They were overly expensive. They were much expensive than everywhere we view, every place that we received. They were very aggressive and they called multiple times a day. They tied their best to get us to going to bet to get the roof that they want us to get. They have their own financing plan which was really high and they were desperately trying to get us to go with them even though we were telling them that we don't have any interest of that kind of thought and we got a lot of phone call from them. The guy that I interacted with were polite but aggressive and showed up late. It was just not a pleasant experience..

I was approached by a field agent to get a free estimate, and knew already that I needed to get some work done on my house. I met with Mike Stahl who went through my house to give an estimate for the windows, trim work, gutters, attic insulation and window boxes, which are all things that I've been looking to get completed. I decided to get my attic insulation done with the Solar-Eclipse system with blow in insulation at a higher R level. All of my questions were answered by Mike, who was very knowledgeable. I received a phone call from the field manager and we scheduled a time for the work to be completed. I was told the guys would be here from 8-10am, they arrived more on the 10am side, but got started working quickly after arriving. We had to wait a little bit for the other half of the group to come back from a different job, but while we were waiting the main guy that was working completed going around and caulking the hose bibs and other areas that air could come in. He also went around to install outlet insulators to all exterior walls. The other workers arrived and the new Nest thermostat was installed quickly and we got that setup while the others were working on getting the insulation hoses setup to start blowing in the insulation. Once all the work was completed I was able to check the final product. I am very happy with the work and I look forward to working with Power Home Remodeling Group in the future.

We had a very positive experience with this project in all respects. Our "remodeling consultant, Jeremy Siddall, was very helpful and gave us an extremely good deal on this big project. As I said above, in addition to removing and installing new shingles, our roof needed to be "redecked". This means that the old plywood base, which was in bad shape and no longer a thickness that would be up to "code", had to be removed and replaced with a thicker plywood. As an incentive we were not charged for the plywood. There were several other discounts given to keep the costs down. We received an extremely good deal. Also, at NO time was there any pressure made on us to buy. Having gotten estimates from other contractors, we decided to go with PRG. A day or so later, a PRG project specialist, Matt, came to measure and determine the amount of materials which would be needed for the project. He was friendly and very professional and on time. Our project was scheduled for a week later. The day before doing the roof, the materials were delivered to the house so that the crew would have everything they needed when they started to work. The crew arrived on time on July 8th, ready to work. Matt (I mentioned him earlier) oversaw several nearby projects along with ours. He stayed in close contact with our project team. Throughout the project we had onsite project foreman named Michael. He was here the entire time and coordinated things with the workers. He was excellent. In addition to supervising the project, he explained everything to us that the crew was doing. Michael had a very good manner with the customer! The crew actually installing our new roof was excellent!!! Their workmanship was excellent and they really took pride in what they were doing. Michael explained that he has worked with this same crew for several years. Everyone seemed to work together so well. I saw no "loafing" at any time. Everyone was on task 100%. After completion of our project, everything was cleaned up really well. All trash was hauled away. We have only found three nails that were missed. I consider this to be a super job of cleaning up. 6/6/15 Update: Power Home Remodeling has contacted us twice since installation to make sure we are still satisfied with our new roof. Needless to say, we are very pleased with our new roof.

We are taking bids for a ton of home work: new roof, siding, gutters, trim wrapping windows and a new patio. A couple of Power Home guys showed up at my door and I decided to let them throw their hat in the ring for the non-patio work. I answered their questions and scheduled an appointment. They were due to arrive Friday. I got a call Thursday from someone whom I thought would just confirm the time. That's when this guy got pushy. I told him several times that it would just be me, but he kept going back to my wife and how the company "wants to make sure we are all on the same page." I couldn't seem to get him to change his talking point, so getting frustrated, I said "Look, you're hassling me. I don't need the hassle. Let's just cancel it, okay." He hung up. Here is my take, for what its worth. I don't need some pushy salesman trying to dominate the conversation. I've been taking bids and none of those guys had any issues with just meeting me. I work from home and it is simply easier this way. This is also the second time my wife and I have done this work, so we're pretty comfortable with me taking the lead on this. I don't need someone hassling me when I've said several times that it is just me. With respect to the hanging up, that cinches it for me. If these guys act like that BEFORE the contract, when they are trying to get this very substantial amount of business, I can only imagine how they would behave after they have my money. Pushy. Unprofessional. My gut tells me I dodged a bullet. [Update] I read Ray's response. Here's mine: Your guy hung up in my face. That's not MY frustration. That's your salesperson. Your training. Your company. It speaks volumes to me that your response didn't address that. Second, my wife doesn't need to be there to hear your sales pitch about how you do things the "right" way. Everyone says that. You're not special that way. We've done remodeling before and both she and I are comfortable with me talking the initial meeting on this since I work from home. If you cannot accommodate that very simple request, then I'm very wary about the other facets of your business. No one else had any problem with this. Just you. I appreciate the offer of further conversation, but that won't be necessary.

