Description of Work: Mr. Delgado picked up our coffee table and did a complete refinishing job including the slate inserts. When we found out he did the slate, we had him take and refinish the end table slate tops as well. The coffee table is like new and the slate tops look better than when new. We definitely intend to have some more refinishing work done. His pricing is very reasonable and the pieces look as good or better than when new.

Description of Work: When I purchased the "Big Deal" I planned to use the restoration services on my wooden bedroom furniture. When I learned that the services are not performed in home and that I would have to live without my bedroom furniture for a few weeks, I decided to have a different piece of furniture restored. That work went fine, although the table could not be completely restored due to corrosion. The whole process took a long time. |Wilson is a very nice man and does good work.

Description of Work: Had my dining room table refinished. He did a great job although it took a lot longer than I had expected. Communication could have been better.

Description of Work: They repaired the reclining mechanism on my 46 year-old Eames Reproduction Lounge Chair. They tightened all the fittings and cleaned the leather and wooden parts. I value the patina of age on the chair and Mr. Delgado appreciated that sentiment. |My husband and I were so pleased with the work that we agreed to have some furniture pieces refinished.

Description of Work: Covered scratches on the chair's legs (2X). Mr. Delgado was professional and did a good job on our two chairs. However, the delivery process was a bit too long for us.

Description of Work: Metropolitan Restoration completely refinished a mahogany ladies dressing table and matching chair that belonged to my grandmother. Mr. Delgado did an amazing job as the entire piece needed re-gluing, stripping and refinishing. Both pieces were returned looking not new, but like they should look: beautiful antique heirlooms. I plan to give Restoration other heirloom pieces to refinish.

Description of Work: Mr. Delgado was a charming lovely man, very well mannered. My one disappointment is that he kept the table for weeks and weeks, and I had trouble getting responses from him as to when he could return the table. He did not appear for one scheduled delivery, and said later that his men could not find my condo. He did explain that he had a death in the family, which accounted for the length of time it took him to do the job. I was also disappointed that when he came to pick up the table, which was supposed to be a $99 job, he added a $50 charge to it immediately. But the finished product is beautiful, and as I said, he is a very beautifully mannered gentleman, which is much appreciated these days.

Description of Work: Contacted service provider re: request to have a buffet restored. He told me that he would send an estimate within a few hours. I never received an estimate. I called him back again a few days later to state that I never received his estimate. Again, he stated that I would receive it within a few hours. He sent nothing. I called him this morning, and no one would answer the phone. This is why am requesting a refund. I do not want to deal with this company.

Description of Work: While I was pleased with the final outcome of the refurbishment, I was less thrilled by some of the challenges to getting the project done. On the plus side, the owner came to my home for an assessment on a weekend and picked up/returned my furniture in home at no cost. Unfortunately, he tended to run late by up to an hour when coming to my home. I never received information about what kind of fabric to purchase or from where. I could not reach anyone when the owner was on vacation (but did not have an out of office message). Again, I commend the craftsmanship but cannot recommend this business to others simply due to the time and effort it required of me as a customer.

Only issue is that he did not follow my husbands directions and preserve a portion specifically identified not to be repaired as it was a sentimental "damage"... other then that the work that was done was very good and the table is beautiful again.
