Eco-friendly landscaping services including coaching, designing, and implementation. Landscape practices emphasize use of native plants, wildlife friendly gardens, edible landscapes, rainwater capture and management, and walkways and patios.
Also I'm available especially during the winter for eco-friendly interior painting and light handyman services.
We met Matt a few times on nature walks that he leads and were excited to learn that he also designs gardens. We love his respect for native species, which we were really looking for. I did most of the hard work, but got Matt to remove some of the bigger yard waste (tree stumps, bushes, etc.). He spent some time interviewing us in our yard and getting a vision for what we should plant. A few weeks later, he gave us a carefully drawn layout of about 50 plants, with grasses, groundcover, bushes, and a tree. The plants are all native species and we won't have to water them after the first year. He also sold us almost all of the plants we used, and only one didn't make it through the first year. We love how the yard looks and are looking forward to hiring Matt to help us with another section of the yard soon. He's also done work for a neighbor that looks great.

Matt is simply amazing. The work he has done for us has always been extremely high quality, and the costs have always been very reasonable. Whether it has been a complex garden design/installation or a simple spring cleanup, it has been a pleasure to work with him. He is very conscientious and scrupulously honest and fair. We also greatly appreciate his enthusiasm, and his advice on using native plants to attract songbirds and butterflies. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
Description of Work: This particular job was a short consultation regarding relocating some plants in our yard. However, we have had Matt do extensive landscaping work at our house at least 2-3x per year for at least the last 5 years or so. This work has included landscape/garden design and implementation of the designs (planting, etc), installing raised beds and planting vegetable gardens, installing wood chips and mulch in various parts of our outdoor spaces, clean-up and pruning, and also handyman work such as refurbishing an outdoor wrought iron hand rail alongside our steps.
