They are a great company. I had them repair 1 oak dining room chair and make repairs to a second chair. They had great recommendations about the chairs and were very honest. I ended up using them subsequently for several antique upholstery projects. They did a fantastic job. I got an estimate from them to also re-upholster an antique love seat and chair. They also ended up re-gluing the rest of the dining room chairs and work on some other chairs. They have a real respect and appreciation for your furniture and antiques. They do not charge to pick up or deliver your furniture. They saved me hundreds of dollars for not charging me for that. I have worked with Wilson Delgado and he has been wonderful to work with. He is timely and comes out when he says he will. He has been top notch and scheduling was super easy. My neighbor is also using the company because she was so impressed with their work.

The service turned out really good. I had a hard time getting a hold of, and I made many appointments but nobody ever showed up, then I finally got the work done. I had to pay more money, because the big deal did not cover all the charges. I found it a little expensive, because the certificate didn't cover everything. The quality was really good, and they did a good job. He was very professional, and he was a nice man. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Delgado was very professional and pleasant. Arrived on time and delivered on time. I gave him two more pieces to repair and he is working on those. I like him and his work.

I cannot say enough nice things about Mr. Delgado. He is an absolute miracle worker! The rocking chair he did for me was my grandmother's and had been in my basement for years. It was VERY neglected. Thanks to Mr. Delgado it is once again a beautiful piece that I hope to rock my grandchildren in some day. He did such a great job that when he delivered the rocking chair I sent him off with a table to repair and refinish. I will highly recommend him everyone. He is talented, friendly and the work he did was well worth the cost. Such a pleasure to work with him!

Mr. Delgado was very pleasant and reasonable. The antique china cabinet needed joints tightened and was particularly tricky because of its curved glass front. He handled it with care so that we had confidence in his ability to handle this irreplaceable heirloom. We used a Deal and he honored that price without a problem.

I had to call several times so I could come and pick up the chair. There was a glich in the system since they just moved and the owner explained that to me. They did a good job on the repair.

He did work for us before, and so this is the 2nd time that we are using him. He did a very good job the first time. He stripped 5 layers of paint off of a China Closet and repaired it, and it looks new. He underestimates how long things will take, and we know that things will take longer than he says, so we are not worried about that. I purchased the big deal for my mother, she has chairs that needed to be reinforced and reupholstered. He is very nice. His punctuality is not the greatest, but I can overlook that as his work is excellent. I have had difficulty communicating with him. There was a miscommunication about what time he was supposed to come to my mothers, and I waited until 8:00 but he did not show up. They close the gates at 8:00 so I had to go there again another day.

The initial contact was prompt and professional. Mr. Delgado came at the appointed time to pick up my chairs. He is a very professional, polite, respectful businessman. This was the first time I have ever had furniture reupholstered and I felt comfortable in dealing with Mr. Delgado. He picked up my chairs on Thursday, July 24th. I had to buy the fabric which was a difficult job for me. I had to consult several friends and design shops before I settled on fabrics. Mr. Delgado picked up the fabric from my home on Wednesday, August 13th. On Thursday, September 4th I realized I hadn't asked for a target date for the delivery of the completed chairs. I emailed Mr. Delgado and asked him for a possible delivery date. He responded with a date of Friday, September 26th. The date came and went without an email or call from Mr. Delgado. I waited until Sunday evening, September 28th to email Mr. Delgado about the missed appointment. At this point I'm getting worried about my chairs. Mr. Delgado did email me on Monday, September 29th with an apology. He had a family emergency and had to leave town. He said that he would call me during the week to set up a new delivery date. By Thursday, October 9th I still hadn't received a phone call about a new appointment. I emailed him and asked if he'd rather not complete the chairs. He emailed me with a new delivery date set for Wednesday, October 15th. When he delivered the chairs all the anxiety I had about them vanished. The chairs are beautiful having been very professionally cleaned and upholstered. I have been given unsolicited compliments about the chairs by every visitor to my home who was familiar with the chairs from before and by some who were seeing them for the first time. I would have given Metropolitan Restoration Center an A for Responsiveness and Punctuality if I had received a phone call or email about the missed appointment or a rescheduled appointment. I would use him again with a better understanding about prompt communication.

The table looks beautiful. Wilson was a lovely professional man who did an excellent job. He estimated that it would take two weeks to complete the work, and that is exactly what it took. His initial estimate cost did not change. Contacting him and confirming pick and drop off was a bit challenging...numerous emails and calls, but in the end it was all worth it.

