The positive: Staff were friendly and presented themselves in a professional manner. The negative: The entire sales process is annoying and very passive aggressive. Although the salesman attempted to use verbiage to suggest there was no pressure to choose Power over other companies, after a 2-hour presentation, we were given the choice to either sign a contract before the salesman left our house and pay $43k -OR- take some additional time and perform due diligence to consider options and make the best choir a pay $60k. This IS a pressure tactic, especially when you add it to the fact that the salesman kept talking about how much better Power's work is over other companies. Overall, we were haggled over price (additional discounts were introduced each time I refused their offer), and the prices quoted were 3 times as expensive as 5 other reputable competitors whose prices were all within $4k of each other. Mind you, these competitors were also highly-rated on Angie's list. I also checked with several of my neighbors with the same model house as mine in my community and was able to confirm that they'd paid significantly less for their roof replacements and encountered no issues. Power used scare tactics (tone of voice and dramatic reactions as they walked through my house inspecting), and overall it was just very passive aggressive and long-winded. Very used car salesman like. I won't recommend this company. Their work may be great, but I couldn't even get that far because of the price and sales experience. Price haggling is very off putting. Since I knew the whole pressure to sign a contract during the sales process was a tactic and that I could cancel within 5 days of signing, I went ahead and signed the contract just to lock the "lower" price in while I shopped around. However, upon finding much better prices for very comparable services and products, I canceled my order with Power. As opposed to an easy cancelation process, I was required to schedule yet another appointment to have another Power salesman (this time it was a sales manager) come to my house to "witness me signing the cancelation paperwork. As suspected, this "cancelation appointment" was actually Power's attempt to not lose the sale and lower the price yet again (more haggling). This was another waste of an hour and a half of my day. The sales manager took the opportunity to inspect my roof and attic yet again and echo the previous salesman's sentiments that my roof was in horrible condition and how urgently I needed to get a roof (more scare tactics). Ultimately I went with another company that didn't give me a long, drawn out sales pitch, was upfront with what was needed, used comparable products to Power, and was candid about the fact that homes in my neighborhood will not sell for a high enough price to justify investing $60k in a roof (which I already knew but was glad to hear the roofer say this). Power operates in true capitalism. They will charge 5 different people 5 different prices for the exact same job based on how much a particular customer is willing to haggle with them on price. That, above everything else I've written, is why I cannot recommend their services. One last thing: During the sales presentation, after informing me of the 5-day cancellation window, the salesman asked me to shake his hand and give him my word that I would not cancel. Although I don't think he was ill-intentioned, that proposition was in extremely poor taste. I did not shake on that.

Very well. Door needed extensive work on the house frame to get plumb, works like a charm. Tight seal and dead quiet.

The work went very smoothly. Sales rep was knowledgeable and the crew did a great job and worked efficiently. Cleaned up before they left!

Pond Roofing was great - they did a great job of explaining the process with out the used car sales tactics - they even found some things that our insurance company had missed in the assessment, resulting in a better settlement. Bernado and his crew did a top notch job in record time - went out of their way to make sure the process was not intrusive. Would highly recommend the company.

I called two weeks ahead of time to schedule an estimate for a roof on my home. During the confirmation call (one day prior), the woman on the phone asked if my wife would be present. I told them she and I both work and I am taking time off from work to have a quote from multiple companies during different times of the day. The woman indicated without my wife present they could "re-schedule" the estimate. I told them if my wife doesn't care about roofs and I would be the only decision maker in the house. Their pushy sales staff insisted she be home and wanted to re-schedule. I asked them to just cancel the estimate. If they are so pricey in getting an estimate, i can imagine how pricey they would be with the work and estimates.

I had them come for estimate on siding, for informational purposes only. After talking about bang for our buck, it turned to attic insulation. Upon inspection of the attic, the conversation turned into a high pressure sales pitch on a new roof to the tune of $30k+. It was said that stains in the attic were signs of water damage, which they were but this roof is only 3 years old and decking wasn't replaced therefore there are some water stains from before the roof was replaced. No moisture meter was used to determine if the water stains were from active leaks or not. Also minor splintering in the decking was pointed out. The splintering is actually from the nails used during roof replacement, 3 years earlier. After doing some research, the cost for our roof, using the same materials, should actually be between $8-10k. The salesperson first tried to sell us on a $32k roof job. Then offered us a "decide tonight" discount. Once we said no to both of those numbers, he offered a "special discount" because he could use our roofing job for marketing. Still this price was over $20k. As stated before, the cost should be $8-10k, using the same GAF roofing system and a GAF approved roofer. I do not appreciate high pressure sales tactics and am very thankful that we decided that we could not afford this extremely over priced roofing job. If you are requesting a quote from Power Home Remodeling, I suggest getting multiple other quotes first so you have an idea of what is realistic.

