Description of Work: Goodness do not use this provider. We had to fight and argue with the 'office' all the time. The carpenter once he arrived was good but he had to basically beg the office to provide the supplies he needed to complete the job. Awful firm to deal with. AWFUL.

Victor was no doubt a very nice guy. His reasonable price lured us in. But, we soon found out that he was in over his head when it came to managing the work. Victor provided us with estimates that were way off. He said that permits would take weeks, when they actually took months. He gave us misinformation on building standards/codes. When we asked his subs about the information he provided, they refuted his answers. He got to the the point where he did not want us to talk to his subs at all. He tried to use inferior building products. When we confronted him about them, he said that products that we expected would cost more. We had to split the costs on copper plumbing. As a homeowner, I assumed this was standard product. We constantly met with him about disagreements between him and his subs. We asked for weekly work status meetings, but they were few and not very informative. He mismanaged money and eventually could not finish the project because of spending over-runs. In the dead of winter with our house not insulated, we terminated our contract. Work was not complete and he needed more money to complete much work that was supposed to be completed prior to the next drop. The amount quoted above only represents what was paid for work completed..not the entire project. He may work fine on small projects, but do not waste your time and money on large projects.
Description of Work: The work involved was an addition to a 1950's home. He was supposed to add 3 bedrooms 2 baths and a family room. A kitchen and powder room were to be relocated. Victor was to hire an architect to develop plans, secure all permits and intermediate and final inspections, perform framing, drywall, floors, HVAC, electrical and plumbing and finish work.
They responded quickly to my call. Victor came in and gave me an estimate and told me everything they'd do. I had gotten a couple of other estimates, but they were higher and their reps were kind of patronizing. So I decided on Remodeling USA. They did the work very quickly, the drywall is beautiful - and the apartment actually looked better after they finished than it did before I first moved in. When I had them back to install the spiral staircase, it was actually sort of stressful because it was just a couple of months before my wedding. They came in again and did the work quickly, cleaned up fairly well each day after they finished, and created a custom wood and wrought iron railing for the staircase. They finished on time and cleaned up well behind themselves.
Description of Work: My basement apartment had been flooded due to an extensive overflow (running water for hours!) from the toilet in the bathroom above. The water went through the walls of the bathroom, part of the living room, bedroom and closet; through the ceiling of half of the basement apartment; and under most of the carpet. Remodeling USA came in after my insurance company dried the place out and removed all of the destroyed carpet, ceilings and drywall. Remodeling USA completed stripping out all damaged ceiling and drywall; installed insulation, drywall and baseboards in the bedroom, living room and bathroom; installed new ceiling drywall in all three rooms; painted everything; and installed carpet throughout. I later had them come back to install a spiral staircase to connect that apartment to the rest of the house when my family expanded. They demolished an existing coat closet in the main entryway of the house, cut a hole in the floor of the 1st level, and installed the beautiful staircase.
