Greg the owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. Drain works great.

The job entailed installing a catch basin at the low point of our backyard, routing two backyard downspouts to a 12' French drain attached to the basin, and a further 40' of buried drain pipe to carry the water out to the street. The estimate was competitive, the job took about 5 hours, and they did a very nice job landscaping the excavated dirt and covering the worked area with grass seed, hay, and, where appropriate, mulch. We are very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Kuipers, as well as hire them again for future work of this type. Greg Kuipers made a couple of excellent suggestions about the nature of the work, which we followed, and the final result exceeded our expectations.

Greg and his team did a professional and thorough job. Greg was the first person to get back to me on an estimate and immediately diagnosed what the drainage problem was by using a simple hose trick. Once we knew what the problem was, the best solution and least invasive was to divert the water with a french drain and swale. Work was done in just a few days after signing contract and completely in less than a day. All workers were polite and cleaned up afterwards. Besides that Greg is very nice person to work with, which means a lot to me.

This project was completed over a year ago. Mr. Kuiper communicated well and did exactly what he proposed in a timely way. So far we have had excellent results, although please note that we also put in an interior waterproofing system in the basement a few months later for additional protection prior to remodeling our basement.

The project went well. Combined with waterproofing of the basement we have done everything we could to keep the basement dry!

Called Kuipers because we had our sump pump draining almost constantly creating a marsh in the backyard. Mr. Kuipers came when he said and spent a considerable time looking around. He then quoted us what I thought was an extremely reasonable price to dig a trench for a french drain about 30 feet into the yard. That would have solved the marsh issue but didn't address why the pump was kicking off so frequently. He then suggested who to contact to look into that problem. We followed his advice and were able to resolve the sump pump problem which solved the backyard marsh issue as well, and thus, we did not need Mr. Kuipers services. I would definitely call him again for his services.

The crew showed up on time and completed the work in half a day; Greg Kuiper, the owner, showed up with them, looked over the work area, and supervised himself for the first portion, and then returned later to look over it at the end. They also used extra dirt and grass seed to do a little additional leveling at no charge, and cleaned up after themselves completely. The service is indeed more expensive than hiring a crew of college kids to dig, but the speed and expertise is worth the price.

I called Greg on his cell phone and he answered right away. He immediately shared that his company does not work in Virginia, so that he would not be able to do the job. However, he was kind enough to stay on the phone with me to listen to the description of our problem and give us advice on how to proceed. Greg was knowledgable, patient, professional, and extremely helpful. If he worked in Virginia or we lived in Maryland, I would feel very confident hiring him. Really good guy.

Greg is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He can just eyeball the grade and know what will and won't work. The job was done quickly, professionally and worked perfectly. They left the area, clean and seeded so that in a few weeks you would not know any work was ever done except the drainage problems were gone.

Greg returned my call the next day, came for the estimate when he said he would, and completed the job the following week. He was friendly and professional and also gave a recommendation for a tree trimming company.

Not good. Called several times on several days without success. Left a message on the answering machine. Never returned the call.

I approached several companies for estimates, but Greg offered the most reasonable, cost-effective solution to our drainage problem and a detailed written proposal. Plus i was impressed with the reviews of his previous work on Angie's List. On the designated day he arrived with 3 other guys, including his son, Austin. They extended the right front downspout underground into a 4-inch solid pipe that exited at the front of the flower bed so that any water generated from the sump pump in the basement would drain away from the house. They extended the left rear corner downspout underground into a 4-inch solid pipe into the back yard approximately 20 feet, exiting into a pop-up drain. They also connected the sump pump discharge pipe. They did a minor regrade along the right side of the house. They put mulch over the grading in the flower bed, seed and straw over the grading in the lawn area, and raised the right rear corner splash block. They built up the grade along the fence in the right rear yard with topsoil approximately 2 inches higher and out from the fence approximately 3 feet, and distributed seed and straw over the topsoil. Finally they pulled up 3 or 4 rows of deck boards on the rear deck and regraded the soil along the rear of the house underneath the deck to slope away from the house. Then they relaid and nailed deck boards. They regraded along the rear of the house from the deck to the left rear corner. They distributed seed and straw over the grading. As an extra bonus Greg fixed the latch on one of our gates that had settled. As the work proceeded Greg answered my questions and at the end he walked me through the work, explaining what I would have to do to maintain the work. I waited for around 2 months to make sure the drainage system worked through the rainy season. When I noticed that the lid to the pop-up cover was broken, I called Greg and he came out soon after, replacing it at no extra charge. My husband and I are pleased with the results of this project and would hire this company again.

Greg came punctually with his crew of 4 in total. Done the job superbly and cleanly. Tested the job done to make sure the problem fixed.

Contractor came to our house to evaluate our flooding basement problem and identified a French drain as the best solution to our flooding problem. He prepared an estimate, and when we accepted it he scheduled and did the work promptly and professionally.

We've been very pleased with Greg Kuipers. He is a landscaper who specializes in drainage issues. He repaired basement window wells, did some re-grading near the house including removing bushes and planting, and added a french drain to a concrete sidewalk. His work completely solved our problems of standing water and leaking basement.

It could not have gone better. After area flooding this spring, we had water in our basement for the first time in 25 years. The insurance company refused to pay for any of the damages, and sent an engineer-investigator who provided a simplistic description of the problem and no guidance for a solution. Greg was responded promptly, scheduled a site visit within a couple of days, answered all of our questions about alternative approaches to the problem, and promptly submitted a detailed bid. We agreed on a date for the work to begin, and it was all done in just a few days. They were meticulous about keeping the dust-dirt level to a minimum on the interior work (something of a challenge given the need to jackhammer a trough in the concrete basement floor), and they were equally meticulous when restoring the exterior after installing several drains and piping under a slate walkway and in the lawn. The bid was reasonable and he stayed on budget. Greg and his crew were businesslike, friendly, prompt, and professional in every regard. We recommend his work without qualification.
