This company is extremely professional. They showed up on time, replaced all 21 windows within an eight hour period, and had a quality control specialist come through and review the windows to ensure everything was done properly. At the end of the project, the crew ensured that the house was clean.

Everything went very well. The gentleman who knocked on my door and introduce our to me was super friendly well spoken and had a uniform one to show he worked for power. Steven lad was my sales person and was very informative and could answer all of my questions thoroughly. Once it was time to install, I got plenty of phone calls making sure I knew who was coming and what was happening. The roof started promptly at 8:15 and finished by 4pm. The gutters were replaced the next day. I would highly recommend Power to anybody who wants a complete company in a very gratifying remodeling experience.

The staff is very professional. The gutters were made on site, installers were on time and the whole project took less than an hour! The window installers came on time, very courteous, and informative. The window replacement both times were seamless. Last year I financed the project for the windows. This year I paid cash for the 2nd project. Both times were a smooth process. I love my windows and my gutters!
Description of Work: I love Power Home Remodeling! From the sales representative to the installers. I have used them for two separate projects. Last year I had the two large bay windows in my living room and dining room replaced. This year I had all the bedroom windows and gutters replaced.

A young guy came by one evening this spring and said they were doing work in the neighborhood and asked us if we needed roof work done. We normally turn such people away, but our downspouts needed work and we agreed to have them take a look and give estimates. A couple of days later, two people from the company showed up. They checked the roof, the attic and the gutters. (We were only interested in gutters, but they said they would give us an estimates on the roof, too.) After an hour or so inspection, they told us horror stories about our roof, gutters, and chimney and gave an estimate of $46,700 for everything, and $4961 for the gutters! I made it very clear that we only needed estimates (we normally get at least 3-4 estimates before signing a deal), and under no circumstances would we decide that day. But they stayed for another 2 hours to trying to sign a contract that day by offering us "great deals" that were only good that day. They seemed to be more "concerned" about our house than we are, pressuring to have us sign a deal. At the end, I told them that their high pressure doesn't make me feel good, and reiterated that I wouldn't sign a contract on the spot, so they left after 3 hours.

The reason we're able to offer a steep discount on the first visit is due to increased efficiencies. We visit hundreds of customers everyday and by offering our customers a discounted price for an agreement during the initial visit, we effectively eliminate costs from the potential project. It is more cost-effective for us to come to an agreement on the project during the initial estimate - and if our customers are ready to move forward, we push those cost savings along for their trust in our products and team. At the same time, we realize asking customers to make a commitment on a large project in one evening is not something everyone can do. Therefore, we believe we offer other cost-effective options that allow you to consider Power while you schedule additional estimates or sit on the quote until you are ready down the line. We are extremely confident in our products, warranties and level of service and while we are transparent that we are not the cheapest game in town, we feel our customers will ultimately choose quality over the lowest bid. For your project specifically, we would have to re-deck a portion of your roof in order to install our system the right way - which added considerable cost to the quote. Clearly we want all of our customers to enjoy their experience and if you'd like to discuss yours further to better understand our processes and procedures, please feel free to contact me directly using the information below. Power HRG did an absolutely wonderful job installing our new roof, gutters and downspouts. This project began with a person coming to do the initial estimate of the job and to show us options available for our home. The Power HRG representative was thorough, courteous and completely professional. The work was divided into three parts spread over two days (roofing the house, garage, and porch the first day, and prep for the gutters/downspouts, and installing the gutters on the second.) For the day the roof was to be installed the weather forecast predicted rain later in the afternoon and before the crew arrived we received a call from the Power HRG indicating that due to weather, the team might only complete the house the first day and finish the garage the next day. When the team arrived, they brought enough people to ensure that both the house and garage were finished that day—which it was. The team took great care to protect the house while removing the old roofing material, and did a great job cleaning up when the job was complete. End of day one and the roof looked great. On the next day a small team came to prep for the installation of the gutters and downspouts. We had some fascia that needed to be replaced on our porch. The team showed up early in the morning to ensure they were finished before the gutter/downspout team arrived. The gutter/downspout team arrived early in the afternoon and quickly installed the new gutters and downspouts. While they were finishing up the installation, the Project Leader for our job stopped by to do a QA check. As the team finished the installation, we learned that due to the way the garage had been built, to get water to run to drain to one end the slope of the gutter would have to be great than normal and would be very noticeable (which the previous gutter was, but I never knew why). After conferring together, the Project leader and Installation Team leader recommended putting a downspout on both ends of the gutter. The Team leader authorized this without any additional cost to us. This might not have cost too much, but was indicative of the high standards of this company and willingness to take care of their customers. End of day two and the new roof and gutters/downspouts look wonderful. I realize that Power HRG is not the least expensive option, and they will tell you that right up front; however, the quality of the materials, and the professionalism of the all the people with whom we worked was outstanding and I would highly recommend this company if you are considering re-roofing your house.

