Description of Work: Quality sent two service people to clean our AC ducts. They also replaced the dryer vent which was no longer to code. They were knowledgeable, polite, worked efficiently and did a great job cleaning up before they left.

Description of Work: The gentleman arrived on time and explained what he was going to do and how he would do it. He worked methodically and thoroughly, opening each vent in the floors or walls. What most impressed me was that I asked him if my laundry outtake vent needed to be cleaned (an additional $150, which I was willing to pay because I've read horror stories about house fires that started because of a dirty or clogged laundry vent), and he took a look at it. He said, "It looks fine. You don't need that service now." It's not often that a service provider will be so honest as to say the customer doesn't need one more of his services

Description of Work: The Heating and AC company that services our HVAC system found mold in the heat pump located in our attic(we have a two-zone system). They immediately tried to sell us an overpriced UV light unit and claimed that would be all that we needed to eliminate the problem. We were skeptical, so we contacted a highly rated mold inspection company (Mold Gone -- also on Angie's List). They said that much more than installation of a UV light was needed to eliminate the problem properlyl and permanently, and recommended that we schedule an appointment with Air Quality Solutions, "the only company we recommend," for a free inspection and proposal for abatement. Tony from Air Quality Solutions came to the house and spent at least one hour analyzing the situation. Then, he showed us what he found and explained the problem and possible solutions. He gave us an excellent education, and confirmed his analysis with solid evidence. Then, he created an estimate with line items on the scope of work with different scenarios -- so that we weren't pressured to purchase all the services he offered. He explained that, if we were interested in purchasing any UV light, thoroughly cleaning the air handler and ductwork (to rid it of any mold that may have migrated into the ductwork) should be done prior to the installation of that UV light. Everything he told us made sense and could be verified, so we opted for complete cleaning and installation of the UV light -- to prevent the formation of any mold in the air handler and ductwork in the future. (It also made sense because our ductwork had not been cleaned in at least 20 years!) | |Vent cleaning is an unregulated industry full of scams. Air Quality Solutions is one of the few certified companies with the equipment and knowledge to professionally clean air systems completely and safely. The technicians who worked on our system were highly trained and very professional. They worked for an entire day cleaning zone by zone, and then fogged the air handler and ducts with an environmentally safe, non-toxic solution -- the same solution used in hospitals -- to eliminate the mold (as well as other germs and bacteria). | |The air in our home has never been cleaner, and we have less dust on a regular basis. As new owners of the house, we had done some renovation last year that included re-painting, sanding, and floor refinishing. Dust generated by these projects was reason enough to clean the ducts. The threat of a black mold infestation in the ventilation system was a wake-up call and "sealed the deal." | |I would highly recommend this company for all services provided. If you have a possible black mold issue or are interested in having your ductwork cleaned, call them for a free estimate. They also sell and install UV lights (for a much lower price than most HVAC companies). What's not to like?

Description of Work: Cleaned all in/out vents in our 3800 sf house. Had not been done since house was built 12 years ago. Was expensive but considering large number of vents, it was worth it. No add-on selling except suggestion to clean dryer vent which we did not need. Very professional young man who showed us the results and said it was normal for a house this size.

Description of Work: Based on a recommendation to clean my air ducts from a mold remediation guy I scheduled Brandon to clean my ducts... When he arrived I asked him to verify that I did need the work done because it had been just a year since they had been cleaned. He took a look and said honestly he could not recommend another cleaning at this time. He did think the coils of my air handler needed cleaning and recommended a home remedy I could do for pennies. He also spend some time answering questions I had about certain mold related conditions in my house. I found him to be a remarkably honest, generous, caring, and well informed mold professional anyone should feel confident in working with.
