I emailed Jon on a Sunday and he came out on Monday. He walked me through his assessment and really educated me on the situation. He didn't do the testing as it wasn't necessary (how amazing). He told me the next steps and didn't charge me for his visit. Super honest and ethical. It was extremely refreshing. I will use them to clean up the wall area affected by the water to be safe. I could not be more pleased and would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.

Very well. The workers were very conscientious and professional. I had a lot of stuff in my basement and they did a great job of moving everything and then putting it back. They had to remove paneling and replace drywall and that looked good when it was finished. There was also carpeting that had to be removed. Everything had to be cleaned and treated. Overall it was a larger project in scope than I originally thought. I had a better appreciation of the work involved once I saw the end result. I'm glad I had it done and used this company.

The guys were very professional, thorough, friendly, and helpful. They did a very good job and cleaned up completely after themselves--and they did it for a VERY reasonable price, and in less time than anticipated. Would DEFINITELY recommend them (hopefully, we won't need to use them again--but would, if the need arose).

The guys did a great job. They even went above and beyond the remediation. The did prevention by fixing a leaky gutter drain that was the source of the mold damage.

While collecting the air samples, the company representative clearly explained the process by which the samples are analyzed and interpreted. After I received the mold count results, their interpretation was provided in a separate, useful document.

MoldGone staff provided prompt response, courteous and professional work, and completed their work as quickly as they could. We had a real catastrophe! A pipe burst in the attic during a serious cold spell, sending water through the kitchen and pantry ceilings, down walls, through woodwork, and into all the kitchenware and food stored in both areas. After a plumber was able to section and repair the pipe (Jiffy Plumbing -- also provided excellent response at the end of their workday) we called MoldGone to try to stop the water already in the ceilings from traveling further and damaging more of the house. MoldGone staff returned my call quickly, and sent staff promptly to begin dehumidifying and scrubbing the air even before scheduling their work to remove damaged drywall and insulation. MoldGone staff removed all wet drywall and insulation from the ceilings, treated the beams against mold, assessed the infiltration to walls and woodwork, and secured the exterior door, which had swollen and would not close. Staff returned several times during the 5 days to check on progress of the dehumidification. MoldGone staff then reconstructed the damaged areas, replaced the old drywall with greenboard, and the old insulation with upgraded insulation. They replaced the exterior door and structure (not an easy task on a 70 year old home). Throughout, I was impressed by the MoldGone staff. Every one was professional, courteous, and obviously skilled at what they did. More important to me was they went out of their way to show they were aware that they were working on our home, not just on a job. That made the whole miserable situation so much more bearable! MoldGone has our appreciation and wholehearted recommendation.

After living in our house for 30 years, mold decided to grow in our unfinished downstairs tool/ storage room. After checking Angie's List, I called MoldGone for an initial assessment. After the assessment, Mike told me this type of mold in a room with high humidity was very common and easy to treat. I was given a contract with the price and verbal description of what would be done to fix the mold problem and keep it from coming back. I think this took about 45 minutes to an hour. Remediation took place the next week (due to a last minute cancellation). Two men arrived exactly on time at 8AM and worked until approx 3PM with an hour lunch break. Everything was moved, wiped down and replaced. When they were done, I couldn't tell anyone had been there. Everything was just a lot cleaner. This price also included a dehumidifier that now runs and drains all the time in the treated room. A week or two later Joe, (Mike's father who owns the company), came by to test the air in the house for mold spores. Samples were taken downstairs, outside the remediated room, and upstairs. Results came in 10 days (approx) later. This testing is all part of the remediation and was addressed in the initial assessment. This is a very well run family business. I would definitely recommend them and I would use MoldGone again.

I met with Jon Gordon a few days after calling for an appointment. He was on time, very polite and appeared knowledgeable. He told me that I have issues with moisture and some mold on the ceiling and he saw where water had leaked behind the tile and caused damage to the ceiling in my kitchen which is below the problem bathroom. He said that fortunately for me there did not appear to be a large mold issue because I had identified it early. He told me the repairs would need to address my problems & suggested I get a handyman to performed the work which would be cheaper for me. I really appreciated his thorough inspection, explanation & most of all, his honesty.

The crew of workers was fantastic. They carefully cleaned up the moldy areas, even places I hadn't pointed out. I found one gentleman scrubbing the bathroom wall tiles with a metal brush before painting all the grout lines with a white mild-killing paint. They removed paneling that was moldy at the bottom and painted all the framing behind it, up to 4 feet from the floor. They re-checked some areas that were in the original proposal and found they were not a problem, so the final price was lowered considerably.

Mike Mulieri came to our house a couple of times to evaluate our dehumidifier which obviously had a manufacturing defect. He ordered and installed a Santa Fe compact unit that has been working perfectly. I can not praise Mike enough who has terrific customer service skills and tries to solve issues to please the customer. He is one of the most likable and knowledgeable service people I have ever dealt with. MoldGone deserves all the praise it gets on Angie's list!

The owner came to my DC row house to investigate whether there was potentially mold in my basement after water entered due to heavy rains and water pooling outside my exterior walls between my home and my neighbor's home. Jon was awesome. He used his moisture reader along the walls and floors and while he detected moisture he did not recommend immediately tearing down walls and ripping up floors. He gave me great advice on how to fix the water issue outside, which I followed and it solved the leakage problem! He also recommended getting an industrial dehumidifier to dry out what was in the basement. After following his recommendations I have no water in the basement and no moisture readings. Jon is a professional and not trying to sell you something you may not need. Because of this, I highly recommend him and will definitely use him in the future if I do suspect a mold problem. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

He was excellent. He came at the appointed time, checkout the situation and advised that we did not have a mold problem that required work. He knew what he was doing, diagnosed the problem and told us how to solve it efficiently. He charged a reasonable amount, rather than the minimum for a full test of the air.

Jon Gordon is a consummate professional. He assessed our situation, and presented a proposal to remove mold from our basement bathroom. We will review that work again after it is done.. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family. They are really very good.
