Mirko is AMAZING! He gave me the best price by far, fantastic workmanship and good old fashioned grade A customer service. He even went above and beyond the call of duty to repair a minor plumbing issue that had nothing to do with my HVAC or hot water system... free of charge. I will never hire another HVAC company. Mirko is the best in the business in the DC area.... hands down!

Great. After having received a $3,600 estimate from Michael and Sons and a suggestion to replace the unit at a cost of $6,200 I was panicked after just having bought my new home. Their estimates panicked me so much after researching personal loans and home equity loan options I though I should first go back to angies list and found PCK Hvac. I was told before that the age of the unit could not even be determined or the issue with the system could not be determined without the hot water tank being moved and someone going into the utility closet to inspect it-all I would later find out to be complete lies. As soon as the PCK HVAC repairman came in he asked if he could open the unit and see what the problem was. I said of course, Imaging my shock when he open it up in two seconds and started looking for a problem. He diagnosed the problem in less then 30 minutes, gave me an estimate (which turned out less than what I paid) and said he could come back with the new part in a couple days. He came back with the new part and the unit works great. I love this company, they saved me from getting ripped off and I couldn't be happier. They're saved in my phonebook for life!

I contacted 3 contractors to get competitive bids. All three bids were in the same range (within about $150). Mirko's PCK HVAC LLC had the lowest bid. But he also appeared to me the most knowledgeable and insightful. He also seemed to care a lot more about the quality of the job that would eventually be done. So on the basis of this, I asked Mirko to take the job. We scheduled the work to be done over a maximum of four days, expecting/hoping to finish faster (on day three). Mirko was very flexible in scheduling. Mirko arrived on time each day. He did some careful planning with me first to ensure that the unit did not get disconnected longer than necessary. He managed to tuck all the ducts very neatly where i was hoping they could go. It was not an easy job because the way the basement is configured. I observed his work and appreciated his extreme care for details. He wanted the entire job to be done the way a true dedicated craftsman would do it. He also corrected a number of issues left from the previous job done years ago under the supervision of the previous owner. For instance--and this is only one example--one of the exhausts leading to the floor where the cold air comes was small and used a non-standard grid. He enlarged the opening and replaced a new standard grid on top at no additional charge. At the end of each of both days he was here, he ensured that the AC was all reconnected before returning the next day so that we could get AC if we needed. He also entirely cleaned both AC units/coilers, etc, and installed a new pump on one of them. The units have never worked this well. He finished around noon on the third day. My overall evaluation can be summarized as follows: - Mirko is your archetypal crafstman who takes enormous pride in a job done to perfection. - His costs are also reasonable. In the process, he also provided me with educational information to help me manage the units in the future. So i would highly recommend him.

Mirko is a stand-up guy. I have used him on 2 separate occasions, both involving leaks from our HVAC system. In both cases, he had to come out multiple times and did so within a day or two. His quotes were beyond reasonable and very honest. You really cannot ask for better service and he is incredibly knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to use him for a small or large job and will always call him first with problems. He also happens to be the most prompt person I know!

This company is awesome with a capital A. The price was incredibly reasonable. He had to come out twice and the second time he did not even charge me which was absolutely amazing. He walked me through every step of what he was doing and was courteous and professional throughout. Mirko was as honest as I have ever seen a technician in any profession. I would recommend him to anyone interested in HVAC work. AAA++ no doubt about it!

Our A/C stopped working this afternoon. With an infant at home and a severe heat wave on the way, we were all but certain we'd be spending the next few days at a hotel. But I called PCK and Mirko came out to our home within 90 minutes. He was here for an hour and a half and charged us only the service fee for the actual repair of the time delay, and a bit extra for a pound of coolant he put in the system. A/C is working great now, and we are very happy to not have to pack up our baby and ride out the heat wave in a hotel!

Overall, the owner of the company - Mr. Grozdanic - was very responsive to my emails. He was also very easy to deal. The company provided a competitive quote for installing a high-velocity AC in my house. A week from the project kick-off, I got a message from Mr. Grozdanic informing that the work will not be preformed due to his health problems. Unfortunately, he did not refer to anyone else; therefore, I had to start everything from scratch. It was very disappointing experience.

