Everything went fine.

We wanted to install a deadbolt high on the door that joined my husband's office to the garage, primarily because our 4 year old son was opening the door without us knowing, but we also wanted the added security. We already had Medeco locks and keys on our exterior doors -- all use the same key, which is convenient. So for this next installation, we wanted to be able to use the same key again, which is why we called Sure-Fit in the first place (they have our Medeco key on file.) I called first to get a quote and to see if they would accept the Angie's List discount I found from a previously unhappy customer -- they said yes. Michael came on time and after examining the door, he came upon an issue with our door not being thick enough for the bracket to fit, and a problem with installing the type of lock at the height we wanted. He gave some other options and we finally settled on a regular keybolt using a different key (not Medeco). He ended up having to place it at a lower height. All in all, Michael was very patient as he worked through the problems, listened to our issues, and waited for us to make a decision. He gave great alternative suggestions that ultimately saved us money in the end and solved our problem.

Sure-Fit was very professional, came on time, explained my options for replacing locks and other hardware. I was able to change locks so they all work with one key. I would use this company again.

We had a terrible experience with this company. There was poor communication between the locksmith and the main office. As a result, the locksmith arrived with inadequate materials on multiple occasions. The locks were keyed incorrectly several times. They ended up coming no fewer than 8 times to our home, which was a tremendous waste of our time (and theirs!). When I requested additional keys there was very poor follow through, and I had to call several times over several weeks. Eventually the supervisor called and I got the keys within a few days. The office person told me in March that she found a slip under her desk dated from January with a request for the keys....At one point the technician even said to me that the office staff really didn't know what they were doing. One of the door nobs that was supposedly repaired was faulty. The door would swing right open in the wind because the latch didn't work correctly. I had read good reviews and so was very disappointed with this company. I would definitely not use them again or recommend them to others.

I appreciated that the company had specific staff available to answer questions. Because we are new home owners, we value a company that takes the time to explain their products and services in detail. Though the staffer put me on hold after most questions making the phone call more lengthy (thus the "B" grade instead of "A" for professionalism), I appreciated that she was willing to get correct information for me. There was some confusion regarding labor charges on top of service charges, but a second phone call cleared that up. By the time we figured the service call fee, labor charges and materials, the project cost was far beyond what we were willing to spend. We ended up not using the company because we found a more cost effective option to meet our needs.

I called Sure-Fit hoping they could come out the same day, which they did. They re-keyed my locks in about a half an hour. The bill was high because it was emergency rush service. I had just discovered that a key had gone missing. They did not properly re-attach my front doorknob, so I had to call them back out to fix it. Also, the duplicate keys are a bit stiff in the locks but that's probably because they need breaking-in.

The safe guy was very knowledgeable and professional. It took about 2 hours to complete. My only complaint would be the communication from the main office to myself and then to the safe guy. My messages/calls went unreturned and if I hadn't called to confirm the appointment on the day of, I'm not sure it would have happened, but once the technician arrived I couldn't have been more pleased by the work. For a couple hours worked $475 seemed a bit high, but they told me it was their flat rate for my type of safe lock replacement. The first person I spoke with from Sure Fit explained that he could give me an estimate over the phone when I provided the brand and serial number for the safe and that it could be anywhere from $300 to $450. That turned out to be untrue the next day.

I was able to schedule the service via email. A follow up email was sent after the work was done, from the owner, to assure that I was satisfied, as well. The service, timeliness, cost, and quality was superb. The work was done very quickly. "No Muss, no fuss". I wasn't even late for work, because of the prompt arrival and quick work. My preferences were asked, and noted in choosing the types of locks, and keys. I will hire them again, when I have more work in this area to be done in the future.

This company is very reliable. Apparently, the old mailbox lock wasn't even up to code, and they changed that for me. I am very thankful, because I had no idea. They make a person feel more safe in their home, and they are always dependable.

I used them before and was pleased, so when I needed locks rekeyed I called them first. They answered the phone promptly and courteously, scheduled an appointment efficiently, showed up on time, and completed the requested work quickly and without hassle. I did not seek estimates from other companies and was a bit surprised at the cost, but overall was pleased with the result.
