Our AC crashed on the hottest day of the year. I called several "A lisfed" HVAC Companies, but most were too busy to come out on a tmely basis. PCK told me to expect him AT 11:00 the nextday and that he'd call first. He did call and was here at 111:00. He promised me an estimate by close of business two days later, and I had my estimate. I had some questions that I e-mailed--and had my answers within three hours. I agreed to do the work, and he told me what to expect and when it would be done, and it was done on time. Even though some unexpected custom metal work had to be done to do the job right, I was not charged extra for it even though I offered to pay for it. The best expereince I have had with a contractor in years.

Working with Mirko was a pleasure from the very start of this project. He was very prompt in returning my calls and arrived exactly when he said he would for the initial consultation and all follow-up. I've worked with several HVAC companies over the past few years and Mirko from PCK HVAC was by far the most knowledgeable, fair, and offered the highest level of customer service despite owning a smaller company than most. Mirko was quick to diagnose the problem and offer an estimate. He wasn't the cheapest, but offered a significantly better warranty on the work than the other companies that provided an estimate for the same work. I signed the contract on Thursday, May 19 to replace my high-velocity air handler and line set. He pulled a permit for the project and came out first thing on the morning of May 23. He spent the entire day installing and testing the system and his work was clean, neat and of high-quality. I had a unique situation in that the previous owners of my house finished the attic around the air handler and set it so far back in the corner that no maintenance could be performed on the unit. Mirko was good enough to demo around the air-handler and install the new unit in a way that allowed it to be serviced. In addition to the work mentioned above, he also cleared and rebuilt part of the drain pipe, custom build an adapter for the return, tested and recharged the system, installed a new thermostat of my choosing and removed the old line set. My AC was up and running the same day and it has been working perfectly ever since. Mirko really did do more than I asked and I feel as though this level of honesty and thoroughness is rare in this kind of business. I had my inspection on 6/17 and it passed with ease. I mentioned to Mirko that I wasn't happy with the thermostat he installed as it didn't have the features I was looking for. He quickly offered a much better thermostat with all the features I needed. My search for a reliable heating and AC contractor is officially over. Going forward, I will be calling Mirko from PCK HVAC for all of my heating and cooling needs.

It is a very long story but essentially we had an a/c unit improperly installed by the owners before us in our attic crawl space. They failed to install it correctly, never had a city inspector approve the work and as a result we ended up with a busted unit, 35% saturated wall and water dripping from the ceiling. Merko ended up having to cut the old unit out piece by piece and install a new unit properly onto the roof. While an expensive job, he looked out for us on costs when it came to selecting the crane company, purchasing steel beams, the new unit, etc. He was a blessing in a very frustrating, hot and expensive time for us. Professional doesn't begin to describe him (he took his shoes off the first time he came in the house to not track dirt in) and we felt comfortable enough with him that we gave him a key to our house to come and go while he worked. He is honest, trust worthy and very good at what he does. I can not say enough how wonderful he was to work with.

Great! Marek came over within an hour, and quickly performed an assessment of our a/c unit. He identified the problem (clogged drainage pipe), and quickly replaced the drainage pipe. He stayed around to test the unit, and to examine the outside air handlers to make sure everything else was ok. He completed his work within an hour, and did a great job. Very responsive, great service, and fair prices.

Mirko was very professional and prompt. He immediately responded to my request through QuickConnect, provided a good estimate, and was able to schedule the job for a Saturday. Mirko called the day prior to the appointment just to confirm and arrived right on time. He cleanly navigated the ventilation ductwork around obstacles and through a thick brick wall. He also moved and secured gas piping and electrical receptacles for the washer and dryer. Mirko was very knowledgeable and paid attention to every detail. I would definitely use him again.

Mirko is the best. He came the very day I called, spent time to check the system, identified the problem, and fixed it. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He explained everything to me simply and clearly. He is polite and professional. He goes the extra mile. One of the best repairmen I've ever had. Highly recommended.