I was amazed, they arrived at 7:00 a.m. and left at 5:00 p.m. with all worked finished. They had nine workers and they worked the entire time. I was amazed at the materials they used on my roof. The representative I met with approximately a week before went up into my attic and took pictures and was going over all that would be done from 4:00 p.m. until midnight. My yard was actually cleaner after left then when they arrived.

Power house representatives were very professional and did not try and sell us something we did not need done. We knew we needed a new roof and decided on Power knowing they had done quite a few jobs in our neighborhood. What we saw of their work impressed us Our neighbors who had work done by them ( more than one ) had nothing but good to say about them. So we went with Power. So glad we did. From the first sales person we talked to to the on site people all were very professional .The actual workers were very respectful and did a fantastic job replacing our shingles and the wood under the shingles. We were so pleased with them that the day of roof installation we contracted with them to cap all wood trim outside the house. Will definetly use them when we get ready to replace our siding. Power roofers are a little more expensive than other roofers but after having another roofer do our last roof 18 years ago we were willing to pay a little more to get a better job done and as of this writing we are very glad we used Power. The materials they use are so much better than the shingles we had before. Probably twice as thick due to the compounds used. Very happy with the weather barrier they used as well as the other layers they put on before even attempting to put shingles on. Being realistic there is a mess associated with a new roof but they made sure there was tarp over everything near by. Almost all the throw offs went into their truck or onto the tarps. Very little in the yard itself. Only negative was that no one mentioned until the day of install that the new roof tiles would instead of being even with the roof eaves would protrude about 2 inches. Old gutters at 4 in would be fine but 6 in gutters would be better. Had we known up front it would have been better.

Not great. Sales guy and I use that term despairingly, came over and spent over 2 hours using various tactics trying to get us to sign a contract. My neighbor has the exact same house and had his roof replaced for $8,500.00 - before Power Home even entered my home the sales guy said we are going to be at least 3-4X that. After doing an inspection he proceeded to walk us through a fancy powerpoint explaining why the were better, stats on the roofing industry, etc., etc. Quote started at $56,000 and after we kept saying, no, no, no we got it down to $23,000. Again, my neighbor paid $8,500 for his roofing for the exact same house. We only wanted a quote and after getting gupped into signing the contract we were told we had 3 days to rescind the contract. After spending the night staring at the ceiling realizing the price was ridiculous I called and cancelled the contract. I was told someone would come by to discuss the termination and I would have to sign some paperwork. That turned into another hour long sales pitch on why we should use Power Home Remodeling! Literally told the guy no at least 3-4 times and he still wouldn't go away. Thought he was going to cry at the end when he asked why we signed the contract and said that's what contracts are for! Really?! The contract clearly states I have 3 days to cancel which I did. Had 2 other people come by and quote the house. Quote 1: $8,000 Quote 2: $10,000 and I had the four other quotes my neighbor had. Went with the $10K quote because they offered literally the same roof vent, shingles, vapor barrier etc as Power Home. I'm in sales and I knew the tactics they were using but they are very convincing. I hate the fact that they say there are no pressure then won't take no for an answer. Highly recommend you don't use for your home improvement or let them quote a job for you - they don't take no for an answer!

The process went very well. The project manager contacted me within the expected timeframe to say that the installers were on their way. They arrived as indicated. They were polite and professional when they arrived. Measurements were taken again to be sure once more that the windows and door would fit. They did. They worked well together and handled each task in a systematic way throughout the installation. They promised that all the windows and door would be installed in one day and they were. The crew cleaned up and made sure that they left everything clean. The windows and door were installed cleanly and the fit is perfect for each window and the door. The product is beautiful and a high quality. I also appreciated that the three installers were friendly and nice to each. During the day, I was in contact with the project manager and the quality assurance manager, who both game on-site to make sure that the work and the quality of it was as promised. They were all respectful of my home. The initial sales process took longer than I would have anticipated. I had also read some negative reviews on another site. Despite that, and based on the quality of the product shown to me and the information I was given, I decided to give Power Home Remodeling a chance. I am happy with the windows and door and the service I received. I was also please with each person who worked with me throughout the process.