Our apologies for the frustration you experienced when dealing with one of our representatives - that's certainly not the feeling we intend to impart on homeowners. I'd like to explain why we insist on both homeowner's being present during the estimate so that you may better understand our thinking, because ultimately this policy was created with the customer in mind. We take the education of our customers seriously - at Power, we only do things "the right way" - which means our product quality and installation processes are second to none. When making a decision about the renovation of your home, it's important to us (and important to our customers) to understand how we are different from other contractors and specifically what we do to separate ourselves from the competition. This is something we ask of all of our customers - it's a practice we've been using for over 20 years and we feel strongly that it leads to the best remodeling experience possible, as all interested parties are fully aware of what to expect during the project's installation. If you'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me directly. Yours in Service, Ray Lodato Customer Advocacy Manager Power Home Remodeling Group 610.874.5000 x 2260

Similar to some of the other posts, I scheduled a roofing estimate with this company. While scheduling the appointment they wanted to ensure that both my husband and I would be present and I did not think anything of it at the time. Now I realize they did not want to do their hard sale twice. After a 3 hour long review and presentation (which we cut short) we received the cost of $26,060 for our 2,650 SF roof. When we informed the salesmen we would think about it as we got other quotes we were offered the “first day discount” of $19,458 for which we had to sign up before the salesman left our house. Having worked in and with construction for 15 years I told him I did not like his sales tactic and asked him to leave. A week later I received a call from the main office explaining that the salesman explained it wrong and they would give me the lower price good for a year and a manager would come by and drop it off. I explained to the main office that I did not appreciate the sales tactic used. Once again when they confirmed the appointment they wanted both my husband and I present – I found that odd since I thought they were just dropping off the new estimate. When the manager arrived we were given another 20 minute sales pitch and another discount, the “flexible install date option” of $16,678 for the same roof that was originally $26,060 - but I had to accept it before he left. I was furious and told him so. I was informed that they close most of their sales this way and have no intention of changing their tactics. So, if you use Powers for your roof, I recommend waiting and then waiting again for their better offer. They are also not the only company selling this same system with the same warranty.

Contractors were punctual and fast, the roof was done in a matter of hours. The roof looks great and gutter re-routing has helped get some water away from my home. The only issue I had was that I don't really like the door to door solicitation, does anyone? But I went ahead with them because I felt the project needed to be done, though not as critically as the salesman may have believed. I also felt that the company was very persistent initially to get me to sign the contract, get the work done and get paid, but when it came to following up after the project I did not have my call returned about scheduling the project manager to inspect the work. I was kind of disappointed that there was not a project manager available to inspect the roof and gutters right after they were completed and that much more disappointed that they never sent someone to do that final inspection. I did not know that it had not been inspected per se until I got a call from them trying to set up a time to inspect. Either way, they called me once and I called them back because I assumed this final inspection was necessary to validate my warranty, but I never heard from them again and a few weeks later I received my warranty paperwork in the mail and also my bill. I liked that they offered financing. I loved their 50 year warranty. I like my roof, but I would probably not use them in the future. Hopefully I won't have to!

