Description of Work: This company showed up on the day they said they would, they cleared some old gardening debris/pine needles from under my children's playground and mulched the area. I paid an additional amount to include mulching under some tree's and along a flower border. Everything appeared good, although I watched them 'throw' the mulch under the trees by the handful. I was busy inside the house and didn't pay too much attention. Everything seemed good. A week or two later I noticed weeds coming through the mulch. The previous year we had used a different company and this had not happened, there has not been much rain at this point so the weeds could not be blamed on rain or anything. After another week I noticed there was barely a covering on the ground, not the 3 inch depth I thought they had spread but barely half an inch. I took pictures and contacted MA Landscaping, they took weeks to respond, they tried to blame the weeds on rain and also on the fact that the mulch was organic. This was hard for me to agree with and I questioned that, firstly, there had been no rain when I took the pictures, in fact you can see in the pictures the ground is very dry, secondly, you can see the depth of the mulch is almost non existent. I finally got MA Landscaping to agree their work had been below standard and they said they would come back out and put down more mulch. That was the last I heard from them. They never returned with anymore mulch. To say I am/was disappointed is an understatement especially as they are rated so highly on Angies List.

Description of Work: They cleared the back yard, blowing out the leaves, carrying out broken branches, pulling overgrown weeds and vines. It was a monumental task but the two workers did a very thorough job. They hauled away all the debris and left the yard looking clean and manicured.

Description of Work: I had purchased a 'deal' for purchase and spreading of 3 cubic yards of mulch. I then purchased an additional 3 cu yds to make sure there was enough and prioritized the areas to be mulched. ALL my beds were mulched neatly and still look good today, 2 months later.

Description of Work: In addition to the mulch I purchased through an Angie's List deal, I hired MA to remove 6 dead shrubs and do the yard weeding and clean up prior to spreading the mulch in my front, side and back yard. It's a very small yard but I was impressed with their attention to detail and responsiveness via email. Very prompt.
