From the start we were very clear: We asked the provider to deliver exactly the services that are stipulated in our written contract as concluded via Angie's List Big deal, nothing more and nothing less. However, the provider insisted repeatedly we need to pay more money, otherwise it will stop providing the contracted services. We asked the provider to stop harassing with this blackmail tactic. In the absence of any additional contract, we do not owe additional amounts - but we did prepay services for one year in full - and the provider is not providing the services. We need a full refund and Angie's List should not work together with blackmailing companies and try to extort money from its clients. Our property complies with the eligibility criteria as defined in the Angie's List big deal offer. However the provider said from the start that the yard is big and the provider wanted to cancel the contract. We asked the provider to comply with the contract. So the blackmailing attempts seem to be a deliberate tactic to get ridd of a property that is bigger than others and just keep servicing smaller properties - thus cherry-picking the easiest properties and chasing away the others, which is a breach of contract and deceptive towards Angie's List as Angie's List trusts the provider to service all ist customers (as long as the property complies with the defined eligibility criteria) while, in fact, the provider cherry-picks and turns away those he seems less lucrative.

MA did a terrific job. They came as scheduled and were meticulous about the work.

Everything was delivered as noted in the listing. Timely and courteous. They even blew our back deck clean which was not part of the price.

While this was just an estimate this is significantly higher than other firms in the area for similar services.

The mulch was delivered and the guys did a great job of spreading it. They also did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. The only problem was they showed up a day earlier than they told me. The mixup in scheduling prevented me from being there when they did the work.

Once we made contact for the online purchase they scheduled the delivery and placement promptly. Four workers showed up in the morning and in about 20 minutes had everything spread nicely and evenly over all the beds with no mess left behind - we're very happy with the end results.

My property has never looked so good. The landscape designer was so talented and creative that I couldn't be more pleased. She moved plants, redid some of the pots on my stoop and basically made the curb appeal amazing. The weeds were expertly disposed of and my bushes looked manicured and gorgeous. The mulch was professionally done. In fact I mulch every year but have never had such a pleasing finished product. The only negative, which was minor, was that the team arrived late. That may be due to the schedule person and not the team themselves. They certainly made up for the delay in their fabulous finished product! They were worth the wait. This was my first experience with them, and I look forward to a continued association. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the Angie's List deal, and it was a great price for the service. It took several days for the company to reach out to schedule the work, which wasn't surprising given the value, and I was able to schedule 8 days after purchase. The crew arrived first thing in the morning on the date scheduled. I walked the property with them to give instruction as to where I wanted the mulch spread. By the time I came back outside, they had ripped up my soaker hoses and had begun spreading the mulch. I explained that I had laid the hose with the intention of having it buried under the mulch. They said they would reattach the hoses, and I had assumed they understood my request that the hose be buried. I returned home from work to find my hose strewn on top of the mulch having obviously been dragged over some of my plantings. The hoses were originally held in place by lawn staples. My biggest concern with the work is that the hose was not re-stapled, and that the staples themselves were left all over the place. Many were buried under the mulch that had been spread. I have a 2 year old son and now worry about him stepping on or digging up the staples. That is absolutely unacceptable. At the end of the day, I chalk the experience up to "you get what you pay for". The quality of the mulch is good, but the quality of application left a lot to be desired. I saw this deal as a low cost way to audition a new landscaping company for additional work I'm planning this summer. Unfortunately, due to the issues with their work, I don't plan to use MA Landscaping and Design again.

Delivery was supposed to be 9 May. I took leave and you never called nor showed up. I received a call Monday and was told that they had ran out of mulch. I set up for delivery on 14 May but I needed to be there so i wanted a phone call first. I never received a phone call. I arrived home after 7pm to find mulch had been put in places I did not want mulch. One of my garden beds had a fledging tree that was ripped out and laying on my grass, other flowers ahd been crushed or trampledd, a pot was broken and rocks preserved in a put for use in another garden bed are gone. This is by far the WORST transaction I have ever experienced. I replanted my tree but it doesnt appear to be alive any longer. What is wrong with you!! What kind of business is this. I hope Angies list removes you. I am beyond angry and disgusted with MA Landscape. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

These guys were great. Got an extra yard at an exceptional price, the work was quick and efficient, excellent cleanup.

The original deal was an Angie's list special to deliver and spread 3 1/2 cubic years of mulch which I prepaid via Paypal. Crew showed up on time with mulch. Crew chief spoke passable english, language was not a problem. Before beginning he asked if I wanted additional services and specifically mentioned the edging. The crew was obviously willing to provide additional services so be advised if you have additional work, and they are already on site, you may be able to negotiate a favorable price. I had concerns about the edging because I have subsurface low voltage wiring to the gardens I didn't want cut by the shovels. Not a problem, when I pointed out the wiring crew chief took care of it. Work crew was a cheerful bunch, didn't waste any time. When finished the crew chief and I walked the work to ensure I was satisfied. Thumbs-Up.

MA contacted me promptly and scheduled the delivery very fast. They contacted me 3 times for reminders and to ensure they had the order correct. The showed up on schedule...and did a better job spreading the high quality mulch than I ever imagined for this price. They were 1/2 the cost of the next lowest estimate and did a fantastic job. Use these guys...I will again!!

Outstanding! This is a small business with a very industrious proprietor. They showed up on time and the owner and his team worked hard and completed the job promptly. My wife had a dental emergency that caused me to call the landscaper to ask if our appointment for today could be scheduled for the morning so I could take my wife to an afternoon appointment with the dentist. I tried both numbers and got voice mails. This made me a little concerned. However, within fifteen minutes I received a call back from the owner who agreed to come first thing in the morning. He did what he said. They were here ready to work at 7:15 AM. Once here, they did the work and had sufficient mulch to cover all the prime areas and to extend it to secondary beds. Then they cleaned everything up and even blew the dust and leaves off of my deck to neaten things up. This experience exceeded my expectations in every way. I hope they offer this deal again when it is time to re-mulch.

MA Landscape and Design's service was fantastic. They were very thorough and neat in their work. They showed up when we needed them and took care of all the projects on our list. We plan to continue using them throughout the season to mow our grass and keep our yard looking great. After 30 years I'm unable to do the yard work like I used too. So its a relief to be able to hire someone reliable to do it for me. Thank you Angie's List!

These guys were great! They showed up on time, got right to work and were done quickly. The work was well done and they cleaned up afterwards. No mess anywhere. There was a mistake in the color of the mulch and they offered to repair the mistake at no expense to me, but we actually liked the dark brown mulch in lieu of the black mulch we requested. I was pleased with their responsiveness and integrity. I plan to use their services again and have already talked with Adriano about additional work.

In addition to the mulch the provider cleared leaves from the area and other areas not involved at no additional charge. All work was done thoroughly and neatly.

My original scheduled service date was 24 April but I was called on 22 April around 2pm to get permission to begin work that evening. I agreed and the crew began work at 4pm. The team of three completed both services by 8pm. I emailed the company the following morning to ask if they would be returning and was told they were complete. While the work was taking place one of the crewmen asked where I'd like to have the mulch spread and I showed him. I told him that I would pay more if additional mulch was required. At that time he said he only had the 3 cubic yards on the truck. I also discussed the pruning of my shrubs and was told that many were getting ready to bloom and he recommended against pruning. He is the professional and I have no reason to question his assessment. My email to the company after they stated services were completed was to let them know I was not satisfied with service. This crew worked approximately 12 man-hours for both services procured and I felt they were just in a hurry to complete before dark and depart. I did not receive a reply from the company. To summarize, I paid $700 to get mulch spread and leaves removed from my back yard.
