Power Roofing Project #32-80409 - We spent 3 hours plus with Power’s sales team in our home on November 7, 2017 and were quoted a price to replace our entire roof. We agreed to the price and signed a contract. However, when another representative showed up 3 days later to look over the job he informed us that Power had measured incorrectly leaving out a section of the roof (which is a part of the house and is clearly shown in the aerial picture of our house that was included with the quote). As a result, Power told us we had to pay an additional $3,000 above the price agreed to get the entire roof done. We declined to pay the additional fee and their representative left after telling us they would not do the job for the fee we contracted for 3 days earlier. We discussed the portion of the roof in question in depth with the original sales rep because that is the section we were having issues with, so there was no doubt that portion was to be included. Power agreed the fault was theirs, however Power refused to honor the original agreement. I sent an email to Power’s main office in PA giving them an opportunity to do the right thing, but all they did was forward the email to the same local representative who declined to honor the quote the first time. He called and repeated that Power had made a mistake but we would have to pay for it not Power. I’m not sure how often this happens, however my guess is it must be pretty common or they would not bother sending another representative out to “double check” the situation prior to sending out the installation crew. One other thing to note is that both on-site assessments by Power was performed at night and took about 5 minutes with a flash light, so no one from Power actually seen the roof. They make a very good sales pitch which is a bit high pressured to get you to sign that night, but be assured that what you sign is not necessarily what they will be charging you for the job.

Went well, new wood had to be added to the roof, manager came and discussed the cost, gave options. Install was on time, they were efficient, cleaned up well, communicated with me about the status of the project. All people involved with the project were professional. Rak Mistry was our remodeling consultant and he gave us a thorough inspection, showed us all of the options and explained the whole process before hand. Michael also provided information about what would happen on roofing day and was very informative.

I received a new roof, but due to a serious miscommunication the gutters were not done. I feel like Power does good work, has a great warranty, but is very expensive for what you get. I understand why they charge what they charge, but offering more discount for different work doesn't cover the fact that I was expecting gutters and didn't get them. Other than the gutter problem I am very happy with the work that was done and for the after work service that was done. Including removing a satellite dish that wasn't cut down properly due to another miscommunication between the job foreman and my wife.

Power: Finally! A company that says what it does, and does what it says! (New roof, gutters and windows). First contact with Power was with sales consultant, Alexandra, at Sam’s Club. Alexandra was very pleasant and knowledgeable. This was followed up by an in-home visit with remodeling consultant, Kevin Milks. Kevin is great: knowledgeable, friendly, patient. No hard sell at all. Can’t say enough good things about Kevin. The first project we had done was the roof - wow! What a roof we have now. It is a very good looking roof and looks like it could survive a cat 5 hurricane with no damage. Our second project was the gutters. These gutters are beautiful (if gutters can be beautiful). They are bigger than our previous ones, and look solid. Last project was windows. This is where Power really showed what they are made of. Two of the original windows had broken seals (from water damage from the old roof) and there was some wood damage in the window wells. Power was able to repair the framing without missing a beat, and we now have some really outstanding windows. Joe Showalter, who headed up the window installation team, is a true craftsman! Steve Percival was our Project Manager for these three jobs. Steve made a big difference in our experience. Steve was on-site at the beginning of each job, and checked back in throughout the day. Steve was available to us for any concerns or questions we had. Nick Brown, Quality Assurance Manager, was also present during the projects, and was another resource made available to us during the projects. To sum up our experience with Power: Power showed up on time, every time (very important), and did not leave until the job was done to our satisfaction. Power was accessible by phone, text and e-mail and always responded promptly. Power’s crews were skilled, pleasant and friendly. Power cleaned up inside and out after each job. We are extremely happy with our new roof, gutters & windows. We will definitely call Power when we are ready to proceed with more remodeling. All-in-all, we can, without hesitation, not just recommend Power, but highly recommend Power for home remodeling.

