick up the phone initially fail to identify themselves, but are actually dispatchers who are utterly clueless and inept. A couple of weeks ago, and only after voicing my complaints, the dispatchers finally put me directly through the HVAC dept, and they scheduled an appointment with me between 8-9 AM this morning this AM. He failed to show up, and after multiple wait times with the dispatcher and my members of the HVAC staff, I ultimately spoke with an exceptionally unprofessional rude person by the name of Mike Hartmann. He is rude, horrible, and terrible. As a result, I will never even bother with Thomas E Clark in the future.

It took a few hours (a bit over 3) and required an extended snake (100') but it seemed $250 per hour for one person with a well equipped truck was still good for them. However, when presented with the bill, it was over $900 and the surcharge was for the extra equipment (which was on the truck) and removing some material that got caught up in the snake, or similar. I called the shop and complained that nothing seemed extraordinary about the job which was already on the pricey side and that the surcharge was against their "per job" pricing. They removed it grudgingly so I'm back to feeling like I paid a premium but avoided being totally fleeced. There are enough plumbers out there that it seems customer service and fairness should still be the norm. Unfortunately, I really hesitate to recommend.

Told me it would cost $325 to cut a hole in my ceiling b/4 the work even began. When I tried to make up for the cost of the service call by asking for another service to be performrd I was told it would cost over $250 to snake a drain.

Excellent. Came within 2 hours. Finished quickly. No problems since.

The work was great. My only complaint was that the only faucets they carry on the trucks are quite expensive, but it is higher quality than your typical Home Depot or Lowes purchase. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to use!

Execellent quality of work and very professional

Called this service provider, and the provider said that he would not be able to come out without a a charge and he would not tell me the charge to have them take a look at the work and put a camera in there and all that. They said that that cost would come off of the end bill. I asked what would happen if I did not accept the bid and they let me know that the original charge would still stand. I don't think that is good customer service. I think that Angie's List should remove them from the Super Service Award, as they don't have Super Service.

Working with this company was easy from beginning to end. The scheduling staff were helpful and the repairmen were courteous and professional. They helped us get a rebate for our furnace.

I was impressed how Chris Hartman with Thomas E. Clark plumbing was polite and professional. He treated my home like it was his. He would wipe down things and clean up the floors at each location in the home. He would let me watch him work and ask me if I was satisfied with everything. I would tell him everything looks great and your doing a fine job. He gave me the bill and it was $1493. Exactly what he estimated. He said I get a 2 year warranty on all parts and labor. I was totally impressed with Thomas E. Clark Plumbing. I highly recommend them.

They didn't charge me at all because they were actually the ones...I just recently bought a new house, they were the ones who initially installed the furnace. Some switch had gotten triggered and as a result the furnace wasn't turning on. It took the guy like 3 minutes and he said, 'Well actually you shouldn't have been able to engage this switch. So it's actually our fault so we are not going to charge you for this'. The technician who came out was very professional, courteous and they were very responsive.

I liked the prompt service and professional expertise... and although I knew and agreed to the price upfront, I still thought the price was too high.

Called the plumber first thing in the morning and was able to get a same day window between 12-4. The plumber called on their way, and arrived a few minutes early. He was very professional and explained the different options I had to resolve the issue, including their price. He answered all my plumbing questions, even those not about the specific issue. Very polite and left the area clean. I was between a B and C rating for the price - yes, it was expensive for the service, but the problem was solved the same day I called. I consider it "Fair". Also, courteous service counts for something in my book. Plumbing never seems to be cheap. I would hire them again.

Our water heater stopped working on a holiday weekend. The repair work was completed within 3 hours of me making the call. The plumber was very professional and cleaned our water heater burner plate in a jiffy. The work went quickly so the plumber removed the service appointment fee and the holiday weekend surcharge.

The tech told me it was going to be $100, so I told him I was told $90. We called and spoke to the same lady, and she said that condos are $100. I told her that she told me $90, so they agreed to that rate. The gentleman said it would be $429 for a leak check, but not for a repair. He said he was very confident that it was a leak, so I asked why it would cost that much to check something that he was sure of. I was not comfortable with whatever price they would have charged in addition to the check price for the actual repair.

We use t Clark for plumbing and heat/air. They are incredibly responsive and explain process well but most of all they are honest. Every technician has always made sure to ask about warranty and if I did not know he wld check with his office their competence and thoroughness shows up every time which in my mind is the best reflection on the owner and management there is. I highly recommend Thom. Clark once again.

iSecond floor heating closet that contains the HVAC system for the upper and lower level of the home. More than enough room for the replacement

Terrible. Technician insisted it was baby wipes, even though no baby in house for 45 years. Also, for userous charges $1200 for 10 minutes work, they do not clean out any interior pipes where he insisted baby wipes were clogging system. Best part was, that somehow epoxy used to seal pipe got splattered over two walls of basement, so it looks like excrement is splattered everywhere except it is permanent. When I asked them to come fix it, they denied responsibility but charged for a service call.