The gutter cleaners alerted me to some soft spots on my roof. A neighbor had used this company to replace their roof with good results, so I decided to get an estimate. The consultant arrived on time and presented me with detailed information on the materials and methods that the company uses in roof replacement. I liked the quality of the products and contracted them to do the work. The install had to be rescheduled once due to storms. The wood and shingles were delivered a few days prior to install and placed in my driveway. On the day of install, the large crew arrived at 8 and had the job done by 2. Neighbors across the street watched the process and remarked on the quality of the job. The crew protected my plants and cleaned up thoroughly. I have yet to find a stray nail in the lawn. The following week, the eShield crew came to install the insulation in the attic. The job was complicated by the insulation and air exchange unit already in that space. They completed the job and cleaned up after. Later that day, an inspector from POWER stopped by to check on the quality of the install and get my feedback on the projects. I was pleased with the way the job was done. The roof has a 50 year guarantee, so I should not have to replace the roof again. I keep good records on my energy usage and only time will tell if the new insulation reduces my electric bill.
Description of Work: They removed the old shingles and wood from my 50 year old roof and replaced them with the new product:Timberline Lifetime shingles, thicker plywood, drip edge, deck armor, Pro Start starter strip, flashing, and ice and water shield. Inside the attic, eShield insulation was installed.
A crew of four arrived a little late the first day but stayed late to hit their milestones for the project. They arrived with everything they needed to accomplish the job. The crew was very professional and answered all of my questions. The project manager came by everyday to ensure the job was progressing well and I didn't have any questions or concerns. The whole job took 2.5 days. When the job was done, the entire crew did a walk-around and made sure my property was clean of all debris and anything they moved was back where it was originally. Couldn't have asked for a better group of men. I am very satisfied with the final results and would not hesitate to use Power Remodeling again.
Description of Work: Removed existing siding. Installed Raindrop underlay. Installed form-fit insulation. Installed vinyl siding with all trim pieces and corners. This included covering window and door casings and the chimney.

I feel like they are really pushy. When we declined they went across the street to talk to our neighbors. They may do a good job but they charge a lot money for what they do. They're young guys and are very charming but it came off as a little sketchy.
Description of Work: They wanted to replace our roof for $33,000.00 when they first came out. They didn't go up on the roof at all but from going into the attic and pointing out a potential problem and gave us this quote. When we declined they continued to drop the price all the way down to around $18,000.00. When we had another roofer come out to check what Power Home Remodeling had told about as a concern and they explained to us that it was nothing to worry about. We had gotten another quote from this secondary company that was around $6,000-7,000.

Response from Power Home Remodeling
In response, I'd first like to address the price discrepancy between roofing quotes. The warranty Power offers for the Timberline Ultra HD shingle is the 'System Plus' warranty - a warranty we're able to offer because we only utilize GAF products throughout the installation of a complete roofing system. This warranty lasts for 50 years, is transferable to the next homeowner, and covers all costs involved in a potential replacement - removal, labor, and materials. In addition to a significantly longer warranty, our guarantee extends to the entirety of the roof - do you have an issue with the underlayment? The flashing? The ridge vents? We'll replace it for free. The warranty you received as a part of your roof will not cover the entirety of the roof - only shingles. In order for the warranties of the shingles to be valid, you need to use other GAF components within the roofing system - we utilize GAF Weather Watch and Water Shield, GAF Deck Armor, GAF Pro Start Starter Strip, GAF Cobra Ridge Vents and GAF TimberTex cap shingles, which meaning every aspect of your roof is covered with a premium roofing product. If your roof does not consist of these products, there's a good chance your warranty is already voided. In addition to all of this, Power has been awarded Master Elite certification by GAF - their highest installation training certification - and we've recently received "The Gold Circle" Award from the NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association) and the Consumer Protection Excellent Award from GAF for never cutting corners or compromising the quality of our product in order to offer a lower price. We understand our product isn't for everyone - premium products typically are not - but If you want to purchase a roof that you will never have to worry about or invest another dime into - our roofing system is the route you want to choose, hands down. Power does not compromise or cut corners in relation to its quality - when you choose Power, you choose peace of mind. In relation to the pricing structure, the reason we're able to offer such a steep discount on the first visit is simply a matter of efficiencies. We visit hundreds of customers everyday. By offering our customers a steep discount for an agreement that evening, we effectively eliminate costs from the potential project. It is simply more cost-effective for us to come to an agreement on cost if our customers are ready to move forward. And if we can come to an agreement, we push those cost savings right on to the customer for their trust in our products and team. At the same time, we realize asking customers to make a commitment on a large project in one evening is not something everyone can do. Therefore, we believe we offer other cost-effective options that allow you to consider Power while you schedule additional estimates are sit on the quote until you are ready down the line. We are extremely confident in our products, warranties and level of service and while we are transparent that we are not the cheapest game in town, we feel our customers will ultimately choose quality over the lowest bid. I was first impressed with the clarity of their sales presentation. There wasn't a hint of snakeoil in the whole thing! They seemed wholly confident of the quality of their products and weren't selling anything they couldn't guarantee. They also didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want or need. The next thing that I really enjoyed about working with PHRG was the friendly professionalism of each and every one of their staff, from the project managers to the guys that did the installations. When the QA guy said he was coming to check on progress and my satisfaction with the project, he showed up and listened. When the project manager said he was coming to check on the installations, he showed up and listened. When I would walk around the worksite and ask if something could be changed, or more caulk could be applied, whoever was working ALWAYS said "Sure, show me where." When light fixtures had to be moved, the guys on the crew moved wiring, checked the connections and cut down and refinished the trim boxes on their own initiative to make it fit and make sure it was working when they finished. After all the work they did, they cleaned up everything. There were no scraps of siding, no nails or screws, no wads of caulk left in my yard. All the work was done, because they came and they worked everyday, all day, including one day on a weekend. When these guys say that they aren't finished with the project until the owner is not "satisfied" but "happy" with it - they mean it. And they all repeat this motto when you ask for something - from the top of management to the guys who did the extra caulking for me! If I have any more work done on my house, my home, I will have it done by this company.
Description of Work: Replaced four sash windows and one large bay window. Removed old vinyl and beadboard siding from the entire house and replaced the moisture barrier material before residing with insulated siding. Covered every single bit of exterior wood framing, including door and window frames, soffits and corners and even porch pillars, with facia material. Framed and placed new oriole covers on the attic vent windows.