It went very well. They arranged the best time to do the work. They brought a thoroughly professional crew that worked steadily and did a great job. They were on time each day and did it all (it is a big roof) in two days working the entire days. It took two days because it was not just a re-shingling, it included replacing the entire roof with 1/2" plywood (up to code) rather than the old 1/4" stuff, GAF shingles, roof vents, etc. The clean-up was very thorough, although I did find about 16 nails scattered around after they left. Could have been a problem, but no damage done. The two follow up items that needed completion (they had done some damage to an attic entry hatch and to the two skylights) took about a month, but they were done completely and professionally with a lot of follow-up appointment but a number of different workers. And, true to their word, they did not ask for their fee until the job was done to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: I was planning to get my roof re-shingled sometime in the next few years, but when Power Home Remodeling knocked on the door and convinced me to get an estimate, I was surprised by the degree of damage to my roof they showed me. The shingles were getting moldy (I knew that) but inside the poor ventilation and poor quality roofing job done before we bought the house were demonstrably causing water leakage problems. The Power sales representatives were thorough and professional and made a case for their higher quality materials, roofers, ventilation system, and warranty. It was a long presentation, but thorough. Did we get the lowest price for roofing? Not by a long shot. They are expensive. No question. But the quality of materials and workmanship and the extensive warranty means that I have a top quality roof that will last for my ownership, and the warranty can be transferred to the new owner. Value is about more than money. I bought value for my biggest single investment.

They arrived very early in the morning and worked all day to get it finished in one day. The were professional, kept the debris away from the house, did each section one at a time so that the attic was never exposed too long. They did everything that was explain to us in the estimate. At the next rain, we ended up having a leak in the chimney, they came out quickly and checked all their work. The leak ended up being on the cap and not caused directly by the work on the roof. Each person we dealt with during the process, from sales, to pre-work to post-work was very helpful. In fact, they didn't collect payment. I ended up calling a couple of days later to make sure we paid for their service. They accounting lady was just as helpful as the rest of the crew. In all, it was a pleasure to work with them. And the roof looks great.
Description of Work: Power HG replaced our entire roof including the plywood deck under the shingles. The plywood deck was too thin for today's standards so we were required to replace it. Additionally, our eaves had been painted over so much that we had to put in a special vent system that they offered.

Absolutely top notch from start to finish! We replaced our windows and one sliding glass door. There was no pressure at all to purchase during the sales presentation - although it ran longer than I expected. During the measuring portion, the technician told us about a better product for our bathroom windows (that looks fabulous saved us significant money!). The install team was very professional, friendly, and polite. The team stayed after the install to vacuum my floors and remove all the debris and trash. I highly recommend Power Home Remodeling! AAA+++

Very professional. Scheduled quickly and work completed as promised. Had two separate elements of the project completed over two days, capping and shutters on the first day and the roof replacement on the next. In both cases crews showed up on time and completed work on the same day. Cleanup was thorough and complete. Power was doing work in our neighborhood, and rep knocked on the door offering free estimate, which we scheduled. Sales rep spent 6 hours at our home. He performed a very thorough examination of the house inside and out. He pointed out the specific areas needing attention on the outside, namely the bay window framing and the roof over our family room extension. The latter was a standard shingle roof, which he indicated was inappropriate given the minimal slope of the roof and should be replaced with a roll roof. He also provided photos of the attic under the main roof. These showed several areas of leakage, evidence of insufficient circulation within the roof, and some rotted areas of the underlying wood planking. He then spent considerable time explaining the Power HRG roofing system. Even with my limited knowledge it was immediately and readily apparent that they offered a superior system to that of even the best roofers in our area. Among the exceptional features were a more substantial and longer-lasting sheathing alternative to the standard tarpaper, a better ridge-vent supplemented by a proprietary ventilation system, embedding of the flashing into the masonry of the chimney (an area of one of the more serious leaks), a 50-year-warrantied shingle custom designed for Power, and a drip edge designed to facilitate water drainage and prevent ice dams in winter. Before the work was scheduled, a pre-install team came to take final measurements and confirm the scope of work and details of the project. The project was then able to be scheduled for the following week. It should be noted that Power is expensive, but you get a commensurate value for your money. We could have gotten an adequate roof for less, but we expect to remain in our home for some time and wanted something more than just adequate. Additionally, Power is a large and growing company that stands behind its work. Their assurances and examples of this as well as their written warranties provided confidence that any problems, should they occur, would be promptly and unquestioningly dealt with. Overall they have so far very much lived up to their excellent ratings for quality and service.

Brandon, a rep from Power came to our home and reviewed the products Power offers as well as the warranty, quality, step by step process of installation and we were sold. My father-in-law mentioned the quality of Powers work (professionalism, clean-up, quality of material etc) and we were sold. We ended up having our roof, gutters, shutters and attic insulation done. Our home looks new! The quality of service was EXCELLENT. Very punctual, professional, superb clean-up, and quick service. After the job was complete, the QA manager came to visit and inspect. Brian was exceptionally kind and professional. He reviewed everything with us and was insightful and helpful. We will definitely recommend Power to our friends and family.

