The first time, we had a long list of tasks that needed to be done. Jesse handled all the tasks that could be completed within a day, and clearly explained why the other ones would take more work and expense. The jobs included things like filling in and repainting holes on doors; planing and refitting solid-frame doors that were sticking and would no longer close properly; installing a ceiling fan; etc. His rate is very reasonable, and he did everything quickly, keeping the total price even lower. Even though he worked quickly, he did everything very well, and clearly explained what he did and why. The second time, somebody had tried to kick in our front door, and had severely damaged the door frame. We needed somebody to come and repair it immediately. Jesse came almost right away after I called him, and he had the frame fixed completely within an hour. It is, if anything, more secure than it was before, and, after a little paint, you would never know that anything had happened. This was at 6:30 in the evening on a weekday night, but Jesse didn't charge extra for the emergency call or the late hour. We were very happy with everything that Jesse did, and we are planning to hire him for a major project, to remodel two bathrooms.

mr. davis is a pleasant young man who performed the many tasks we had for him with professional excellence, efficiency and speed. he is very reliable and cleaned up the debris when he was finished. i will be using his services again.

Good guy. Not the cheapest hourly rate, but he worked quickly. It helped a bunch to have the materials ready.

He completed all tasks as requested. We even added tasks and he had no problem completing those additional tasks which were completed satisfactorily. I recently called him back and left a vm to schedule another apt for my other property and he never called me back. I called him again and he sounded as if he couldn't be bothered to complete the tasks I needed help with. He said he would call me back to schedule an apt, but never did. I'm now searching through Angie's List for a new handyman who likes repeat business.

Jesse is pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, prompt, professional and efficient. A real professional who's services I highly recommend.

Jesse did a great job. We had items that had been annoying us for over a year and within a few hours all of them were taken care of. I called him in the morning, he was able to schedule me for early that afternoon and was done in under 3 hours. We'd had a new breaker box installed a couple of years ago (in our basement family room), and the electrician was not able to perform any carpentry work. As a result, we had a large hole in the wall. Jesse cleaned up the opening, added interior framing and insulation, and a wooden hinged door to cover it all. It is certainly an improvement. He also replaced a burned out electrical light switch that the electrician had installed and never worked. Finally, he installed self-closing hinges to our door on the main floor that leads to the basement. Thus, thwarting our dogs from sneaking down there and getting into trouble.

The details are that this handyman didn't even take the time to call back. It would have been acceptable for him to have said that he doesn't do that type of work or any explanation would have been appreciated but I guess professionalism is lacking, among other traits.

He had all the material, arrived within the time, gave us the option if we wanted him to clean, or for us to clean. We chose to clean up so we could maximize his time.

This was my second job from Jesse. He came out on a Saturday (June 29) because I had nonfunctioning kitchen plumbing and houseguests coming. I asked him to unclog the kitchen sink drain, replace the disposal, and see why my dishwasher was flooding the floor. He actually got the old disposal working again, told me it shouldn't need replacement for several years, and told me how to fix it myself if it jams again! Then he verified that the dishwasher was now functioning correctly and made sure the sink was clear. He is efficient, knows what he's doing, and cleans up. He is also pleasant, personable, and interesting to talk to.

The stinkbugs had become a nuisance, up to a half dozen every day either dying in skylight or escaping into the bathroom. We called Mr. Davis, who returned our call that afternoon, and was able to fit us in the next day. He arrived about a half hour late, but he gave us 2.5 hours, and only charged for 2. Mr. Davis was neatly dressed, polite, and efficient. He quickly sized up the situation and recommended a solution. We had a standard size plastic replacement panel, but it needed to be cut to fit the actual opening. We had tried to do that ourselves, but succeeded only in cracking and chipping the panel. He was able cut it properly and save having to buy a new panel. He did have to run to a nearby Home Depot to get the foam and screen, but he worked quickly and was able to fit several additional plumbing repairs into our two-hour time slot. He cleaned up everything nicely.

Very professional, excellent work. I had some minor things around the house, which Jesse completely perfectly. Very punctual and efficient. I am sure I will be calling him again.

the dry wall repair was completed in 1 hour. the crew cleaned up when they were completely finish the job.

Was looking for a handyman, and was testing the waters with Jesse Davis. There were 4 repairs that I thought would take 4 hours. Not only did he show me that one of the repairs was unnecessary (the ceiling fan in the bathroom was working), but performed the tasks quickly and efficiently. He finished in 2 hours, including a run to the hardware store. He is reliable, does good work efficiently, and communicates very well about the work being done. I'm already coming up with the next bunch of work for him! Great Job Jesse.

I will absolutley use Jesse for home repairs again. He was pleasant, proficient and overall it was a really good experience. HIghly recommend!

I called Jesse and he happened to have just left a job and was not far from my house, and he came right away. He completed the work in about 2 hrs, including a run to the home supply store. I felt that he was very straightforward, honest, efficient, and qualified. He does work in all areas of home improvement, and I hope to hire him again in the future for much bigger jobs. I was very happy with the experience.

I have used Jesse before for various things around house and I used him again recently. I emailed him, he called to set a time and did what he could. He had to get some parts to finish work, and I got some parts for him to finish other things. He is always on time, efficient, professional and great to work with

He was nice, I liked him. After that happened I called him back, but he didn’t return my call.

He did a great job! I definitely would recommend him.

He was fabulous. I am going to use him during Christmas to put up some lighting. He is outstanding and anything he does is outstanding. I spent $150 and that was for two hours. The minimum you need to hire him is for two hours. He is extremely intelligent and he is always on time. The first time I had him here was a disaster and I had him here for several days. We had huge pieces of art lying around which are difficult to hang around and the guy can figure out anything and fix any complex issue and solve. He also has tremendous design sense so he was designing a whole way on how the photographs go all the way up to the ceiling and it just looks so professional. He is outstandingly creative. He is also very pleasant and he works very hard. He gets a tremendous amount done in the time he is here. If I had hired anyone else they would have taken twice the amount of time to do that stuff and it would have not been as good. He has done a lot of work for me and he has accomplished a lot. I plan to use him once a month for regular stuff around the house.

I called Jesse after finding his name on Angie's List. I left a message and Jesse returned my call by the end of the day. This was refreshing because I have called other and gotten no response. He was able to come out the next afternoon and repair / patch a damaged area around a skylight. He initially thought it would take him three hours to complete the work but he finished in two hours and adjusted he fee to reflect that. While he was here he gave me some great advice and rough pricing estimates on several other jobs I am looking to have done in the future. He was straight forward about his price, his scope of work, and his availability. He told me he was very busy right now and wouldn't be able to get to some of the other larger projects we looked at anytime soon, but since I was looking at completing them months down the road that was not an issue and I loved that he was upfront about it. I will definitely call Jesse again.

It went great. I had just moved into this new house 2 days before and the moving men left a terrible dizaster zone in the house. Jessie moved the furniture around to start out and put the living room to start, which loooks wonderful. The art that needed to be hung was large , heavy and challenging.......all the many things he fixed , left me very happy...............

My maintenance man could not fix the door in my closet. I called him and he fixed the problem immediately. He was only here for about 10 minutes. He was prompt and professional.

I could not have been more pleased from start to finish!

We had a recessed florescent fixture over a double sink that needed to be replaced. Jesse removed the old fixture and replaced it with two recessed can lights and added an additional light over the walk area. His work was professional, neat and without drama. It was a great experience.
