Quality Air was great! They came when they said they would, did exactly what was needed and were extremely neat as well. Our ducts were a mess and Brendan, our technician, did a great job. He explained everything to me as he went along, which I appreciated. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to others. It is an expensive project but one that we had to do.

Joe arrived on-time and ready to get to work. He clearly explained what work would be performed. He proceeded to remove all vent covers and use his specialty equipment to dislodge and then suck out 20 years of dust and mold from the HVAC system. He provided before and after photos that prove the results of this service. Very professional and personable, Joe is a very hard worker and a nice guy too.

Joe and Luis came to give us a quote on cleaning out our dryer vent. The duct work had all been cleaned 2 years ago by a different company, but our dryer was not drying well. Considering that we line dry during warmer months, it was more like 18 months of use. They were able to clean everything out at the price of their Angie's List deal, so we went ahead w/the service. The cleaned out the lint trap on the dryer itself and the duct work. They also quoted us for changing our dryer to vent to the side, so we can eliminate one 90 degree turn and increase the efficiency and reduce clogging issues. They will be coming back to do that work. The only issue was they arrived past the given window. Traffic in this area is very heavy and that is understandable. It worked out fine as I am a stay-at-home mom, but that might be an issue for others.

I scheduled an appointment with Karen to have our air ducts cleaned and our dryer vent cleaned. I didn't even think to ask for an inspection of the ducts first because my husband and I have lived in this home for over two years now and have allergies / sinus problems - so I just thought "let's do it". So I scheduled the cleaning. Brandon and Luis from the company came to my home today to do the services. We did a walk through of the home to locate ALL of the supply and return vents so that they could all be assessed and cleaned. During the walk through I explained that one bedroom did not have carpet because there was water puddling from an ice dam we had this winter and a little mold grew in the corner as well. We talked about this for my concern of mold in the air ducts from running the dehumidifier in the room - possibly circulating mold spores. After setting up and starting the cleaning of the air ducts Brandon informed me that my ducts were actually very clean already, and he didn't see the need for them to be cleaned by them. Brandon did recommend the application of a fungicide to the air ducts so that any mold, tiny living organisms, etc. would be wiped out (especially with my concern from that bedroom). I try not to use harsh chemicals in my home and was concerned about the fungicide product they would be applying. Brandon explained the product (called Benefect), and then even gave me the bottle of the stuff so that I could read the ingredients and look it up online. Awesome. The active ingredients (which are usually the harshest in cleaning products) in Benefect is thymol (from thyme oil) and a great clue for me that it was safe is that it isn't even required to have a safety precautionary label on the product and is not required for food surfaces to be rinsed after using the product! I thanked Brandon for being honest about the ducts not needing to be cleaned (most companies would not have been) and gave him the go-ahead to apply the Benefect fungicide. He also explained that he would inspect the blower and evaporator coil and show me what he finds. Upon doing that, Brandon found fungus growth on the coil and housing of the coil - which he showed me. For that he recommended a different product that gets foamy and can penetrate the thick coils much better than the Benefect fungicide that gets applied to the ducts. I was happy to agree to that after seeing the growth! Dryer vent cleaning went well. Everything went well. I also would like to note some other things that mean a lot when someone is working in your home. Brandon did an amazing job with answering my many many questions, and he did so with kindness and much detail. Both Brandon and Luis were great with my dog - during conversation about her, Brandon even told me about healthy dog food that he has had great success with for his dog. Both guys happily took off their shoes at the door when I mentioned I was concerned about my carpet being soiled. They asked questions and gave recommendations about a second opinion for the bedroom that had a water problem last winter. Brandon recommended an air purifier for our bedroom, gave tons of info about what was good and bad with different purifiers, and even looked at the one I had picked out online, planning to buy. I felt that Brandon and Luis really cared about our home and our health (and my dog's health). I cannot imagine better customer service than what I received today. I wish all companies had this level of ethic, kindness and care.

Joe and Victor arrived on time and cleaned the ducts without a hitch. They provided before and after photos at my request and made recommendations for upkeep after the job was done. They also checked my dryer duct work in case it required cleaning, too, and pronounced it clean and not in need of service. I will readily use Quality Air Solutions in the future.