Description of Work: We used Power Home Remodeling to replace our roof. Our remodeling consultant Stephen Brown came out to give us a quote. I am so impressed with everything about this job. The windows were ordered on 9/8/17 with installation expected 10/26/17 and 2 days to finish the job. They were right on target. The team arrived right on schedule. The installation team included Tad, Ernesto, Douglas, Rene and Ernesto. They worked in unison with each person knowing exactly what to do. They were very professional....true craftsmen. The final day was finishing caulking and wrapping the window framing. I love the look of the windows and anticipate lower utility costs. Thanks also to Tim, Kevin, Steve and Adam. After the job was completed the team cleaned up and left everything spotless. Thanks Power for making my house new again!
Description of Work: The job was a large one. I replaced a total of 43 windows which included a sunroom with 20 windows and 2 large bays. Most of the windows were large floor to ceiling casements. The old windows were single pane, wood trim and 34 years old...time to get rid of them.

Epitome of excellence from start to finish. So pleased I’m doing another project with them. That pretty much says it all. I’m not a novice Home remodeling and I’ve priced projects of all kinds over the years plus my husband and I remodeled our home ourselves. So I know great work when I see it. Power is a no brainer. Staff are congenial and respectful of each other and the client. Highly recommend

Very well. The crew showed up on time, did their work quickly (under 2 hours start to finish), took me around on a quality control inspection and cleaned-up everything. Quick, clean, professional. The work and quality of product was top notch. If you want a low price, though, Power might not be your first choice. Their quality materials and warranty, however, make them competitive in the long run.
Description of Work: After replacing our roof (the subject of another review to be published shortly), we decided that new, 4" gutters would be needed to handle the increased overlap of the roof. So we had Power Home Remodeling (the same firm that replaced our roof and shingles) replace our old gutters with new, seamless, 4" gutters and downspouts.

The sales process was exhausting. The 2 folks arrived on time but spent approx. 6 hours plus at the house to complete the sale. This transaction was done in two parts as I initially wanted 2 doors and 4 windows replaced. A date was set the following week for someone to come measure. The man came to measure and set the date for the install: the date of the install came and the two doors ordered were backwards, ie they were ordered incorrectly by whoever orders in their main office. So the 2 doors were put in anyway until the replacements were reordered. At that time, I decided to replace the remaining 4 windows in the addition as it did not look finished. So then they offer you a deal to replace the remaining windows which I had already decided to do. Now 6 weeks later, the remaining windows were put in, the 2 new doors were torn out and the new ones were put in. The French door was correct but the other exterior door was still not correct as originally ordered, the opening this time was on the wrong side. At this point, I would live with it as I was done with this project and I did not want any more extensions or tearing out of new doors again. The installation of their products was great. The crew was very responsive and completed the job to my satisfaction. The one good thing was that they did not accept any payment until the job was completed. There is also a lifetime warranty with their products that will transfer with the sale of the house.
Description of Work: Replaced an exterior French door; exterior entry door, and 8 oversized windows for an addition.

I did have some issues with them. I can't say anything about the work, because I didn't climb up on the roof and look. They're a high pressure sales, thing. I'm sorry I did it afterwards. Mainly because of the price. They told me there would be a supervisor or someone on the site that I could talk to, there was no one here. In fact the last day, when they finished up, I tried to call the guy, and so did the crew chief. Neither one of us could get a hold of him. So I had to give the crew chief, a Mexican man, which I had a hard time understanding; I wrote him a check for $10,000. The other guy came back 2 days later and said they lost my check. I can stop payment on the check, but now my check with my name, address, phone number and everything else, is out there somewhere. That really did not set well with me. He said the guy set the clipboard on the truck, and they took off and they don't know where the clip board is. If you're a professional company, you don't do that stuff. I don't go around and give people bad references, I hate to do that. These people charged me an arm and a leg and I just didn't think their service was that good. I told the guy, you said you were going to be here, if I needed you, you gave me your phone number, but nobody could reach you! I wasn't happy with them. Price was terrible. I guess quality was ok, I haven't actually climbed up on the roof. They were responsive, they were here on time.