I found Power Home Remodeling Group at a the Washington Home Convention. They had come to my house for a free estimate and had a fairly hard sell with a take it or leave it offer. The sales person was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and persistent. The estimate of around $15,000 was for 8 windows and a sliding glass door. The door was not what I needed, but likely the only option that they offered; I needed a half-foux French door. He eventually knocked down the price about 10% and then offered to do less windows to make it a more appealing price. They presented a $17K alternative if I wanted to think about it and get back to them, but the $15K was only available if I signed the deal right there. I may consider them once I get serious about buying; however, I suggest shopping around a bit to make sure you are getting a fair deal.

They were very high pressure; I didn't use them. They were reasonably friendly, but they ended up giving a quote that I had to accept right that minute or it was going to be several thousand dollars more. I didn't like doing business that way. They told that if I signed right then, the price would be $32,000, but if I came back later, it would be $42,000. I like to research before signing anything. They were punctual.

Two young men knocked on our door at dinner time and when we said we didn't want any solicitations they lied and said that they weren't soliciting, and made up a lie about a truck coming to our house tomorrow, which made absolutely no sense. They were rude to us, and made my whole family uncomfortable. They didn't have any official company materials to say who they worked for, and coming to people's houses at dinner time and lying and being rude is a terrible way to try to get new business.

Two days prior to the install date, the company called to confirm the date and time. On the day of the install, the project manager called to confirm they were on the way and gave a rather exact time frame of their arrival. The window installer technicians were very professional, they put down blankets to protect the floors, covered the interior of the windows with plastic/tape to prevent any debris from enter the home during the removal process of the old windows, and cleaned up everything prior to leaving including vacuuming. The whole process took about a whole business day. The new windows look great, and we can already feel a huge temperature difference because the majority of the windows we had replaced were in the front of the house were we get direct sun light from about noon on, and we previously had the original year 1962 windows from when the home was built. We are already considering when we will be able to get the remaining windows replaced, but we will need to save up some money, because obviously windows are cheap.