Very easy -- made the call, scheduled a Friday appointment with Mirko, the company owner. He said the reason my home wasn't getting hot or cold air blowing through it (A/C unit is new) was that the blower motor was broken. This has been a recurring problem in my home. He recommended replacing the entire furnace, which I've heard from every workman who has come in to tinker with the system (blower motor being a repeated problem). He gave me a quote lower than anyone else has, and he's well-rated on Angie's list, so we agreed he'd come back on Monday and do the work. I paid half the amount on Friday as a deposit and the other half Monday after the work was done. He was polite, declined to take a lunch break, and good-natured about occasional intrusions by a very inquisitive cat. When the work was done, he showed me what he'd done, explained how to work the new controls, and made sure I was satisfied with the work. The heat and A/C have been trouble-free since then. I would highly recommend PCK to anyone.

The central AC system for a 5 level condo complex was not working. The property manager had tried to fix it but said it needed a new condenser. We called PCK and he came to the building. He met and exceeded the other AL reviews that he can source a problem and fix things others miss. This was the case here. The HVAC system was incorrectly installed and had cross wires that kept shorting out the condencer. He fixed it, double checked everything else and then tested the whole system; including topping off the freon. Very personable, thorough, master HVAC technician and very fair. I highly recommend him and PCK will be doing the ongoing maintenence for our units and is the only HVAC supplier approved for our association.

Great service! He is very considerate. He cleaned the boiler for me, which a prior company said they cleaned and he said there was no way they cleaned it.

I just want to echo the comments made by the other reviewers here. The HVAC contractor with whom I currently have a service contractor said I needed a new furnace. I was a bit skeptical because the furnace is only 11 years old. Anyway, based upon the reviews I read here on Angie's list, I called PCK because I wanted a 2nd opinion. Mirko, the owner, came out and did a thorough inspection of my system and determined that my furnace is absolutely fine. Not only that, he fixed a vibration problem that I had with the furnace that no one else could fix. This was important to me as I live in a condo so I was very aware of the noise that it was making. Mirko is honest, prompt, professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. It's refreshing to deal with such an honest, patient, thorough and knowledgeable contractor. I am going to switch my service contract to PCK.

Excellent service and competitive pricing. Mirko is the owner, estimator and installer. All the work was performed to the exacting standards he describes in his business statement. I received several estimates and his pricing was the best. More important than price, was the service provided. He noticed that my intake box was too small, so he fabricated a larger box. Installation of the outdoor unit required a wood fence to be dismantled to get the unit into the space. He did this without complaint and you couldn't tell the fence had been taken down. He thoroughly tested the unit and even offered to come back in the spring to conduct a free check to make sure it is working properly and that it has sufficient coolant pressure. Once the install was complete, he even completed the online registration of the unit was done online. He stated, "Owners typically forget to do this and it only causes me headaches later. It is just easier that I register it for them. I would highly recommend this company to family or friends.

My furnace was running -- and heating the house -- but it started to make a loud banging sound. PCK HVAC came the day after I emailed to set up an appointment, found no operational problem (after what appeared to be a very thorough examination) and tightened several bolts and a belt. The furnace is old but sounds much quieter now. I was only charged the service call fee, nothing additional. PCK HVAC also told me (happy news) that the furnace is still in good shape and I don't yet need to think about buying a new one, something that I've been worrying about. PCK HVAC sells and installs furnaces, so it would have been in its best interest to say the opposite! This is the second time I've used PCK HVAC and I am a huge fan!

Mirko is the absolute best HVAC professional I have ever worked with. I had been on a regular maintenance contract with another HVAC company - who charges by the hour - and the person they sent out spent 4 hours working on the heating unit and still had not deduced what the problem was. At that point, we parted company, and I went searching for a new HVAC company . Due to Mirko's excellent Angie's List rating and comments, I gave him a call. He was incredibly responsive, and fit me into his schedule within the next day. In very short order, he determined what the problem was, and ordered the appropriate part. The part came in very quickly, and he installed it, and the heater has been working great ever since. In addition, he is personable and gracious, especially when I forgot the date of our next appointment! I would not hire anyone else but him for all future HVAC work.