He did a great job on both pieces of furniture. Very responsive and prompt. Quality work and excellent service! I was very pleased with his work. The chair he repaired is a family heirloom and I appreciate his work on it.

Metropolitan Restoration Center Inc came and picked it up. They had it for three or four weeks which was fine with me since I was in no rush to get it back. It was beautiful. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Furniture looks very good. He was able to work on site for the large pieces. Expensive, even with discounts, but worth it and would definitely call him again.

I think I did a big deal with him and he's working on my chairs but no finished yet. I paid him two hundred extra dollars because I had four antique dining room chairs that needed to be repaired. Three needed to be glued but one needed work. He came over and picked them up and he will deliver them too. He couldn't have been nicer. It's the first time I would have used them or first time I've used anybody with restoration. I have an idea I would use him again but I want to see what the finished product looks like. If the finished product doesn't look great I'm not using him again. He did it by pictures and in the end I gave him six chairs but he said two of the chairs were fine. He originally gave me $475 so I spent $200 dollars worth and I wrote him a check again for $200 so right now I'm up like $400. He was very good and couldn't have nicer. He knew what he was looking at. He told me what he thought needed to be done which I agreed with. The only thing I'm now doing is looking to see what the end result is. He told me it would take a few weeks. I haven't been disappointed yet. If everything goes well I will use him again because I have some stuff he can do.

They did a beautiful job on half the job and they didn't come back to get the other furniture. It's a mixed bag. What they charged was a very good price. They didn't come back to get the other furniture. I've called but they haven't responded. They're very friendly, very nice and very responsive. He was much less than other estimates I had.

It went great Wilson and his assistant came several times to complete the job, as it was more complicated than originally thought. He was very professional and really knew what he was doing! Don't think anyone else could have done better. Only problem we had is that he was late a few times. However, we would and will use him again.

The chest and its mirror are now absolutely stunning! Wilson did a fabulous job of not only cleaning the chest but also made numerous repairs. We are thrilled and the entire transaction could not have gone more smoothly. We only wish we had a place for it on our first floor!

Our initial meeting went very poorly. He was extremely late. He kept telling me he would be there in a couple of minutes and couple of minutes turned into an hour and then two. I cannot attest to the quality of his work, but I advise that you make sure he knows where he is going.

Wilson Delgado was slow in replying to me because he had been on vacation. However, he was very polite and competent. He even reduced the price after he physically saw the table’s damage.

Wilson Delagado did a great job on our table. He is an excellent craftsman. He is not as well organized as he needs to be. He missed our first appointment and was late in delivering the table. Nevertheless I would use him again. He is honest and does excellent work but he requires patience.

I am so pleased with the restoration of this cabinet! I will definitely be using Wilson for future furniture restoration projects. Wilson was very responsive over email and was super friendly and professional when picking up and delivering the finished piece to me. The only slight complaint was that both times we had set pick up/delivery times, he called to readjust the time the day of. This wasn't a problem for me because I happened to be home all day on both days.

A few weeks after moving to the DC area, I bought a used leather sofa from a friend and had it delivered to my apartment. Unfortunately, upon arrival the sofa's wooden frame had a 10-inch crack in it and other structural problems resulting from water damage combined with the stress of moving. Metropolitan Restoration to the rescue -- they picked up my sofa, fixed it at their shop, and delivered it back to my apartment, and now my sofa is stronger than it ever has been and looks better than I ever remember seeing it. Along the way, Mr. Delgado and his team were nothing but polite, responsive, and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to call Metropolitan Restoration again.

The piece of furniture I want refinished is actually going to cost less than the price of the deal.

I was expecting $99 of work, they came back with estimate and I just kindly told them that I won’t need the service.

Mr. Delgado did an outstanding job repairing and stripping an antique china closet. It had several layers of paint and the top was broken. He did an excellent job we were stunned by the transformation. He also stripped and refinished an antique wall mirror that had been painted black. The wood underneath is beautiful and we are so pleased. We are going to use his services again.refinished

Mr. Delgado did a wonderful job refinishing a table that has been in the family almost 100 years. He is a joy to work with, very polite and very professional. He picked up and delivered at the appointed times. This is the second project he has done for us and we are very pleased and will use him again in the future. Highly recommended.