Just a head's up about Power Home Remodeling Group, folks. A rep of theirs came to the door and offered the free, no obligation estimate. We said we didn't want to take any time off from work for it, so we were given the 5 p.m. appointment time. The day of the appointment, a scheduler calls and wanted to change the time to 12:30 p.m. Because we would be available earlier, we agreed. The sales rep showed up at 1 p.m.—and stayed until 6 p.m.!! I'd read the other reviews on here (thanks, so much for posting them!) so we were already aware that they did a long presentation on their company and it normally took 4 hours for the estimate. We tried to nip that in the bud and told the sales rep the truth—that we were in the initial project planning stages and his was the first estimate we were getting--and we planned on getting several more. Husband had to stop the salesman several times during his rambling presentation to state that he had to "wrap it up and calculate the costs," but the salesman seemed incapable of diverting from his presentation. We also said we didn't want the “If you sign today—the price will drop to X." Just give us your best price from the get go--is what we told the sales rep. We had originally only been interested in house vinyl siding, but since he was here—decided to get a breakdown cost for also replacing the gutters, garage door, attic insulation, and window replacement. After he took all the measurements and spent hours (literally) doing his figuring, he came up with what we think is an *outrageously high price*. Salesman said the prices were good for a year. A few things had a somewhat affordable cost—and the salesman said we could do all the work piecemeal—start out with doing only two windows at a time, etc. (Yeah, I'm sure our HOA would approve that!) So we asked for a copy of the estimate but he refused to give it to us! (Not sure how he thought we could save money for parts of this project without an amount to shoot for.) We said we had a copier, so we could make a copy and return the original to him, but he said "no, I can't do that". That was the end of even considering this company for any of our work. We have never had anyone come to give an estimate on a job and then refuse to give us the estimate in writing! At that point we said No Thanks and Goodbye! Their products may be of high quality—but if their sales rep cannot understand the customer's request for a written estimate—and can't get his estimates calculated in LESS than 5 hours—we won't be hiring them! Just wanted others to know what they're in for if they request the free, no obligation estimate.

Member, Thanks for taking the time to write. Remodeling your home can be an intensely personal and intimate experience - remodeling projects can cost a significant sum of money, you're trusting people to come into your home and treat it as their own and homeowners aren't typically intimately familiar with all the details of our products and what benefits they can provide for your home. This is why we view our consultations as educational opportunities - we want each of our homeowners to be acutely aware of exactly what to expect from our products and services so that we me better serve them and correctly answer any questions they may have. This process is not always as fast as some would expect, but over 20 years of working in this industry has taught us that our customers, by and large, greatly appreciate this time investment, as it results in a better experience on the backend. I'd also like to explain our first visit discount, so that you may better understand our pricing and why it is structured in the fashion it is. The reason we're able to offer such a steep discount on the first visit is simply a matter of efficiencies. We visit hundreds of customers everyday and by offering our customers a steep discount for an agreement that evening, we effectively eliminate costs from the potential project. It is far more cost-effective for us to come to an agreement on cost if our customers are ready to move forward - and if we can come to an agreement, we push those cost savings right on to the customer for their trust in our products and team. They send young people door to door to rope you in to get an estimate. My husband relented and got a call to schedule the estimate. Something came up and my husband called to cancel then told them he would call back to reschedule. The person on the phone was rude and pushed my husband to set a date, then finally said "never mind" and hung up...or so he thought! Apparently, the call was still connected and my husband heard the sales person trash talk my husband and state that my husband was wasting his time, then the call was disconnected. My husband did complain to the manager and was told the scheduler was no longer employed with the company. Then more calls kept coming to schedule the estimate. We were extremely busy with work so couldn't commit. When my husband said he couldn't set an appointment, the scheduler hung up on my husband. Seems like this is part of their training! The next time they called, my husband told them never to contact us again.
Description of Work: Very pushy sales. We're extremely rude.

The gentleman showed up 30 minutes late, he did call to let us know, but as the evening wore on this became more of an issue. Needless to say, we did not realize that we were in for a 4 and a half hour sales pitch. Several time during the presentation we tried to hurry him along, he just seemed to not hurry or clue into the fact that it was well past the time we would like to be talking with him. He was very detailed in his speech and we found several of the product to be of interest but we were not prepared to be talked at for so long. We also felt a lot of pressure to agree to any sort of service with them. We declined several times and each time the price was lowered. We finally found price that was reasonable to use and agreed to set it up soon. This then took another hour to set up. he had difficulty hooking up his computer/printer and asked for tea/water several times. Which then did result in him asking to use the restroom twice! he was a nice man but did not leave our house until after midnight, he arrived at 8pm. Currently we have an appointment for getting replacement gutters so I can not comment on the quality of work but hopefully they will not take as long to do it as the presentation did!
Description of Work: We were looking to get a quote on a new roof and gutters. One day while at home a salesman came to do the door and we set up an appointment for the following evening to talk to someone about the roof and gutters.