I first called another HVAC company and they couldn't give me a time that they would meet with me. They said they would call me when they were available. I then called PCK and Mirko, the owner, called me right back and met with me within 30 minutes. He realized that it was a simple fix and had the part he needed on hand. He was polite and professional and even ran a diagnostic to make sure there weren't any other problems. He also cleaned out my drip pan. I would definitely recommend Mirko and PCK.

My AC was leaking water. PCK came within a couple of hours of my e-mail. The mechanic figured out the problem right away and then fixed it. Turns out that the AC was clogged after 10 years of use and he had to open up some PVC piping and clean it. The work was done within an hour and the AC works great.

My air conditioning went on the fritz on the Wednesday before a scorching holiday weekend. I used Angie's list to email PCK HVAC to see if I could set up a repair date. (First time I'd ever tried arranging a repair via email.) In less than two minutes (really!) I received a phone call. PCK HVAC was willing to come the very next day although my work schedule forced me to wait until Friday (two days away). Mirko, who is a one-man operation, showed up an hour early -- he apparently finished an earlier call sooner than expected. (It was great to cut an hour out of the sweltering wait.) He had me describe the problem, correctly predicted what was wrong then opened up the air conditioning unit to make the repair. He finished the repair quickly. He was polite, efficient and very friendly.

I called Mirko at 8am on Memorial Day and he called me back at 9am promising to come over in one hour. That was the beginning of the wonderful service he delivered. He arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had a new part in his truck, replaced it and double checked that the a/c ran cool air again. It did. All in all, within three hours on a holiday weekend, Mirko fixed my a/c. Not only will I use his services again (he has a service plan to check on the heating and cooling system twice per year) but I will recommend him to everyone. Mirko's service is the best I have ever received, ever.

Excellently. I called in the morning at about 9 and they arrived at 11. By 11:30, they said the problem was ice build up and they couldn't fix it unless the ice melted. They said they would call at 5:00 to see how it was, they did, the ice was gone, they came back, and spent quite a lot of time fixing it. The price was very cheap. I paid almost as much the same day for a plumber to be in my house for less than 15 minutes. Mirko also pointed out a few other non A/C related things that needed attention in my house and promptly said "I can't fix it" but I like to point out what I see. He was also very nice to my cat.

I found PCK HVAC LLC listed in the top three of Angie's List 's HVAC contractors. The owner and contractor Mirko lived up to all of the positive reviews written about him and his work - and MORE! I called Mirko and left a message about getting an estimate, and within 20 minutes he returned my call and we had an appointment set up. Mirko was punctual (even early!) for the appointment, instantly likable and despite our decrepit, complicated and incorrect AC set-up, he was able to confidently point out and explain all of the items were leading to the failure of our AC and gave us a free, very reasonable estimate. The other contractors who gave us quotes charged us for the estimate. Mirko made himself available within a few days and got to work right away with his assistant. Mirko's work was efficient, top-notch and exceeded our expectations. What had been a disastrously loud and bungled AC set-up for our 1908 DC row house turned out clean and neat-looking with high quality workmanship. Mirko even came back afterwards to break up and remove an old concrete slab that the old outside condenser had been set upon. Everything that Mirko did was very professional, clean and well-done. Go with Mirko -he's a pro! We would highly recommend MIrko to family and friends.

my a/c would not cool the house more than 2 to 3 degrees. the tech checked the indoor and outdoor units and the filter and determined that the outdoor unit was severely low on freon. he gave me a refill plus some helpful hints. he also called to say he was on the way and arrived 5 min before he said he would. great job, very punctual.

Mirko was great. He figured out our issue quickly but also gave us good advice of things to think about for the future to keep this from happening in the future. He definitely knows his business as he was able to tell me how old our a/c was based upon the serial numbers. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need.

while performing the required service for the heat pump, Mirko respectfully and nicely answered all my questions and provided me with information concerning the ongoing care of my units.... he used the best equipment to analyze my heat pump and explained in detail what he was doing and why... my problem is resolved and i understand what i need to do to keep my system in good working order...