Power Home Remodeling Group did an excellent job replacing our windows. We like their insulated vinyl windows and they operate very smoothly. Because there are so many (50+) windows in our house we had the work done in three separate projects. The crews were very efficient. They surround each window with expanding foam insulation before replacing the trim. The English speaking crew chief is happy to answer all questions. The team will work until they are done and all cleaned up. They are a good group to work with except for their tendency to use high-pressure (car-dealer type) sales tactics.

Spoke with a sales person at BJs. Quoted $50k for a new roof on a 2600 sqft 2 story home. The sales people spent 4 hours in our home and I laughed when they said the price. They also tried to say the roof was in terrible condition however we had a roof inspection a few months earlier that said the roof has 4-6 years left.

I was approached by their sales rep on a cold call to my door when the company was doing another job in the area. I wasn't planning to doing another project at this time but I was almost finished paying off my last project so thought why not look into it. The only thing I hadn't done that they do was replace the remaining 7 original windows in my house. So I agreed to meet with someone that evening. Stephen Seh was the sales rep who came. He was very friendly and informative He gave a very impressive presentation about their windows showing not just what their windows could do but also showing how they compare to other comparable windows on the market. One of the biggest selling points for me was that they are associated with BJs. I knew that BJs would have done its homework and wouldn't promote a contractor who wasn't good. Also, I was impressed with this company's outreach to veterans. It shows that it's a company that has heart. I like associating with such people. Price is not always the biggest selling point for me. As for the windows, they were very impressive as well. The product appears to be one of the best on the market. Anyway, Stephen gave a very compelling presentation. As usual, the cost was a lot more than I anticipated. But with the 10% off for being a BJs member and the discount for signing on right then, it brought the cost down to a more doable amount. From that point on, everything went like clockwork. The pre-installation inspection was quick and painless. When I expressed that I would have difficulty taking down a blind on one of the windows being replaced because of a shoulder problem, without any questions, I was immediately told it was not a problem and they would take care of it. Another point in this company's favor. The day of installation, they called me and showed up even earlier than stated, which was no problem on my part. The crew immediately got to work and had the job done so quickly. I was amazed. They also were so helpful in putting the blind and curtain back up on that one window as well as the alarm sensor. The quality assurance manager, Adam Zettler, arrived timely, and reviewed their work. He even noticed a possible problem with a tab on one of the windows and had it looked at and they were able to fix it before they left. Before Adam left, he set up the warranty on the windows, which by the way is lifetime and transferrable for both product and labor. He showed me how to use the windows. He also tried to get me to agree to another project, which I wasn't expecting. I don't count that against the company though. I understand that the more repeat customers they have in an area, the better it looks for them. And I was tempted. But my finances just aren't where I would feel comfortable at this time. Every person I spoke with at this company was polite and professional. It was clear to me that each one believed in the mission of this company and the work they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We never want a customer walking away from their first impression with the company feeling as you do and we certainly understand your concern about the discrepancy in price for the quotes you received. That being said, in our 24 years of business and with over 275,000 installations that we’ve completed, we’ve never been the cheapest option – but we’ve always delivered one of the best experiences in the industry. Our belief is that $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 are all significant sums of money. But for the scope of the work you requested, installing a project for that price is going to leave you dissatisfied with the quality of the product and the level of service and communication received. We’ve seen this exact scenario play out hundreds of times. Due to the significant amount of the project, the homeowners are forced to keep the inferior product - often times incorrectly installed – which often times results in a very expensive learning experience. For example, your roof's underlayment had a considerable amount of damage, meaning that to install a new roof the right way, we would've needed to perform a full re-decking - basically laying a new foundation for your home's roofing system. This is a costly, but extremely important process and is often something contractors will cut corners on in order to lower the price. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact me directly. Best, Ray Lodato Director of Digital Communications Power Home Remodeling

I replaced all of the windows that were done in the original install in 1998. The quality of the windows is what initially interested and their unique seal was what initially drew me in since the reason I was replacing the windows in the first place was the fact the seals were bad in almost all of them. They also offered a lifetime warranty that was transferable to the next owner which was another huge plus. From start to finish Power HRG was professional, prompt, responsive, and above all very personable. They changed out our windows on a rainy day with a 2- man crew and the job was completed that day with no rain issues. They did a thorough clean-up job after as well. We did not even need to vacuum anything after they left. The only trace evidence that they left here were the nice, clean, new windows!