Member, Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. In your review, you mentioned the discrepancy in price between the price for our roofing system and the price your local contractors quoted for your roof. Please understand that - in home remodeling, as in everday life - there can be a wide discrepancy in the quality of products and installation techniques, not to mention the strength of the warranty and its respective service division. Our roofing system utilizes only the best materials installed by technicians who are all certified by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association - if you'd like to learn more about the difference that makes for your home in the long and short term, please feel free to visit this YouTube video in which we thoroughly explain all that goes into a Power roof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x772zzgNwOE Furthermore, our roofing system also comes with a 50-year transferable warranty that is backed by a dedicated warranty service division that will service your product - free of charge - whenever there is an applicable issue. We offer this type of peace of mind to our customers in order to deliver on a different type of remodeling experience than what is typically expected. When you choose Power, you choose products and service that you can trust and rely on. If a mistake is made, know that we'll do whatever we can to fix it on the warranty service end in order to make you happy. All of this - obviously - is built into the price, and results in a product and service that most contractors simply can not offer. There are plenty of contractors available who will do the job for less - but none that will service you better. If you'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me personally. The estimate took long, and they were pushy salesman. They would not take we will think about as an answer, negotiating the price is what took the longest. They claimed they have the best windows, but this is not true, we are going with Firehouse windows for the rest of the installation process. Not only are their windows better then Power Home's, but it's at half the price. They convinced us that they are absolutely giving us the lowest price possible. They convinced us they are giving us a 'special' deal since our windows were in such bad shape and not to tell anyone else the price we paid. The installers were great and were the only upside to any of this. They did an excellent job of installing the windows and cleanup and checking after install were all done excellently. But I would not pay twice the price of a lower performing window just for the installation. DO NOT let them convince to buy from them until you have gotten other estimates. Also before you get an estimate from them, get an estimate from Firehouse windows first. Then you have something to bring to the table instead of wasting almost 2 hours talking about price with Power home.

We are very happy with our new roof and siding installed in just two days by the professionals from the Power Home Remodeling Group. Special Thanks to Kelly, Lee Marbury, Steven Del Rio, Randolph B, Robert McDowell, Donna R, and the very able specialists on the roofing and siding installation teams. They installed the roof in a single day (cleaning up as if they had never been there). The next day was rain all day which postponed completion of the project. The day after another team installed all of the soffit and fascia siding in less than a day's time (again cleaning up without leaving a trace of their work). The roof and siding look wonderful. We would not hesitate to refer the Power Home Remodeling Group to anyone looking for truly professional roof or siding installation.

The salesmen were very enthusiastic, if a little too agressive. They spent a lot of time assessing the condition of the existing roof including pointing out the beginnings of problems which could be detected in the attic. The company's recommended products and procedures were explained in great detail. The agressive sales closing was off putting, but the quality of products and the professionalism, promptness, and efficiency of the work as outlined in the contract were the determining factors in selling the job--and I can say that the work was carried out as promised. A large crew arrived as scheduled, three trucks and at least 8 workers with equipment and supplies to protect the landscaping and existing gutters. All the workers wore safety gear and were very efficient. The job was completed in a single day (except that they ran a few shingles short on one vent run, which was completed the next morning). The cleanup was thorough--virtually no debris or nails left in the yard. The company did not require any money up front (that means a credit check, of course). The work was expensive, but this is an architect built house and we wanted quality materials and work and were concerned that the job be completed promptly and between spring rain storms. The work is waranteed (transferable, without prorating). .
Description of Work: Removed old shingles, repaired wood as needed, installed new top quality architectural shingles with heavy duty drip edge, starter strip, permeable underlayment, recessed chimney flashing on 3800 sq. ft., two level hipped roof. Protected plantings around house and cleaned up very thoroughly.