This is the best HVAC contractor I have dealt with in years. The job was done in a very professional and efficient manner. Mirko is very pleasant and easy to deal with. He explained every aspect of the job and finished the work when promised. After each day, he cleaned up the area and removed all debris. I had 3 estimates done for the same job, and Mirko's quote was by far the most reasonable. I would definitely recommend Mirko and his company to my family and friends.

His work, as always, was clean and thorough. He spent some time with me afterward talking about the possible solutions and cost to replace a malfunctioning radiator in an upstairs bedroom. I will continue to to use and recommend PCK HVAC for all my heating and cooling needs in the future.

Mirko was willing to come out at a later hour to accommodate my work schedule on multiple occasions. Sometimes we couldn't settle on my first choice of days because he wasn't certain he would be able to finish a job he already had scheduled, and I really appreciated that he didn't schedule me and then leave me waiting if he didn't complete the other appointment. I would definitely call him again if I had another issue with my HVAC.

Couldn't have gone any better. From the time he arrived to when he left, it was an efficient visit that explained the work being done; a nice change from previous companies. I was also left with a clear idea of the state of my compressor and what work may be needed in the future; including what those costs may include. Overall, an excellent company and one I highly recommend.

Showed up exactly when he said he would. Worked quickly. Diagnosed my problem. Charged with freon, it works great now. Explained there is a leak somewhere - I am going to delay that issue until later. I'd definitely use PCK again, sorry that the great "A" reports don't get as much verbiage as the lower grades.

Mirko came out the day I requested service for an AC unit that stopped working just when we were getting a heat wave. He was on time, immediately diagnosed a blown fuse, went on my roof, found out it WAS a blown fuse, and replaced it. Fast, efficient, reasonable and super friendly service. I won't use anyone else.

I cannot vouch more highly for the work that Mirko and PCK did. It was an A+++ experience from beginning to end. Everything was fantastic and went above and beyond my expectations. I spent a lot of time researching HVAC work, reading contractors forums, looking for solutions to my problems and even getting different opinions. Mirko was by far the best of them all and is really that amazingly rare contractor who does a great job, does it well, does it cheaply and does it quickly. And he is nice to boot! When I called him up he was able to come by after work (7pm!) and spent two hours with me walking through every inch of my ductwork, calculating loads and pressures and trying to figure out how we could fix it. Then, when we decided to proceed, he came within a week on a Sunday. Twice! There is no other small contractor in this city that I have ever dealt with who is willing to work for normal money on a weekend. I spent weeks looking for someone to even just come out to my house and assess the problem. I called all the big companies in the area (Home Air, Cropp, etc) and NONE of them called me back. Not a single one. I guess when you say you have ductwork in an existing house that needs repairing they just don't want to bother. Also, I had the original contractor that installed my new AC come out to try look at the problem before calling PCK. He offered to fix what he saw as the problem - running the current return up to the ceiling height of the third floor - for a thousand bucks. Problem was, his fix would have done nothing and I would have been out a grand. Mirko and PCK have done easily six times the work for just slightly more than the original contractor - and you can tell. Our house is comfortable and cool despite the record-setting heatwave that our region is experiencing.

Mirko provided an estimate on Monday and installed my new AC on Tuesday. His price was better than two others and he was able to install much more quickly--really important during a heat wave. He is knowledgeable polite and honest. He runs his own business and is very conscious of his reputation. He is more punctual than any service person I have ever met. He not only arrived when he said he would, he departed when he said he would--accurately estimating the time for the job almost to the minute. I would not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him to others.

Great experience. Mirko came out on a 100 degree Saturday afternoon, earlier than he said. Very good work and fairly priced.

Mr. Wilko is a very nice gentleman who is experienced and not afraid to climb over grown-over weeds in the backyard !! He was pleasant and has a great laugh !!! I held my breath while he was telling me how much it was gonna be... I was so relieved to hear $119.00.......