Mirko is the man! I would highly recommend him to anyone. I have family in Chicago who are in the HVAC business and I had Mirko speak on the phone with my brother in law to confirm that he not only was giving me a great price, but that he was knowledgable. Mirko was always on time, punctual, and very accommodating. He was also responsive and flexible (he met with me in the evening so I wouldn't have to take off from work and worked on the weekend so we would have our new system up and running sooner). He will make sure that your project is completed right from start to finish, from giving you a great estimate to scheduling and meeting with an inspector. Mirko arrived and I explained what I thought the problem was. Our flue had been demolished by our own roof when high winds tore our roof off. A lot of mortar and bricks came down the flue and I explained to Mirko that I had cleared them out and that the roofers had rebuilt my flue. He asked if he could go on the roof and check things out. I said to myself, wow this guy really cares and is in no rush to get the job done. We went up to the roof and he was immediately horrified to see that the roofers had placed a huge black trash bag over my flue to keep it dry as it had rained the day they had rebuilt it. He couldn't believe it. He explained how my gas furnace had shut itself off because it had overheated as it could not vent itself. Mirko is amazing, not only did he fix everything but he took his time and explained everything to me during every step. I swear, I never knew so much about my gas furnace before, he pointed out all the most important parts and explained how they worked and what their purpose was. Mirko was in no rush and actually enjoyed sharing this knowledge with me. While he was there he even reset the temperature of the water in the gas furnace to make it more efficient AND made sure to check that my hot water heater was also safely venting through the flue, something I had not even thought about. Mirko is the best, He is super pleasant and friendly as well as knowledgeable and professional, I would recommend him to anyone.

All is can say is WOW! Just when you thought all contractors were crooks, its Mirko to the rescue. After receiving estimates from two other companies that were triple what I paid Mirko, I found PCK HVAC. I arranged for an estimate. Mirko called the evening before to confirm and arrived the next day like clockwork. We scheduled the job for the following day. Mirko showed up right on time and after about half an hour watching him do his thing I felt comfortable enough to leave him in the house and head out to work. He said to call in two hours. I did and he said he would have the job wrapped up before lunch. I came back home on my lunch break. Mirko said he hit a small snag but that it was not a big deal. This gave me a little time to make small talk with him and I discovered that he is a true professional. I cannot tell you how many times he said he enjoys working for himself because he can make sure he does the "good job" and does not have a boss telling him to cut corners. So refreshing to hear that. He even texted me later that evening to make sure everything was working as it should.

Washington Gas came to turn the gas on in our new home and called to inform us that they could not turn the heat down once the pilot was lit -- we were left with a "danger" tag. I called Mirko that morning to describe the issue and he came later that afternoon to evaluate the problem. He identified the burner as the problem, as well as problems with a few pipes and the tank attached to the burner. He was very accomodating to all of my questions during the assessment process. The next day, he came to replace the broken parts. He was very flexible with timing. Mirko also followed up with me to make sure that the heating system was working adequately and made himself available for any future follow up as needed. He is very responsive and willing to work with any schedule.

The overall experience was great. I chose Mirko given that he takes appointments on weekends and had good reviews. We were scheduled to have him come by Saturday, but since we were without power the few days before, I had to cancel that appointment. Power came back Saturday afternoon and I called Mirko to see if he could still come out -- he was able to come the next day, which was key because our house was just not getting warmer. He arrived on time (a little early actually) and completely fixed our problem. He also checked in the following day to make sure things were still working well. Overall, he was very knowledgeable and very fair on pricing. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I awoke Saturday morning to a cold house because the fan on my heating system had stopped working. I was extremely anxious about having to contact an HVAC company for fear of having to wait through the weekend or being charged more than I could afford. I feel very fortunate to have found PCK HVAC. Mirko was thorough, efficient, professional, courteous, and obviously very honest. The final charges were extremely reasonable and there was no pressure to spend more than necessary. He not only diagnosed and fixed the initial problem, which turned out to be a capacitor and not the motor, but he completely checked and made adjustments to maintain my very aged heating system for as long as possible. I would not hesitate to call on this company again.

It turned out very well. He kept coming back to make sure everything was running well!