Details, details, details. From the pre-inspection through completion, Power HRG was prompt, courteous, and professional. The living room was actually cleaner when they left than when they arrived! Living in an older home creates a lot of challenges when you take on any remodeling effort. Fortunately, Joe and his team were ready for all of them! They listened to every concern I brought up and did not leave until they were sure that all of my concerns were addressed. The end result is beautiful, as well as much more energy efficient. I definitely plan to work with them again - starting with replacing an old sliding door. Over time, they will be replacing all of my windows and doors, as well as the siding on the back of the house. I look forward to working with them again.

My interaction with them was not great. I could not get in contact with them and coordinate correctly. Their method is kind of strange. You have to call them back, and you cannot talk to anybody. You call back and forth with them for several times. It seemed like I talk to a different person every time, and they were not aware of the person that I talked to last time. They were not really interested. I think they are the people that do the appointments, and get paid on a per appointment basis so they do not worry that you are setting up with somebody else already. That was a little strange. I setup something and they want you to call back and confirm. One day, I talked to somebody and asked how it works. It was 2:30, and we set an appointment at 4:00. When I got there, they did not show up. Subsequent to that, I found out that they had called me while I was driving home, but I was already in the car at that time. It was a mess. I was not too impressed with the whole process.

I scheduled an estimate with these guys at a home show for window replacement. The sales rep at the home show was very friendly as was the rep that came to do my estimate. However, I was not aware that the estimate would take 3 hours of my time and include buy now or pay 30% more sales tactic at the end and that price was over 25% higher than even Renewal By Andersen gave me. The calculation of the estimate itself took a lot of time in itself and after it was clear that I was not making a decision that night, the rep was sad and slowly packed his things while trying to make last ditch efforts to point out negatives of other window companies. It's too bad because it seems like they have a decent product but the whole experience is ruined by the pressure sales pitch.

Sales rep showed up 24 minutes late for a visit I planned on taking no more than 60 minutes. Typical young, optimistic, happy sales smile and handshake accompanied a barrage of reasons the company doesn't tell customers when they're running late: 1) tells me that the pre-sales guy yesterday should have told us that the appt time was really just a 30 minute window; one person thrown under the bus 2) tells me that the company doesn't give the salesperson the phone numbers for the appointments they're going to; one company thrown under the bus 3) tells me that "the cable company" gives a 2 or 3 hour window for appointments; now comparing his company's customer service habits to that of an industry which is generally considered the worst service in America's landscape (BTW-our cable company is excellent and always calls when they're late) 4) tells me he only found out about our appointment an hour and 15 minutes before he was supposed to be here, and tells me where he was when he got that information; throwing his company under the bus again 5) I told him that in my business, I've been going to people's homes for 26 years, I've been calling or texting with an ETA anytime I'm running late since cell phones came into use; he interrupted me twice when while I was trying to tell him this to tell me that he didn't have my phone number (he already told me this-see above) 6) he tells me that if he called his home office/dispatcher and told them that he was running 20 minutes late to an appointment, all they would do is tell him that the customer already knows he could be up to 30 minutes late 7) he tells me that because his company is so far from where our house is, that's another reason I can't expect the company to keep actual appointments, but 30 minute windows 7) I told him that my not wanting to have an estimate done was because his company 1) had policies in place to keep its workers from directly contacting the customer 2) they were too far away 3) they considered 30 minutes late "on time", and 4) the employees didn't support each other....all the while he was interrupting me to tell me how I'd gotten it all wrong. 8) A subsequent phone call to the headquarters office started off with a man telling my wife that he "is a supervisor" after she asked to speak to a supervisor, and bring very reluctant to give her his first name (we didn't even ask for a last name), then after a 13 minute hold, offered to put us through to the salesperson's (who had just left our house looking at the house smirking and shaking his head because I told him wedidn't want an estimate) supervisor, and then we only got the supervisor's voice mail Somebody-please-tell my cable company to go into the roofing business.

The company said they would be there between 8;00 and 10:00 and they showed up in that time frame. I had 17 windows replaced. These guys had these windows replaced in 8 hours and they did a beautiful job. I was kind of hesitant signing with these guys because they said they didn't advertise. Did a little research and went ahead with it. These guys were awesome. They exceeded my expectations. There were cheaper contractors around but I was glad I went with this company. The boss was named Chris and he had 2 people helping him.
Description of Work: 17 windows needed to be replaced.