Thought we had more time on our roof. The roof was not something we were thinking about, but my husband decided to entertain a free estimate from power. The gentleman at the door was not pushy and very friendly. Pat Donegan came out to give us our estimate. He was the best part of this whole process. He was never overbearing or pushy about replacing the roof. He came in and got in our attic andreally did a full inspection of our roof. If it wasn't for him, we would have never found out about the numerous spots that were leaking. Pat's presentation really broke down the roof in the simplest terms to help us make the decision to use Power. The install for the roof happened as planned. However, it started raining towards the finish of the install. Because of this, the guys rushed and the cleanup was not very good. However, the crew was nice enough to come back and sweep the yard for all the left over debris. They also went back and fixed some other things they noticed. Bob Lupton, our project manager, was very helpful and rescheduling some of the installs because we were too worried about the weather being a problem. We have had issues with contractors in the past doing other projects for us. Doing this project was a big step for us. It was not in our plans for at least 10 more years but it had to be done. Power did a great job walking us through the entire process. We were honestly excited to get the roof done with power. We are so happy with the decision we made and have recommend them to everyone.

They were prompt and professional. They answered all of our questions.

Eleven windows were replaced. The first appointment for the estimate went a little long and they insisted that my husband and I both be present. After that everything went very quickly and efficiently. Power windows helped us with financing. All appointments for measurements, installation, and follow up were on time and went well. The installation crew was respectful of our property, and did a thorough cleanup. Their quality control person came to check out the job and checked that all of the windows were properly installed inside and out and functioned properly.

We chose Power because they showed us what really should be on every roof. Their products are high quality and their people are friendly. We were happy that the lifetime warranty if transferable too. We are very pleased with Power and the roof and gutters. We can't wait for theinsulation in a few weeks!

The sales pitch was high pressure, but we decided the quality of roofing materials that would be used was very high. The cost was high. The work done went very well. The roof was stripped then replaced in five or six hours. The 8 workers were friendly and efficient. They cleaned up very well after the work. They knew what they were doing and worked well together. There was a crew chief who directed them. At the end, the crew chief inspected the area, then the project manager inspected it, and finally the quality assurance manager inspected the work. We had contact with four representatives: a salesman who was high pressure, a pre-installation inspector, a project manager who came for a while near the end of the installation, and a quality assurance manager who came at the end to inspect the work, help us register the warranty (50 years not pro-rated), explained the warranty and how we would use it in case the roof were damaged, and then collected payment. There was no payment until the job was finished. Total cost was $16,000 for an 1800 sq ft roof

They showed-up when they said they would and did the entire job in one, long day. This is an old house, and they found some problems as they went along, but took care of everything. They cleaned-up after themselves nicely. The crew was friendly and professional. Several managers stopped-by to check on things during the day as well.

Everything went well. Arrived on time. Friendly reliable staff. Windows and doors are quality workmanship. Process was very smooth.

I used Power to replace my windows siding and gutters because of their quality product and their customer service. I've never had any company keep in contact with me so much about a project. The house looks brand new.

It went really well! They were a tiny bit early on the day they were scheduled to start work, but they were communicative, they told us what we needed to do beforehand, etc. They were also good about keeping us updated throughout the day so we would know whether they would need the second day to finish up or not.

It went pretty well. It took eight days, but one day was lost due to rain. The house looks great now. The crew was efficient. The quality of the siding was very good. The only snafu was a dumpster delivery very early Saturday morning that had not been communicated. But all in all a good job.

Power was highly recommended by a family friend and we were not disappointed. We have been getting estimates on the roof that was 23 years old. Everyone's price was roughly the same but power start out as an easy company to work with. They kept us informed every step of the way and we always have their contact information for any questions on our end. As they were recommended to us, we would recommend to anyone else as well.

We are very happy with how the window capping turned out. The house is only 13 years old and we wanted an estimate on the roof. Cheyne was very honest about us not needing our roof just yet. He did notice the windows had some wood rot and recommended we cap the wood as a "forever paint job". We love his recommendation!

Power home remodeling did an excellent job with our windows. We replaced our windows 20 years ago, but we had noticed them deteriorating over the last few years. We were not happy to have to replace them again, but are happy we did with Power.

Second time around, it couldn't have gone any better. Power home remodeling replaced my windows and a few doors last year. They were so professional and accommodating to my needs. They are very cordial people with great personalities. They're very helpful and their products do what they say they will do. This time around, was more of the same. I feel I made a great decision choosing power and I recommend them to anyone who could use new windows and doors.

Every project has been great. The team arrived on time, were always professional and cleaned up everything before leaving. They always performed a walk through with me to ensure that I was satisfied with their work. I have never had any subsequent problems with any of the projects.

The process is seemles and the job is going extremely well. We are impressed with everything that we have seen so far. The salesman was excellent and friendly. The installation team is professional and kind. We are very pleased with everything.

The crew was exceptionally professional and skilled - they took great care in making sure my doors were properly hung, functioning well, and looking fabulous. The doors are high quality - and greatly improve the space. This is my third project with Power - two sets of beautiful windows before this - and always a quality job.

I ended up using someone else. They scheduled and then rescheduled several times. They were very disorganized and slow. I already had a leaky skylight and I did not have the time to waste with this company. They eventually gave me an estimate over the phone. It was higher than S&K Roofing.
